  1. Philly and Dallas are legit teams and if the 49ers can get their defense healthy they are going to be a factor. The Vikings and Giants are paper tigers, the NFC South is a joke and the rest of the conference is pretty mediocre. Beyond the Bills and Chiefs you have a dam good Ravens team that could easily be 8-0 or at least have 6-7 wins but still sit at 5-3. You have a Titans team that has not lost since week two that is a legit team and you have some other tough teams out there like the Bengals, Browns (who will be getting a upgrade at QB) and Chargers. There is also still the Dolphins who sit at 5-3 and are formidable.
  2. One thing I like about MSG and Barclays in NYC is that there is no parking lot or huge parking garage. People take the train or a combo of the bus or train to the games. Not to veer too far off topic but I wish more stadiums/arenas would have easy public transportation.
  3. Pass rushers also age fairly well, they play at a high level into their early 30's. Top pass rushers barring serious injury don't typically fall off until around age 32-34 and even then they don't completely fall off a cliff. So if you have a Jags Josh Allen, Bradley Chubb or Burns who are 24-26 years old they have a lot of prime years left. A rebuild in the NFL takes 3 or so seasons so a coach coming in with a 24-26 year old pass rusher is going to have a 27-29 year old still producing at a prime level with some more years left in the tank. Now if a pass rusher is 29-31 years old then a rebuilding team is going to want some draft capital to bring in players that will assist in a rebuild 2-3 years from now. So I just don't see these players getting traded.
  4. If that were the case then wouldn't he just file retirement papers? I wouldn't hold it against him if he just called it a career, he had a really good career all things considered. He has played in 9 playoff games including a Super Bowl with the Panthers (Williams played in 4 playoff games with the Panthers and 5 with the Bills). As you said he made 22 million in his career and was a second team All-Pro in 2017 so there certainly was some nice individual achievements too. But if he just wants to ride off into the sunset why then not just formally retire? That's what puzzles me about it. If he is interested in playing why isn't he signed to a team he can probably start for at least 12-16 NFL teams and would be the best or among the best backups on any O-line in the league? My personal theory is that he would be interested in playing but only for the right price and while teams may want to sign him maybe no one wants to match his price?
  5. I am genuinely perplexed as to why Daryl Williams is not in the league. O-line play in the league is horrid and D.Williams was excellent in 2020 and when he kicked inside to guard in 2021 he was at least a starting caliber player or better. Is his heart just not in the game or did he suffer an unknown injury or was his salary demands just way too much? If I were McBeane (and thankfully I am not) I would see if Kromer likes either Flowers or Williams as depth? Other than that I don't see any other O-line options out on the free agency market. Via trade it is even harder but I have to think if something fits they will try to add a piece even if it is just suring up depth
  6. Going for a Pats* win. The division needs to be won before anything else and the more space the Bills can build in the division the better. We all expect the Jets to cool off eventually (esp with their recent injuries) but until they do they are the biggest threat in the division.
  7. Hughes has cooled off since registering 4 sacks in 3 games. In the Texans past 4 games Hughes has zero sacks. Not saying Hughes wouldn't make a nice rotational player for any playoff team but he isn't a major difference maker either.
  8. I would easily give up a 1st for Jags Josh Allen, even as just a two year "rental" it would put the Bills as one of the best D-lines in the NFL in 2023 and cement the Bills 2022 D-line as being the best by an even wider margin. That being said Jags Josh is a 7.23 million dollar cap hit. I know there is ways to massage the cap but the Bills currently sit at 1.6 million in cap space. Jags Josh even if the salary is prorated to slightly less than half sits at about 3 million. KC isn't much better as they sit at 2.3 million in cap space so a trade for Jags Josh isn't much easier for them to pull off. I just don't see it happening given the Bills have other more pressing areas of need on the roster (guard) that they will be more active in and the cap math doesn't work out. The Chiefs are similar to the Bills in that they don't have much cap space. KC's cap space is 2.9 million The Bills is 1.6 million. Jags Josh has a cap hit of 7.32 million. I can't see either team being able to massage the cap enough to pull it off. If I was KC I would offer a 1st in 2023 and a 2nd in 2024 but I just don't see the cap working out esp after the Chiefs sunk in 750k on Toney. Unless a resident TBD cap expert can comment as to how the Bills or Chiefs can massage the cap to make it happen?
