It’s also the context of the game leads you to think that if you have a defense playing lights out take the points. You aren’t struggling on offense and down 2-3 scores. Sometimes you should take a chance to spark the team but when you control the game chip away with points here and there

Fun to try and get them to get Offside and no risk. Take points as your defense is killing it

You want that “three score lead” let the defense “tee off” so to speak and allow the offense to grind the clocks

You can live with a FG on a drive that started at the 3 even against a better offense

Hope Diggs is OK, from my amateur eye it looks like he may have jammed his wrist. He was moving It a lot so hopefully that’s a sign It’s nothing serious

Frustrating that they can’t get Elam out there for whatever reason. Elam is by far the most athletic corner on the roster. Dane and Benford are very Levi Wallace esq

I also think last season the first time Davis was asked to be a true WR2 and I think he needed an adjustment to that role.

He is a very pivotal player, Diggs always gives you good play but the issue was the WR’s and Te’s outside of Diggs are the pivot point of the offense and Davis is the key to that unit along with the TE’s

Decent first drive Josh making a lot of plays on third down. Good to get some points on the opening drive TD of course would have been better but you just want to get something early

With Rodgers the Jets were a good enough team to warrant a decent prime time slate. Six is a bit over the top but they certainly were one of the top storylines in the league going into the season. They boasted a top 5 defense, solid supporting offensive talent (including Hall and Wilson both dynamic young players) and a QB who was recently an MVP.

That’s what’s frustrating for me is that Elam played well at times last season, so the question is are the Bills other corners just playing better and It’s not that Elam can’t play effectively or has Elam regressed in some way? I know the Bills do not dress him larger because he is not a ST player and Dane and Benford start over him but I hope as the season goes on they find a way to utilize their most athletic corner who also showed flashes of good play his rookie year. Long term would they consider moving him to safety? Not sure he would translate there.

Josh has always had that level of patience when the supporting cast let’s him. 90% of the time when Josh gets sloppy and turnover prone is when he has to force the offense to get in gear due to lackluster supporting cast play. I am hoping that with better offensive line play (Torrence and McGovern are way better than what was at guard last season and hopefully Brown is a better version of himself) and the additions of Kincaid, Harty and Sheffield to the receiving core allow Josh to feel less like he has to force things.
