  1. Optimistically he has not had to respond to a situation where teams are “allowing” deeper shots. Usually teams cap the deep stuff and dare Josh to dink and dunk. This time the Jags trusted their pass rush and dared Josh to go deep. Dorsey will hopefully learn from this and take the deep shots when they are there
  2. I am not one to make excuses but this game was a funky London game and the first time a team played a London game against a team that played in London the week before. I think this “hot and cold” game was not unexpected The drought was awful, I wished the Bills during the drought could be a team like the McNabb Eagles even if it meant not winning a title. I still am enjoying winning football with hope over low expectations despair
  3. 2021 and 2022 the Bills were hit decently by injuries. 2019 and 2020 were lucky year injury wise (although the Bills WR core was destroyed by injury towards the end of 2020). I was hoping that this year the injury front would be a bit different but the it’s starting to look like last season but with more serious injuries sprinkled in.
  4. Poona Ford will get the call and I think he will do well. If the Bills can get Jones back at some point that will help but the Bills with Ford in place for Jones can be OK. Just have to hope along the edge Groot and Shaq come back.
  5. Glad they drafted Williams too, I suspect there may be some growing pains there but hopefully they get him rolling after a few games
  6. Allow me to inject some positivity. The season is not over even if Milano and Jones are out for the year (which is likely the case although not confirmed from my knowledge). The Bills have Poona Ford to backfil the loss of Jones. It will be a step down but the Bills unlike last season have a run defending DT on the roster. Dorian Williams can play for Milano and while there may be some growing pains he is a decent option and if he doesn’t play well they have the trade deadline where I am sure a decent LB can be had. As far as Tre they have Elam who I think is getting ***** on excessively for this game. Elam has never played in London and was asked to start against a good WR coming off 4 inactives was not going to end well. Elam will get better as he gets more experience and gets coached up by the best secondary coach in the league. The rest of the injuries don’t appear to be major. Groot and Benford will return and Von’s snap count will increase as well. There also is the trade deadline where the Bills can possibly add a piece if needed. The Bills sit at 3-2 after a tough five game stretch. They can survive the serious injuries and get right they have a nice stretch of games coming up where they can “get fat” and keep themselves in a good spot for the division
  7. I thought J Phillips was Ok he had a deflection and did some things. Poona Ford is going to be critical. Can he back fill for Jones enough? Also is there any update on Jones?
  8. No team has played in London against a team that played in London the previous week. The turf and injuries are issues that can happen on other NFL fields but the London thing is just awful
  9. It’s week 5 chill things change on a dime week to week
  10. The London thing was/is a legitimate thing to mention about this game. It has never happened (a team playing in London against a team playing back to back weeks in London) to any team before so it is a valid part of the analysis of this game. That being said fans overreacting to games is a huge part of team message boards. If it weren’t for the Jones/Milano injuries this game wouldn’t be a big deal in my opinion.
  11. Was hoping this was a dislocated knee where maybe in 6ish weeks they could get him back. Now we just have to hope this isn’t a career threatening injury. At best he simply fractured his leg which best case is a season ender or out until well into December. Hoping for the best or at least a less bad scenario
  12. I think you can see what Dorian Williams can do for the next few weeks before you make a move. He looked decent out there today. Get closer to the deadline and see what help you may need. What you have depth wise may be solid enough and your resources can be spent elsewhere
  13. McD coached him against no game tape and Elam had zero regular season snaps. I think he looks better next week for sure
  14. Milano and D Jones are killer injuries luckily Floyd and T Johnson returned avoiding complete catastrophe. Hopefully the Bills can get one of them back at some point. I think D Williams and Poona Ford can backfill decently
  15. You have to give the players a day or two at your facility to heal up and get their work in. Then fly out on Wednesday. You get two days at home with your facilities and your bed to rest in. Then on Wednesday you travel and that gives you three days before game day to adjust. That would make the most sense to me
  16. I also think you kind of have to give Elam a “break” on this game at least factoring in the circumstances to his performance. He was inactive the first four weeks and then gets thrusted into a starting role against a good WR in London a place he never played before. Oh and the opposition played in London the week before. It’s understandable he had a bad game. I trust McD to coach him up and allow him the time to work out the kinks. I suspect how he looks the next two weeks will be how he is going to be this season.
  17. As good as Gabe played he made a really bad error when the margin for error was small. Just frustrating as the penalties put the Bills behind so much and then they made a few errors and were depleted on defense due to injuries
  18. I just don’t understand the infatuation with Cook at times. Just a really frustrating game overall.
  19. Call me crazy but I think Elam gets going eventually. McD is one of if not the best secondary coaches in the league and Elam had some nice jams and plays out there mixed in with a lot of his bad play. I trust McD to coach him up. Keep this is in mind, Elam was completely inactive weeks 1-4 and then is thrusted into a starting role against a very good WR in Ridley. Oh and yeah play this game in London for the first time in your career against a team that not only plays there all the time but also played there last week. Just not ready to write him off for a bad game against a good opponent and in tough circumstances
  20. Bad drop for sure but the reason this game was lost was not because the WR 2/3 wasn’t going. Davis even before garbage time made a few plays as did Harty. It was lack for a power run game and some bad penalties that cost them the chance to get going early and in Q3
  21. I liked what I saw from Harty today. They used him less as a “gadget” player and more like a WR. It was a good way to get him some big plays. Hopefully they use him more like that going forward. I also for the third time this season liked the one catch that Shakir made. Shakir made a nice first down catch that made a big impact. Hopefully he gets more burn too.
  22. I wish the Bills could have just ran Harris and Murray a lot more from under center in the first half. Once the offense becomes one dimensional it leads to having to have Diggs and Davis going off consistently which is not easy to do. Still would have liked to have seen Josh attempt a Hail Mary
  23. Elam didn’t play well but I think it’s better he takes his lumps now so that by December he hopefully gets into form and is rolling. He had some nice plays like a good jam or two on Ridley. McD is one of the best secondary coaches in the league I am sure it will work out in the long run.
  24. Gabe missed one critical catch that cost the team a FG chance but he also came up with some plays. I liked what I saw from him. The issue in my mind is establishing a power running game from under center to be less reliant on Josh throwing the ball.
  25. I am sure there are suggestions but in the end you don’t know what works best for your team and your players until you have that experience a few times
