  1. I still think that the system is fundamentally flawed in that it puts the officiating front and center as the most important aspect in deciding close games. It’s set up so that the refs re-review every important call: scoring plays, turnovers, plays inside 2 minutes, plus any other big play that a coach challenges. You typically have a big play, followed by a lengthy review killing all game momentum, and then frequently concluded by a controversial decision that is hard to understand. That’s not what fans want to see at the key moments of a game. No one pays to watch the refs stare into a camera and explain archane passages from the rule book.
  2. If Andy Dalton is the standard, then they might as well just keep Taylor. He’s probably just as good overall.
  3. good luck with that. Tyrod threads rehashing the same points over and over are a weekly staple. This week is no different.
  4. They played Bradham and Brown as the only two LBs a lot if I remember correctly. Alonso was hurt all year and Spikes only played on rushing downs.
  5. I’m not usually a big donor, but I figure: what the hell.
  6. The Ravens win 9 games and the fans are ready to string up the coaching staff and run the team out of town. The Bills win 9 games and a ticker tape parade is planned. That’s life in the NFL I guess.
  7. They are good. They really need a better nickel option though. The third CB is practically a starter these days.
  8. There is no reason to get rid of him until you have someone better. So unless they pick up a big time FA, he will be here next season while draft picks develop. IMO.
  9. Lol. The worm has turned.
  10. Man I love all these threads calling out the “Tyrod haters” and “Process/McDermott haters” ? You’d think the Bills just won the Super Bowl. Some people at TBD are so desperate for vindication that they’ll grasp at anything.
  11. Agree. Need to move up and take a risk on someone. If they want to win a Super a bowl that is.
  12. Seemed like Miami ran it pretty well. I think Gase wanted a long look at the QB so they didn’t run it as often as they would have given their success.
  13. Jacksonville will try to run it right down their throats. If St Doug has his way then Bortkes won’t even throw 10 passes.
  14. I wonder if Marcel Dareus will be fired up? Dennison had better have a plan in place for him.
  15. Man these Tyrod threads are interminable. Every week there’s a new 20+ page thread on the exact same topic.
  16. No. Just saying that they need Shady to have a realistic chance.
  17. They should get rid of all automatic replays. Make the opposition challenge to get the replay.
  18. The NFL rules are crap. In every other sport, the refs step back at crunch time to let the players decide the game. But not in the NFL. There they review every TD, every turnover and every play inside on 2 minutes. Basically, making the refs central figures in virtually every critical play of the game. It’s crazy.
  19. It was more late game non-sense by the refs.
  20. Lol. “Off with his head!”
  21. That’s good, because without a Shady the Jags have the advantage at every other position except maybe kicker,
  22. It looked like Poyer was still trying to rip the ball out after the play had ended. I don’t think contact with Landry’s helmet was intentional. Landry reacted with class as usual.
  23. This team certainly has more mental toughness than any Bills team in a while. That’s a big reason why they squeezed into the post season. They come back after some things go against them, even late in games.
  24. Flutie is the most overrated QB in Bills history. He had one good season with the team, and 1999 (the season leading up to the Tennessee game) wasn’t it. Yet people cry over him getting benched like he was Jim Kelly in his prime. Crazy.
  25. The Titans are going to have trouble vs Jacksonville but the Chargers and Ravens should both win vs the Raiders and Bengals respectively. I'd say the odds are against the Bills making it, even if they should pull of a tough road win. However, you never know though.
