  1. Apparently they have a grass field below the artificial surface and that's what they play their type of football [we call it soccer] on. There is a retractable deck below the artificial turf which probably explains why it feels so hard, since it's probably some sort of steel framed deck. From what I understand, soccer teams don't like American football to be played on their grass pitches, as it tears up the field and takes time to recover. Wonder what today's teams would think about some of the field conditions Bills used to play on in the Rockpile.
  2. If Kincaid [concussion] is unable to play on Sunday night, do we see three wide [from among Sherfield, Harty and Shakir] and trust Brown [who is currently the #2 graded Bills lineman behind Dawkins] to anchor the right side.
  3. Chiefs have to hope that Kelce isn't dealing with a nagging ding all season, and that Pacheco stays healthy. Though I saw Mahomes get dinged up in his last game. Their O-line is not playing as well as they have in the past. Their other wide-outs don't make me lose sleep.
  4. Ray Ray and Feliciano could wind up with a ring in SF this year.
  5. I was in High School when Kemp was playing, he was a wizard at the sneak. Billy Shaw blocking on those sneaks is one of the reasons Shaw's in Canton.
  6. Anybody notice that the Chiefs used [an injured] Kelce as a deep safety on the Hail Mary at the end of their game. Whatever it takes....
  7. Non stop flight Buffalo to LAX is ~5:30, 3 hour time change. Non stop flight Buffalo to London Heathrow is ~6:50 5 hour time change. West to East for a 1:00 game has always been a problem for the west coast teams, London games are close to the same deal. Would it make more sense to start the London games at 6:00 PM London time, which would be 1:00 PM East Coast time.
  8. And we stopped Tua from getting the ball out quickly, but no Benford, Tre, Cookie, and Daquan deprives us of several of our top defenders.
  9. Jamie Erdahl just saying that Gabe Davis is Josh's QB Whisperer, relies on him for feedback.
  10. I would seem to me that Reggie Gilliam would be the logical helper on a push play. He's 5 inches shorter than Josh and weighs more. Wonder if the Refrigerator play is still legal. What if we lined Torrence up as eligible in the backfield.
  11. Diggs actually has a higher run block grade than Gabe Davis. Davis is grading out as the worst run blocker of the regulars.
  12. Those schemes are getting new wrinkles, that 40 yard dump play to Cook was never seen in the Daboll years.
  13. Can't overlook the Eagles that would be a statement win before the bye.
  14. Our pass rush has 13 sacks and a multitude of hurries in the last two games, I think McD will be glad to have Von, but think he may be very deliberate using him after Tre's injury. In our next 7 games, Jax is .500, TB is 3-1, everyone else we play is 1-3. I would be thrilled is Von played a few series starting in a couple of weeks, but he is needed for the Philly, KC, Dallas games in weeks 12, 14, 15.
  15. Battles to watch: Jags have 3 solid corners; Dawkins and Jax's Josh Allen should be fun to watch; McGovern will have his hands full. Benford and Poyer will have to play well. Lawrence will be a totally different challenge than any of the QB's we have faced so far, although we practice against our Josh Allen every day, who is of similar size and arm talent.
  16. GMFB just gave the week 4 scepter to Dawson Knox for his angry run
  17. Our run defense leaves a bit to be desired. 49r's D is nasty. In a close game CMC scares me a bit and they have him in the passing game along with Samuel, Aiyuk, & Kittle, so double teams are limited. Bosa vs. Spencer Brown is an enormous mismatch.
  18. Eisen/Warner/Ehrdahl should be a pretty good team. Looking forward to waking up to football.
  19. Epenesa's length gives smaller quarterbacks fits. He had the pick six vs. the Commanders and had a deflection last night.
  20. Interesting stat - through 4 games, Bills are averaging 15 more offensive snaps p/gm than their opponents. Bills O has 273 snaps, D has only played 213. One would think that's gotta wear out the opposing defense.
  21. Aside from the nearly identical score, remember this game: The Buffalo Bills handed the New England Patriots an embarrassing 47-17 wild-card loss on Saturday night, and in the process they made NFL history. They became the first team ever to have a perfect offensive performance. They scored touchdowns on every single one of their possessions (except the kneel downs at the end of the game). They didn't face a single fourth down in the entire game, so they had no punts or field goals. They also held onto the ball when they had it, turning the ball over zero times.
  22. Only team that scares me after yesterday is the 49r's. McCaffrey is unique, Aiyuk, Samuel, Kittle along with CMc may be better than the Cinci group. QB is a game manager, but doesn't seem to make mistakes, Defense is nasty, Best front four in the league.
  23. The early TD to Gabe was a thing of beauty, [or a complete screwup by the fish defense].
  24. After that "Beast Mode" exhibition yesterday, don't forget about Knox.
  25. With Torrence's size, I suspect he will win a lot in the trenches on short yardage.
