Can you tell us that one story you used to tell, you know the one where Sammy is on a parallel track with Julio Jones and that how any day/month/year now he's going to be just as good. We could use both those players. Hopefully they do tag Sammy, I would imagine they would have to get rid of at least one of those players.

Zay struggled to get separation. Benjamin is not a receiver that will get tremendous "separation", more of a guy that you throw anywhere high around his radius and he will outmuscle the defender which is precisely the sort of WR that does not mesh with TT because of his extreme aversion to risk and that he usually throws to receivers that are open. The anti anticipation QB. Deonte has got some speed but could use some more technique in separating. His speed alone will not get him great separation. And J Matthews is similar to Benjamin in that he is not a "separation" sort of receiver.

Lorax says more DE for him next year
Magox replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hughes will still be here because he is our best DE of a team of mediocre DE's. Lorax will be here because he provides invaluable leadership and his leadership will be even more important considering our team is set to get a whole lot younger this next coming season. -
Marcell Dareus: Going to Jaguars “changed my life”
Magox replied to SaviorPeterman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wish him the best. It was the best decision for both parties. -
It is paramount. We desperately not only need 2 more good DT's but we also need a top end Pass rusher on the other side of Hughes. If we could add another good pass rusher the defense dramatically improves.

Is McDermott or Beane running the show?
Magox replied to Over 29 years of fanhood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As of right now I would venture to guess that McD the coach has the most power, which is the case with most good organizations. McD trusts Beane who he hand picked because he knows that Beane understands that he will build a team in the vision of McD. This is the way it's done, how the successful teams do it. I'm glad that we finally have the structure to build a successful organization. Now it's a matter of successfully selecting quality talented players through the draft and FA. -
He's a true number one and if used properly with a good QB he could easily get 75 receptions at 15 ypc with 8-10 TD's. Thompson is a good enough to be the number with Zay as the 3 but I'd rather have another quality, speedy #2 to go along with Benjamin.

He's a big kid and I don't mean to say that in a disparaging manner. He was pretty stung by the trade and hopefully it serves as a wake up call for him. His problem has always been focus and his biggest enemy is free time. He needs to find a good woman that will set his ass straight and get him focused on life.

Would you give up multiple picks to move up to #2?
Magox replied to Klaista2k's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If their damn sure that they have their franchise QB then I say yes. Personally, if given the opportunity I'd rather trade one of this year's first and second for Cousins. -
This is the point that seems to either be lost or willfully ignored by the Whaley defenders, which was what I would consider to be the worst Bills FO decision probably in my life time. We drafted a guy that has been outworked and outdone by about 4 other WR's in his draft class, he was an athlete that never endeared himself to the fanbase, he was a "me" first kind of player and he never came close to living up to his draft status. And to make things worse as you noted we ended up trading a way a valuable #1 pick to move for him. What a horrible decision by Whaley. One that should go down in infamy as a decision that set this franchise back a few years.

Have we ever looked forward to an offseason as much?
Magox replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, I'm pretty stoked about this offseason. We have a front office that actually has a vision and the conviction to stick with their guns no matter how much whining comes from the fans and ownership that I believe is all-in supporting them giving them the latitude needed to make these tough decisions. The success that McD had and the risky trades that Beane made that panned out was huge for them. I'm excited to see what they do both in FA and in the draft. -
Bleacher Report Ranks 3 Bills DT's as Worst in The NFL
Magox replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I expect the Bills to add a significant DT through FA and to select one with one of their top 5 draft choices -
Whitewalker's Season in Review
Magox replied to WhitewalkerInPhilly's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We desperately need a good pass rusher on the other side of Hughes. A good pass rushing DE to go along with Hughes dramatically helps this defense out. We also need a couple good DT's, a couple good LB's. Definitely need another QB. Another Guard and Tackle. Another WR. More depth at DB More depth at RB. -
I do think we will see significant turnover again but not to this extreme. Somewhere closer to 25

Which WRs do the Bills keep - if any
Magox replied to Socal-805's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We keep all three and look for another speed guy to compete for the #2 -
Jalen Ramsey's Game Clinching "Interception"

Jalen Ramsey's Game Clinching "Interception"
Magox replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow! We got screwed again from Riveron. From that angle you'd have to be blind to not see that the ball separated from his hands for a split moment. The ball clearly bounced from the ground. -
I believe there is a way that Redskins could try to somehow retain Cousins with the intent to trade him. If that is indeed the case, then I personally would be willing to give up one of this years first and 2nd rounders for him.

2018 Veteran QBs - the Mega Poll
Magox replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My first choice would be Cousins. I think he takes this offense to a whole new level we haven't seen since the first half of the year that Bledsoe joined. The offense just gets a lot better with him on the field. My second choice would be to go after Alex Smith. The offense without doubt gets better but you have to draft a QB to develop behind him still. My third choice is Keenum, but I don't believe Minnesota lets him walk unless he struggles mightily this week. Bridgewater is my 4th choice, he's intriguing. Could end up being really good or just meh. But he'd be my fourth choice. Fifth choice is to keep Peterman and draft a QB high to compete with him. Sixth choice is retain Tyrod and draft a QB high to compete in a 3 way competition. -
Lets just go for Kirk Cousins in the offseason
Magox replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just imagine if we had Kirk Cousins for this past game, we easily win. Look at what he has done over the past 3 years or for that matter this year which arguably was his most impressive year yet considering the lack of talent they had on offense and their offensive line being absolutely decimated. He's not a top 5 guy but he's in that 7-12 range and for me that is definitely good enough. Benjamin easily becomes a 1000 yard receiver and our ground game gets better. -
It was Dennison's fault because they should have just ran it. It was Tyrod's fault because he should have just called the handoff. It was Kelvin's fault because he shouldn't have pushed off. Plenty of blame to go around. And if you look at how the play would have developed the Jag defense didn't get any penetration and it would have most likely have been a touchdown if he had handed it off to Shady. Sad
