A fascinating player in the draft is Oronde Gadsden II. He's 6-5 225, but runs a 4.5. Obviously has good bloodlines and was coached in HS by Patrick Surtain. We need a John Brown type. If you have a 4.3 guy who can take the top off a defense and has reasonable ball skills, then Diggs, Shakir, Kincaid all become more effective. Diggs is 30, an age when most wide receivers start to decline or have to deal with Injuries - see Keenan Allen, Mike Evans, Amari Cooper, and of late Tyreek Hill.

I would keep Diggs, Shakir is here, and on a cheap contract. I don't think we are going to be drafting high enough to get one of the "elite" WR's. Beyond that we need 3 journeymen, given our cap issues. Hoping Kincaid continues his growth, as he gives Josh a bit of a cheat code.

Re: Reid having 6 losses. - I think this is exactly what the league is trying to do. They would be thrilled if 20 teams still had playoff hopes in week 18. with 2 weeks to go they have 23 teams still alive for playoff berths, the "best" team has 3 losses, only 9 teams have 9 or more wins through week 16. With the salary cap; the draft which rewards the worst teams; and now the unbalanced schedule, having all these teams in the mix, means sellouts in December and higher TV ratings.

Chargers were a short week, long road trip. Pats will be extra day, "normal" 1 PM game routine, last RS home game, and Pats on their second straight road game. Think our guys will be very focused. Knock on wood, weather looks passable for a 12/31 game in the OP.