  9. I am down M. Brown, Mike Williams and now Chase. Every other position I am good on. I have three good RB’s in Jacobs, Mixon and Stevenson, Dallas defense, Bass as my kicker, Kittle at TE and Dak/Geno Smith at QB. Never had a WR corps be so decimated in 10+ years of playing fantasy.
  10. Their most important player is Burrow but their best player is Chase. Burrow is a very good QB Top 10 in my opinion but Chase is one of the best WR’s in the game top 5 in my opinion.
  11. Ravens are an odd experiment in team building. They draft positions like Center, safety, tight end and linebacker high up consistently while not drafting at need. They end up with a lot of talent and got fortunate they got Lamar at the end of round one. But they also lack talent at some critical positions too. I like the philosophy that it is better to draft a center or safety up high and end up with an elite player at tier two or three position than to draft a riskier player at a more premium position. But at some point you have to stack the deck at critical positions or else you end up being flawed.
  12. Any given Sunday, if the Bills come out flat and the Packers come out sharpe things can get interesting. That being said I do think the Bills are favored for a reason but I take no win for granted.
  13. The NFL would never allow collective community ownership of a team again. Green Bay’s existence is a unique grandfathered in exception.
  14. A huge blow to my fantasy team which is already down two WR’s. I hope this is “just” a 4 week injury. I hate to see great players miss time.
  15. I don’t think the Bills are going to respond with a move just because the Eagles did. The Bills are good to great at every point on the roster except offensive guard and even there they are decent. The Bills are all in on their chase for a Super Bowl this year and although given their limited cap space the Bills will have a hard time making moves if there is a move that can improve the roster I don’t see why they wouldn’t attempt to make it.
  16. Quinn is a year older but it isn’t like he is coming off a massive injury. It’s a nice deal for the Eagles who didn’t give up much to add at worst a decent player to a very good defense
  17. They should attempt to have more practices in the off-season. I get that players have wear and tear on their bodies but the decline in quality of play needs to be addressed by the league in some capacity. Even if it is just the addition of some workouts and film study getting players together more in the off-season will only help.
  18. Last season this team had an under achieving Star, Vernon Butler who stunk outright and Harrison Phillips who was solid and Ed Oliver who has flashed here and there but been at least a solid starter. This year they replace Star, Butler and H Phillips with D Jones, Settle and J Phillips. That’s a massive upgrade of overall talent at a critical defensive position group. Those additions along with Von and Shaq have turned a Dline that was above average to an elite unit arguably the best in the NFL.
  19. The real issue is that teams aren’t looking to trade away cheap good offensive linemen. Oline players play well into their early 30’s so if you have a 24 year old stud guard on the last year of a rookie deal that player will still be around for any possible rebuild even if a team gets set back 3 years that player will be only 27/28 when that team is ready to compete and that player will be playing at a high level for 4+ years. Now if you have an older guard on a big money deal a team will be willing to sell.
  20. Injuries are the worst part of the NFL. I never like to see teams Star players get hurt. That’s a huge loss for the Jets who have been overachieving this season.
  21. Carr has Adam’s one of top WR’s in the game and Jacobs a beast at running back along with Renfrow one of the better slot WR’s in the league and he still is what he is a good but not great QB.
  22. The Eagles are the only team out of the NFC that I think can compete with the Bills. 49ers simply don't have the QB talent and are really really getting hit hard with the injury bug. They are talented but with Jimmy G at QB it limits your offense.
  23. I love NFL football but this season has been filled with a lot of bad football. Some good non-Bills football too but a lot of mediocre to bad football being played right now.
  24. The Eagles are likely the best team out of the NFC. 49ers are probably number two but they are massively banged up.
