  1. PFF has 40 year old Jason Peters ranked 4th among tackles, I think he used to play for the Bills? Our two tackles are Dawkins ranked 45 of 79 and Brown ranked 56th of 79.
  2. What really sucks is that we shut Henry down on 17 of his 20 rushing attempts. He gained 35 yards on those 17 attempts.
  3. If you eliminate punters, who would hold on FG's and EP's? Could the regular center snap on FG's and EP's? With the ubiquity of shotgun, most Centers are proficient at a 7 yard snap, but is it fast and accurate enough for FG's and EP's. Taiwan Jones who is our "core" special teamer has played 108 snaps this year in 6 games. Reggie Gilliam has more at 136.
  4. On the 76 yard run, he was hit once from the side, by a DB engaged/[?held?] by a blocker. On the 3 yard run Obada whiffed at the 2. [Should he even be playing pff grade is 36.8] On the 13 yard run it was blocked well on the LOS and Hyde tried to tackle from the side after Henry was rolling and was laughably ineffective. No way to stop this guy unless you are squared to him, and prepared to be punished.
  5. I agree, however the average net in the league is 41, so a flip of 40 would be probably be more accurate than 35. Suspect this would lead to more long FG attempts as well, which are more exciting than penalties on kick returns.
  6. Belichick [Cleveland native] told Sports Illustrated that Brown ran a 4.5 40 in pads from a 3 point, [not moving] stance in 1958. Brown was also a great receiver out of the backfield on swings and screens. Cleveland was the Buffalo TV team for the NFL.
  7. Cookie was 6-2 at least 250, never played college ball. Saw him run for 243 yards [5 TD's] in the Rockpile in 1963 on muddy field with puddles. Cookie was also the placekicker at times, and played two ways in Canada. He was bigger than most of the D-Lineman of that era. Jim Brown was a gifted multi-sport athlete, Football, basketball, lacrosse, track & field. Played hoops, lax and ran track at 'cuse. Finished 5th in the 1955 AAU decathlon. Actually had to change the rules in Lacrosse because of him, when he pinned the ball to his chest, impossible to get it away from him.
  8. Being a stats guy, the game essentially came down to two plays, both by Henry. The 76 yard run was a bad Bills defensive set that the Titans exploited. Henry does this a couple of times every year. The 13 yard TD, was just a "I'm gonna do this and you can't stop me". Take those out and the Titans gained 273 yards from scrimmage. Josh's Int and the resulting short field was IMHO a product of our putrid O-Line play. Then there's our total lack of a running game. If you look at the rushing leaders in the NFL, which you need if you hope to control the clock with a lead, they are all [Henry, Chubb, Elliott, Mixon, Taylor] much bigger than Moss and Motor. We need a back that can pound the rock. We had two scores wiped by inopportune penalties. Daboll had a couple creative red zone plays, the Knox pass to Allen, and the Knox TD run that was wiped out by a holding call, but we need more creativity. Our OL and RB's are not dominant in the red zone, yet we have a stable of pass catchers that routinely get open. Why a supposed offensive genius like Daboll cant come up with a decent screen pass option in the red zone is beyond me.
  9. Titans running out of DB's. Put Henry in on Defense?
  10. Steve Levy is a SUNY Oswego grad. Used to be a stringer at Bills games for a LI Radio station when he was in college.
  11. Why don't they just give the defense team the option of taking the ball 50 yards from the line of scrimmage on 4th down. Punts are almost unwatchable these days.
  12. Re: Brown tho, everything I've read says he is on a pitch count, and won't be full go until around week 10. He and Jones do present matchup problems for our smallish DB's wonder if we will see a bit more of Neal in this game, as he's our biggest DB.
  13. Cowboys secondary is playing like hot garbage.
  14. Frazier and McD are nothing if not disciplined. Our front 7 play that way.
  15. Same solid defense that our Bills hung a 43 burger on.
  16. You forgot Nick Saban & Bill O'Brien.
  17. Latavius Murray being helped off. Leveon Bell time.
  18. Yes, and it wasn't close: Josh Allen: 37 Josh Rosen: 29 Sam Darnold: 28 Baker Mayfield: 25 Lamar Jackson: 13
  19. And the Bills get them back to back after the Bye
  20. Haack is quite a bit more expensive than Bojo. Bojo 1.02MM, Haack 1.575MM cap hit.
  21. Knowing McDermott's attention to detail, wondering if his place kick holding was why Bojo is now with his third team. Sure's he not happy about the game-changing punt block against the Steelers, but Bojo's holding adventures aren't new.
  22. The Jets sacked Tannehill 7 times two weeks ago. in the other 4 games Titans have given up 13 sacks. Jets got a lead and blitzed on 21 of 56 dropbacks. 5 of the sacks were on Third down.
