  1. My nickname since my wife and I started dating was the Bear, I live in the North Country, although grew up in WNY.
  2. Toughest matchups against GB appear to be OLB/Edge Rashaan Gary, who is their best player so far with 6 sacks, and will give Dawkins and probably a tight end or FB all they can handle. Gary has 11 sacks in his last 10 games, and is still on his first round rookie contract, so will be looking for Von type money in the near term; and their NT Kenny Clark against our guards, although Morse may help with this, may put a lot of pressure on the center of our O line.
  3. They might get a mulligan on the Miami game, given the heat-related attrition of the OL that day. Baltimore wasn't pretty, esp in the first half. Would like to see some semblance of a competent [non-QB] running game, even when we get out to a lead, if for no other reason to burn clock and force the opposing defense to pick their poison.
  4. At one point in the Miami game, the Bills’ offensive line consisted of Dawkins-Saffold-Mancz-Doyle-Quessenberry.
  5. In the KC game, if he hadn't been tripped, he was evading Chris Jones, and probably would have been able to get the pass off.
  6. Doubt he is a good fit for Kromer's pin and pull system which requires pretty athletic O-lineman. Josh's mobility requires that the O-line needs to be able to move as well. Relative Athletic Score for the Bills regular Olinemen are all in the high 8's and 9's, Williams is a 2.5.
  7. Another famous late blooming draft choice that took a few years to develop was Sandy Koufax, he could always throw the heat, but control was not his strong suit. He finally figured it out at age 26 and had five dominating seasons before his arm fell off. His personal catcher, Norm Sherry, did a lot for his development, and I think Diggs is Allen's Norm Sherry.
  8. EJ Manuel and Vince Young come to mind in this respect,
  9. Shakir is taller and heavier, just as fast as McKenzie [4.43 vs. 4.42], has a much higher high point [Height [4.5in] + vertical [2.5in] is 7 inches higher]. McDirty is quicker in tight spots, but had two tight spots [backward lateral and end zone] vs. KC where he didn't catch the ball.
  10. I've wondered for a bit if CMC transitions from a RB, which is no longer a valued position, to receiver. Deebo has done well in this regard, receivers are getting paid, very few RB's are. Franchise tag is 18MM+ for WR, 9MM+ for RB's. He does have to show that he's not made of glass tho. I'm old enough to remember Bobby Mitchell doing just that when he was traded from the Cleveland to Washington.
  11. Fortunately Josh most of the time has the Houdini gene. I wonder if O line weakness is a blessing in disguise because teams see what's going on and lose track of our receivers. The Josh TD passes vs. KC to Diggs, Gabe and Knox were all throws only a few QB's even think about making, they all had completion probabilities in the mid-high 20% probability.
  12. I suspect later this season you will have the same comment about all-pro voters. Bills have the top DVOA ranking despite just having played probably the only comparable offense in the league, but they will get slighted in the all-pro voting.
  13. Knox caught the game winner yesterday, Tommy Sweeney crushed some folks on outside runs, not seeing a role for Ertz.
  14. Lest we forget our Bass-o-Matic had another perfect day, 3x3 XP plus a FG. Their kicker missed a FG, normally in his range, that might have changed the game, and gave us a shorter field for the Allen to Diggs TD.
  15. How is it not OPI when Kelce pushes the DB in the chest?
  16. Milano looking for his j*ck on that play
  17. Benford active, probably with a club for a hand.
  18. Plus Gilliam gives you the H back option if needed.
  19. Kumerow is listed as OUT. Taiwan has only practiced once this week. Should we be concerned re: special teams, with that much experience not playing? The way I read it, Kumerow, Phillips, T. Jones, Knox, and Benford will be inactive. Phillips and Knox are obviously the biggest losses.
  20. Fivethirtyeight has the Bills at Chiefs as 50-50 pickem, with 99% in quality and importance. Certainly the game of the year to this point.
  21. Possession and two feet down doesn't matter unless he was OOB or down by contact. They were still running and the play was still in progress, and Gabe always had a hand on the ball. Once they cross the goal line, possession would have to be clear for either player to have a catch. Gabe ended the play with both hands on the ball in the endzone, and neither player was down by contact. -dtb-
  22. Are the Chiefs guilty of looking ahead past this game? Unusual for them to miss so many 3rd down conversions.
  23. Jacobs scored standing up against the middle of the Chiefs defense
  24. Depending on the outcome, that play might bump Josh to Gabe's 98 yarder out of pass play of the week.
