  1. I wouldn't hate a short term deal but at 32 and one year removed from a serious injury in 2020 I would be cautious. But then again Buffalo is in win now mode so brining in vets to put the team "over the top" might be the right move.
  2. When a team is winning the organization saves money by doing less and less for STH because the winning product is what draws STH. When the organization is losing and Season Tickets go down they pull out all the stops to stop the bleeding. Not having a draft party is stupid and just being penny wise and dollar foolish. Even from a pure dollars and cents perspective why not put on the best face while you are asking for hundreds of millions for a new stadium.
  3. A below average punter but a fantastic kick holder. I don't think they spend draft capital on a punter although I could be wrong. I think they will live with his punting (which regressed last year, maybe they expect some positive regression as in Miami he was average to above average at punting) since he is such a good holder.
  4. A very good observation. Although I wouldn't be shocked to see the Bills having some interest in Cooper generally speaking. I think they "leave no stone unturned" when it comes to the WR market.
  5. Cooper has been a boom or bust receiver his whole career, a good but not great player. If he came reasonably cheap 6 to 8 million) on a one year deal I would love it. Move Diggs to the slot and have Davis and Cooper on the outside. But I wouldn’t like to see the Bills break the bank on him either.
  6. I would like it as a one year prove it Deal for Shaq. Shaq is a good early down edge setter. If they can sign him I would like it.
  7. I thought you could designate someone a June 1st cut earlier in the off-season?
  8. If they can bring him back on a 4-5 million dollar deal I think that works good for both side. June 1st cut Star to make the space. I would rather have H.Phillips an in his prime player who is coming off a fairly good season than Star who is a veteran who while decent is massively overpaid. Just my two cents. Also rumors are just rumors from McDouchebag2k22 not really worth much.
  9. I don't think he will be there at pick 25. I think the Chargers or Ravens will use him to bolster their run defense and hope that his tremendous physical profile can be formed into a better pass rusher at the pro level. If he is the Bills pick at pick 25 I won't hate it. The Bills could use more bulk up the middle, I just don't think he will be there at pick 25.
  10. I wouldn’t trade up for him but if the Bills wanted to cut Star and draft him at pick 25 I wouldn’t hate it either.
  11. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him on the Giants to be honest. But I think they likely will wait till Cole is cut. I just don’t see this ending in a trade but stranger things have happened.
  12. It’s hard to consistently win shoot outs in the NFL however I would argue that if the Bills can bring back Phillips, Hughes and Levi and add some depth in the 2nd/3rd/4th round the defense should still be at worst decent.
  13. If the Bills want to switch to a 2 TE offense primarily then I think Gronk makes more sense. But if they want Gronk as more of a role player then that really is too much money to spend on a role player in my opinion.
  14. I wouldn't hate it but that 7-9 million number is a lot to pay for a TE2. I would rather target a cheaper option like Kyle Rudolph or a draft prospect in the mid rounds than spend money that could be better off spent on the O-line so Josh isn't running for his life.
  15. I would rather kick the tires on Rudolph if he were to come on a "team friendly deal" than pay retail for Gronk who may or may not accept a backup role. Gronk is likely not coming for less than 5-7 million which for a TE2 is a vast overpay. Whereas Rudolph for less than 2 million in my opinion is more willing to take that backup role and can still produce.
  16. The talent difference between the late 1st round and the early 2nd round isn’t that different according to many scouts. If the Bills can trade back between picks 30-40 they should still be able to get a good talent. Hopefully a rush on QB’s happens around their pick and they can get a nice return on a move back.
  17. For the post season a 10 minute or 15 minute OT period makes more sense. For the regular season it is just fine.
  18. I like him as a cheap TE2 if he comes cheap. A solid vet who can contribute in a more limited role.
  19. I do agree that it might be best to "stack the offense" generally speaking. However, if this team is going to invest majorly into the defense a pass rusher to disrupt other QB's I think a pass rush really is the best way to play defense in the modern NFL and the Bills do lack a dynamic pass rusher. I wouldn't mind a Hunter trade personally but if the Bills want to stack up the offense that might make more sense.
  20. If he takes a pay cut that lowers his cap hit 2ish million I could see them keeping Mongo but at his current price he is a cap casualty. On another note, Will Hernandez (who has struggled since a solid rookie season) would be an intriguing depth option. I wouldn’t mind the Bills tossing a low ball one year deal for him to add some depth and competition to the Oline. He has a great physical profile and played well his rookie year. But it just hasn’t clicked since. Hopefully a change of scenery works for him.
  21. From 2017 to 2019 he played every game, he opted out of 2020 due to covid and then got hurt in 2021 only playing about 6 games. Not that tragic of an injury history in terms of missed games. If the Vikings want to trade him for pick 57 and a 5th in 2023 I would be all for it. The Bills would have their elite edge setting DE at a good price and would still have pick 25 to make an impact elsewhere on the roster or trade down.
  22. To me the defense lacks a truly dynamic pass rusher and a run stuffer. I look at the secondary and with Tre in there I think they are very good esp if they retain Levi who has been a solid and consistent cog. They have one of the best most dynamic safety tandems in the league, Tre a true number one corner, one of the most underrated slot corners in the league in T.Johnson, Levi a solid CB2, and Dane Jackson really nice depth. I would like to see them sure up the depth but I feel that can be addressed in round 3-5 as opposed to a high end pick. The LB core is also good. Milano is a true stud and while I know Edumonds gets a lot of hate around here fairly or unfairly I do think he is a solid MLB who fits the mold of the defense. Klein is also solid depth there and can fill in for either. The D-line on the other hand is good but not dynamic. The Bills generated 42 sacks tied for 11th in the league with the Bengals. That's pretty effective but not exactly elite either as the Bills did shoot up the rankings thanks to 9 sacks against the hapless Jets had they only had 2-3 sacks (a respectable number) against the Jets they would have been around 18-19 in the league not tragic but fairly average. Ed Oliver is very good but not a "dynamic" player just yet and the rest of the defensive line is mostly a mishmash of average to above average players. I think the "dynamic" player is going to have to come from within. I don't see (and wouldn't prefer) the Bills to go after a big time pass rusher in free agency as I want the O-line addressed and Levi/H.Phillips resigned and signing that type of pass rusher will impact the ability to do both. Overall the D-line can get a run stuffer which will help along with resigning Phillips. But they need a dynamic edge rusher and for that they have to count on the development of Groot, AJ and Boogie.
  23. I don't see this team getting all these guys but I do like the idea of Corbett, Barrios and Mack on a minimum kick the tires deal. It's a nice list but I don't see Ogbah as realistic and I also don't see Fitz as realistic either as I think he gets top dollar backup money and this team will try again to go with a reclamation project at backup QB similar to Mitch. Hell if Mitch doesn't see a situation he likes I can see him taking another year in Buffalo to keep rehabbing his value.
  24. I don't hate it but that punter is not lasting until the 7th round. BUT I love the Travis Jones pick and a corner high isn't a bad pick. However I would address the O-line higher up and unless there is significant WR investment in free agency or Beasley and Mac are retained I think it is better to go after the secondary in the mid-rounds.
