Kansas City at Buffalo in the Divisional Round!
BearNorth replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
With Rapp out do we use Elam, Lewis, or Hamlin when we go to the dime? Elam has actually played more snaps than Lewis. -
Frazier has worked for John Harbaugh, Lovie Smith, and Andy Reid, as well as McD. I doubt he will land a HC gig, but depending on where the Head Coaching searches end up, he could easily slip into a DC or Asst Head Coach role with someone in those coaching trees. Daboll needs a DC, wonder if he would be interested in Frazier.

Well, having to deal with Kelce and Pacheco/Edwards-Helaire will certainly be a litmus test as to whether he has what it takes.
-
Harty and Sherfield already made miraculous plays, so keep that karma coming.
-
What is your gut telling you right now?
BearNorth replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
Klein and D. Williams have to come to play, they are key to stopping Kelce, the running game, and the underhand passes. I am concerned that we probably have to waste 1 of our 2 callups on a punter. -
With how depleted we are at LB, can Von play some there? We have Rousseau, Floyd, AJE, and Shaq at Edge, so we are deeper there than at LB.
-
If Gabe can't go, are we better off keeping Shakir in the slot and using Harty/Sherfield as the #2 WR, or do we go 12 personnel with Knox and Kincaid, and use Shakir as the #2 wideout. Chris Jones has to be game planned for, and likely we will have to help Spencer and Torrence.

I do worry if we use our "fast" D lineman to contain Mahomes, that Pacheco and Edwards-Helaire will shred us, Chiefs have a great interior OL, probably the best in the league. I can see a lot of Mahomes shovel passing to the backs and Kelce to slow down whatever pass rush we throw at him. Our LB's and secondary are beat up. Wouldn't Daquan/ Linval pushing the pocket be a good strategy?

Apparently his oldest daughter took over when he was in rehab and suspended for his DUI. She has been repping the team at the owners meetings for most of the past decade. He has three daughters who are all vice chairs of the Colts.

Street FA Linebackers Cory Littleton Jayon Brown Tanner Vallejo Cupboard pretty empty.

Salary Cap is $225 Million, people covered, active; IR, practice squad, dead cap. About 80 signed people covered by the cap. If you want to increase roster sizes, suspect the players association will want $225/80 = roughly $3MM for every extra spot on either and active roster or PS. Chump change to the billionaire owners.

Isabella active, I feel the need for speed.
-
Gabe Davis- Do you want him back and for how much $
BearNorth replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall
We need a #2 who can take the top off of defenses, Diggs is our #1, #2 should be a speed merchant, slot should be a great possession receiver with great awareness of field positions and the line to gain. -
Will McD get out of Nickel base early enough to win?
BearNorth replied to Kingston Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
That being said, with Douglas likely on the DL for this game, do we play Taron and Benford as the two corners in our 4-3 base? -
Will Sherfield be better in the #2 role than Davis???
BearNorth replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Davis can't go, does Kincaid become a Big #2 and Knox the TE. Josh seems to have a lot of confidence in both. -
A 4th down throw into the EZ is not a suitable substitute for a punt
BearNorth replied to AKC's topic in The Stadium Wall
Some of these DB's have incentives for every INT and FF in their contract, their instincts tell them to catch the ball and take it away from the other side, and some forget it was 4th down. -
Summarizing: Douglas ---> Dane Davis ---> Sherfield/Harty or more 2-TE sets for blocking Rapp ---> Hamlin [?will we have to use 6 db's against Pitt? - 21st ranked passing attack] Dodson ---> Dorian or Spector or AJK Dawkins ---> Van Demark Still should be serviceable against the Steelers 25th ranked offense. Wouldn't want to play KC without some of these guys.

We are Scheduled to play ALL four of these teams in the OP this year. We only have 8 home games, so Brazil is still on the table - hope not - Buffalo to Sao Paulo is 5,000 air miles, 1.5 times the distance to London - 10 hour flight.
-
While there are a lot of actors involved, including the punter, having an average starting position after a punt at the 19, means a lot of long fields for your opponents. Bills defense only gave up 8 TD's in 5 games - that will win a lot of games.

The pass to Johnson at the end of the first half...
BearNorth replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
Can the booth review missed penalties in the last two minutes? In college, targeting can be buzzed down from the booth. -
I think Carroll is still under an NCAA sanction relating to Reggie Bush that would have to be resolved.
-
Realistically they should drop the fullback and add a 3rd WR, less than half the teams in the league carry a fullback. Also only about half the teams run a 3-4 yet they have a nose tackle, even though nearly every team has a slot corner.

Steelers @ Bills. Monday, January 15th at 4:30pm.
BearNorth replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah but their backup edge defenders appear to be decent [not Watt level], This game will be decided in the trenches; our OL needs to protect Josh and open holes for Cook, Josh, & Lenny; and our DL needs to shut down the Steeler running game, and get some pressure on Rudolph. The injury list for the Bills is obviously concerning with the four guys with names starting with "D" dinged up. -

I notice that former Bill Levi Wallace is their #2 Boundary CB. Wonder if he has improved since he left the 716. -
And that one loss was in OT, and we had scored but the D gave up a TD to the Eagles. i think Davis was open in the end zone but not where Josh expected him to be [sound familiar] or they would have had a walk-off TD.
