  1. Just another guy to this point in his career. Needs to improve a lot to justify #19 overall. There's still time but the start isn't encouraging.
  2. Many of those Whaley "mistakes" are starting for other teams right now. But hey, at least they got a couple of subway tokens for them.
  3. Besides that they couldn't open a hole to gain a yard, they did great.
  4. He's probably on the phone crying to his agent right now.
  5. Probably one of the DL after the Saints got through with him.
  6. Clay, Benjamin, Matthews, plus Shady. That's a decent group that should be doing better than 3 points until garbage time.
  7. Actually, the talent on offense isn't that bad. They should be playing a lot better on that side of the ball.
  8. He must be texting his agent to get him the f*** out of here asap. If they aren't looking to make changes when they look worse and worse every week and are coming off a historic a$$ whipping at home, then something is wrong and they won't be in the playoff hunt for much longer.
  9. Looks grim. No Cordy. Ducasse and Mills still starting. Can't run wide zone with weak tackles and can't hold up inside in pass protection with Ducasse at guard. They need the inside running game to work badly or I see Tyrod running for his life a lot.
  10. Maybe if they storm the field or something. Otherwise it might be rough.
  11. My guess is that: a) the collisions in college football are much less violent than in the NFL; and b) people want the NFL to go down for other reasons (big greedy business, unpopular owners, player personal conduct, national anthem protests, etc.) The NFL has been trying to expand the popularity overseas for some time and is still trying, but the game hasn't really caught on. So while you may get a few foreign players, it won't be like hockey, baseball or basketball where there is a massive influx to bolster flagging domestic talent, IMO.
  12. This stat is obviously flawed. If you really want to compare the two QBs then you need to look at the number of games that each trailed or has been tied in the fourth quarter not how many starts they have each had, if this information is even available. As has been pointed out GB is trailing much less often than the Bill late in games so the opportunities to lead a comeback per start will be less.
  13. Yeah. That damn liberal media trying to emasculate America.
  14. Me too. That's how I know. I actually waived him this week.
  15. He has stunk.
  16. I don't think it will destroy professional football because people like violence, even when it maims other people. Just look at combat sports. But I do think it will dramatically affect the popularity as fewer and fewer kids participate in the sport.
  17. Could probably get him for a song after the season now. Why not?
  18. I wish. If there was an easy fix it would have been fixed a long time ago. People WANT to hear this stuff. That’s why the media feeds it to them. The first step to improving the situation is for everyone to stop blaming someone else for the problem and look to themselves. But my observation has been that very few people want the divisions to end. They just want “their side” to win.
  19. The decline of the running game is from a change in offensive philosophy and an error in thinking, IMO. Last year's offense was designed to run vs all fronts. There was a lot of variety in run blocking schemes and running concepts, extra OL formations, lots of available runners. This year, there is more emphasis on having variety in the passing game. This should help late in games when trailing. The emphasis on "returning to what worked" to fix the running game is a mistake, IMO. Last year's offense is gone. They don't have the variety of running game concepts or the practice running them and they aren't going to install them mid season, even if Dennison and his staff understood and believed in them the way the previous one did. They need to try and pass to open things up, like this offense is designed to do, or they will continue to struggle. With Benjamin, their receivers are perfectly capable and Tyrod is having a good season. Give them a chance.
  20. A little over the top, but by all accounts Flutie was a very divisive figure in the locker room and anything but a team first guy. So I don't really see him as the innocent victim that he's sometimes portrayed as.
  21. I'm glad I'm not the only one who hasn't conveniently forgotten this. The worst special teams in the history of the NFL. Last in all four major categories: kick and punt coverage as well as kick and punt returns. His refusal to accept Wilson's direction to fire him shows that Phillips was more concerned with loyalty to his friend and and control over his staff than in winning. Good for him I guess...
  22. That era is gone. Politics are so pervasive and acrimonious now that they are in practically every single facet of American life. There is no refuge any more.
  23. Welcome to the modern USA.
  24. But if he found a video of a republican saying racist things then it would be evidence that all republicans are racist. QED.
  25. Lol. This is actually kind of funny. Kudos.
