  1. Given the teams reactions, taking it up a notch, I seriously doubt that the numbers will change.
  2. I know two close friends who cancelled their Sunday Ticket package today. Given how unpopular the protests are with the general public (72% opposed according to poll by Reuters a week ago), I think you are probably right that this will seriously hurt the NFL.
  3. Yup. The internet is a great place. It really brings out the best in people.
  4. Wow. When do they fit him for his gold jacket?
  5. Very good win, IMO. But the key to turning the corner is, and always has been, beating a good team on the road. Once they do that then I think you can say that they have a legitimate playoff contender.
  6. What will 2018 be like when K Williams retires, the Bills dump Dareus and they have a rookie QB starting? Better?
  7. I'm not sure why. Regardless of character issues they are both mediocre players at best. Henderson was getting roasted any 2nd and 3rd stringers in the preseason and he was one of the worst starting tackles in the league before his illness flared up. Powell is a marginal special teams player and not a viable WR. A dime a dozen type. Maybe it's because the Bills are SOOO weak at their two positions, but stil...
  8. This is the key statement. In a west coast style offense, Siemian is better that Tyrod. By quite a bit. The question really is: why are they determined to run this style of offense with Tyrod at QB? The obvious answer is that they see this as the offense of their future, which Tyrod will not be part of. So this is a plan to build towards 2 or 3 years down the road at the expense of this season, IMO.
  9. Not sure. But unless the team is miraculously in playoff contention there would be no reason not to do it. The players they need to dump are not all pros or anything.
  10. They Bills will clean house week 9, as required to get the pick. Take it to the bank.
  11. Today I read that a professional golfer was penalized 12 strokes for having tiny stickers attached to his club to measure his club speed, angle, etc. during a round. He accepted the (absurd) penalty without complaint and complimented the rules officials for doing their jobs. Meanwhile in the NFL, players beat women, do drugs and cheat during games. When penalties are imposed they appeal to the Supreme Court if necessary to get them reduced or eliminated, and if the commissioner gets in the way or causes trouble, the Owners push to get him replaced.
  12. It's silly to rail for or against paying for news. It's a business decision on both sides. If you think having access to their coverage is worth $3 per month then you pay. If not, you don't. Complaining either way is really worse than a waste of time since it creates unnecessary acrimony.
  13. I agree regarding Donald- renegotiate with him. Peters was trickier because the Bills had already renegotiated his contract once and he wanted to do it again a year later.
  14. Mabin was another guy that they were talking up only to dump him in short order. Hopefully they get him in the PS, unless of course they were making it up about him and he really sucks.
  15. After reviewing the play, i think he was down by contact. When Wood tackled him, his knee was still on the ground.
  16. I think Dawkins has already been working exclusively at LT for a while.
  17. A summary of fan reactions on Taylor that I've seen today: 1) He was great. If not for his inept teammates, especially Clay, the Bills would have had 40 points. He is totally underrated. 2) He sucked. If not for the great play of his teammates the Bills would have lost. This team is all Shady and the defense. 3) He was average, which is a huge relief after a terrible preseason. 4) He was average, which is huge let down after all the talk of unleashing a new, modern offense.
  18. The team looked prepared and won so I think they were solid. They didn't need anything spectacular and didn't try to out think themselves. They will need a little more creativity in all, phases next week though.
  19. There's nothing more important at this stage than building a winning culture and attitude. Tanking does the exact opposite.
  20. Maybe we can start a thread bashing Darby next for getting hurt.
  21. And the league MVP at quarterback, who was also one of their most dangerous runners. That was a one man offense and the Bills can't do that. They will need more balance, but if you don't have the guys who are you supposed to feature?
  22. The answer is obvious isn't it? WRs are all rookies and "JAGs". Clay is supposed to be an elite pass catching TE and a Shady is Shady. The question would be more legitimate if Watkins was still on the team.
  23. I would say McDermott has the bigger advantage, because he knows both the offensive and defensive schemes as well as the personnel. Rivera only knows the defensive scheme but doesn't have the same intimate knowledge of Dennisons offense or the Bills players.
  24. Why is it the obsession of Tyrod backers to try and make everyone else share their view?
  25. Lol. Precisely.
