  1. Last year we lost to Jacksonville, so nothing is for certain. Game is also Christmas Eve, so hopefully players aren't distracted with family stuff/inlaws etc. If Miami game is flexed to Sunday night, will also be facing a short prep/recovery week.
  2. How will this #2 be paid for? Josh's huge contract kicks into high gear next year, we have to either pay or replace Edmunds, Von's cap hit goes up $13MM. We can hope we get lucky drafting between 25 and 32 with a wide out, but that's about it. We have Davis at a draft discount for next year, but then he will make at least the $10MM that Bobby Trees is making.
  3. Yikes. Was Siemian hurt and aggravated something?
  4. And the Lions were on a 3 game win streak, playing at home, and their consistent finishing in the cellar means they are now accumulating some talent. St. Brown is a top 5 wide out, Ragnow is a top center, Sewell is a coveted tackle, Hutchinson is emerging as a talented pass rusher. Bills were missing Rosseau, Hyde, Edmunds, Morse, 4 of 22 starters. lose Von & Dion during the game, and had Tre White on a pitch count. Close the high windows.
  5. Jefferson is a top three receiver in the league, St. Brown is emerging as a top receiver, Cooper is an established vet who has played a long time. I also think they probably wouldn't have been as explosive if we had a fully healthy Tre, which could be a ways off is history is any indication.
  6. People forget another Bills backup, who went on to win his ring as the OC for the Eagles, I could see Peterman becoming a QB coach then OC after his career is over.
  7. Out of 11 games played, our defensive starters have missed 35 games [Tre - 10, Hyde - 9, Poyer - 4, Oliver - 3, Edmunds - 3, Rousseau - 3, Elam - 2, Cookie -1] average of 3.2 per week - only Tre was out week 1. That's 29% of your starters out every week.
  8. Without some of the antitrust exemptions doubtful a small market like Buffalo would ever have a team.
  9. Seattle to Munich they go over Arctic Canada and Greenland, 8 hour flight, 4600 nautical miles. LAX to Munich is 5200 nautical miles. Munich to London is just under 600 air miles. There was a Roger Goodell interview last night and he said all 32 teams will be playing international games. With Mexico City in the mix, suspect that's where a lot of the West Coast Teams will play international games.
  10. That's correct, Gilman thought he could sneak him through, think he had a broken finger, Saban claimed him and he only played the last four games of the 1962 season.
  11. I was unfortunately in a skybox at Adelphia Coliseum and watched the whole thing unfold before my very eyes, Bills Fan since 1960, and with my son who has been a Bills fan his entire life.
  12. That crosser to Gabe was also a bit of redemption for #13, as he had some hands of stone on a couple of earlier throws. That being said we gave up 3 TD's and only scored two ourselves. Glad that Bass-o-Matic was having a career day.
  13. Browns are supposed to have one of the elite O-Lines in the league. That being said, we controlled Chubb, and despite missing 4 defensive starters, including our #1 and #3 corners, our MLB, , we still had a 3 score lead until giving up a couple of TD's in desperation time for the Browns.
  14. Kemp was very active in the community, probably with an eye to his later political career, he spoke at MANY HS awards banquets, Elks, Kiwanis, Rotary. He was also probably the master of the quarterback sneak in that era. He often would get those tough yards for a first down or TD behind Billy Shaw.
  15. I am truly amazed that NY didn't buzz down and say that Cousins got hit in the head on the sack.
  16. Pass rushers getting tackled and no call
  17. 3rd and 2, run the ball, if we get stuffed take the FG
  18. Knox play is the kinda stiff we should be mixing in.
  19. The over is looking pretty good right now.
  20. I noticed that we have a bunch of starters [including BOTH of our Right Tackles] on the injury report. Is this a change in training methods, or just the law of averages catching up to the Bills, who have been "relatively" healthy the past two seasons. Just wondering? Allen, Edmunds, Poyer, Rousseau, Brown, Elam, Jackson, Milano, Quessenberry all DNP or Limited and not on Vet Rest
  21. Hines top speed, if he is still as fast as the combine or college, is about 22.5 mph, just below Tyreek's 23.24. Hines apparently has reached 23.8 mph on a treadmill, but that's not in pads. Hoping he has good hands, Josh once again has a receiver who can run under the long ball.
  22. I am a bit concerned that the Jest's biggest strength, their D-line is matched up with our pedestrian O-line. Quessenberry will have to rise to the occasion. Josh may have to have his Houdini act in high gear. Diggs will be a good test for Sauce, but the Jets have three solid corners, and Davis & McKenzie will have tough matchups all day. Hopefully our O-line can get enough of a push to get Motor to the Jet's backers who are the weak link in their D. Their Offense is to put it kindly mediocre. Hopefully Phillips will atone for his stinker against GB. No Poyer leaves us exposed to the deep ball, if Z. Wilson has time, and G. Wilson and Elam should engage in the first of what is likely to be many encounters over the next few years. Hoping that Milano is well enough to be effective, he's our heat-seeking missile out there. I suspect the Jets will cover, and we can't afford to be looking ahead to Minny next week.
