  1. Says "Practice Squad" under you name...fitting. Bad info in it and also the AAF is as much of a threat to the NFL as Canada is to invading and taking over the US.
  2. You missed the parentheses where I said Brate as in Cameron Brate of the Bucs. He is rumored to be available via trade and could be a cap cut given they have OJ Howard already. I would love to bring in Brate.
  3. Man, this is going to be a very clogged up message board if we have a thread about ever cap casualty cut across the NFL this year. Not very interested. There are better TE's available in FA (and via trade like maybe Brate), and even better ones in the draft. Just like Terrence Williams...there are better players available via FA, Trade, and Draft. So not very interested in him either.
  4. Interesting, Pats won anyway, but still glad OBJ isn’t there. Wonder if they try again this offseason? Sounds like he was almost a Patriot but Giants got cold feet late in the process. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2821365-odell-beckham-jr-trade-rumors-patriots-aggressively-tried-to-deal-for-star-wr
  5. He could have easily declined though, still wrote it to make a Bills fan happy So still love this
  6. Dont get me wrong, I like Brown a lot. But for me, he was certainly a potential first round guy, but he was no lock for the first round IMO. To be fair I don't see any WR as a "lock" for the first round right now given how deep and closely graded the class is. With the combine coming up, there are at least 7 WRs who all have a chance to make first round cases, and then its going to be team by team preference. Plus WR's are one of those groups where the draft order never goes as expected. Lots of times there are "first round" guys who see several other less talked about WRs go ahead of them as they fall to 2nd and 3rd round. Its going to happen this year too, and given Browns size, he was one I thought had that kind of slip potential given the crowded WR group. I think the closest 2 guys to being a lock for the first round are Metcalf and Harry...yet even they both need to show strong at the combine for that to be true.
  7. This statement tells me you don't spend much time on youtube, twitter, or reading this board Thanks for the love and right back you
  8. I doubt his draft stock changes much, mainly because I had him as a likely 2nd round pick, possible 3rd round pick anyway due to his size and the deep WR talent pool in first 3 rounds of the draft. I would expect he will still go in 2nd or 3rd round, although any hopes of him making a first round case are now gone because he really needed to do that at the combine.
  9. Josh had 290 total yards passing and rushing. Now factor in that he had multiple good throws negated by dumb penalties and also had multiple great passes dropped. He could have had a much bigger passing game if his teammates didn't let him down many times that game. Kid is a gamer and couldn't be more excited about him! The only thing that makes me mad is that I have to wait until August to see him in some game action again
  10. Where are you getting your info from? Fans love to convict people in the court of public opinion on surface info then criticize others opinions based on same surface info. The truth always lies somewhere in the middle. Big Ben is no model citizen, so to just assume AB is the problem seems to be a stretch since he hasn't been a known problem prior to this. Sometimes relationships just deteriorate and its never one sided, both sides play into it. People wanting to put all of it on AB without having any of the real facts seems like a premature social media reaction. I do not expect us to trade for AB, not really Beanes thing as he has repeatedly said and also shown his preferred path is through the draft. So in a WR rich draft, I think its unlikely Beane makes a major trade for any WR over 30 for that reason. But, I also think its silly to now label AB as having no value and treating him like a locker room killer just because he wants out of Pitt. And to be honest, I put this on Tomlin more than anyone. He doesn't seem to have control over his locker room, and its not just with AB. He is an overrated coach IMO who is underachieving with a Super Bowl caliber roster.
  11. I agree. I have been saying this a while, I do not think Beane intends on making 10 selections in the draft. This is a rich draft from bottom half of the first through the 3rd. I fully expect him to use some of that draft capital to maneuver around the first 3 rounds for players he covets. I very much think a trade down is quite possible, and still think Washington is most likely. And in that case with at least 11 picks in hand (possibly 12), I think its very likely we trade up at some point over the first 3 rounds for a guy they covet...and I think they could trade up twice too if they complete a trade down from #9. So I expect Beane to be very busy and active though this whole draft
  12. Yeah, the kid handled the situation perfectly. Ignored it and stayed quiet to avoid it being a distraction and then let his play on the field answer instead. Again ignored it over rest of season to avoid distractions. Now with season behind him and having needed the season so strong, he had some fun with it and made a fans day with a playful jab back at Ramsey. Literally couldn't have handled it better IMO. This kid gets it.
  13. I voted Ravens, but its honestly close. Ravens will need their D to be strong again to keep games close because Lamar isnt going to put a ton of points up IMO unless he really takes a step forward as a passer. Broncos have to deal with both Chargers and Chiefs in their own division, but should field a better offense between the two with those RB's, Sanders and the young WR's, and Flacco as a veteran pocket QB. For now, I give the nod to Ravens just because they have an easier path to more wins, but I have a feeling these two teams will both be between 7 and 9 wins this year, so should be close.
  14. There are some factors about how we opened week 1 that people either forget or dont realize though. The plan going into the 3rd preseason game was for Allen to start week 1 and they have said this directly. After the first team struggled badly in that game, they decided they wanted to work with Allen a little more before starting. Again, they have publicly said all this too, not opinion. NP definitely outplayed AJ, although AJ had more respect around the league and trade value. They were not going to carry 3 QB's and unbelievably the Raiders were still willing to give the Bills a 5th round pick for AJ after being outplayed over the preseason, so of course they took it. Neither NP or AJ were the future, Allen was, so to get a pick for one was a no brainer. Once they moved AJ they had to focus all their time on both Allen and NP to get them ready to play. Bringing in a 3rd QB who needs reps and time with the coaches to learn the system takes time away from both young QB's. QB is the most difficult position of any team sport in the world to learn and play well. And when you have 2 young QB's they need as much of the time with the coaches as possible. So was not a surprise to me they didn't immediately bring in another vet right before the season started and waited until they were a little more into the season before making that decision. So for me, I think people way over exaggerate the situation at the start of the season. I mean why anyone cares about it is a bit puzzling to me, especially since they did bring in a mentor a handful of weeks later.
  15. Hahahaha Allen signed a photograph from the Jags game for a fan and wrote this on the pic!!! I love this kid! Now cue all the Debbie downers who will whine about this lol
  16. Beane has been here one draft. He has one tendency. That is BPA on his board. That is how he will draft.
  17. Thats almost my exact mock right now (albeit trade down with Was). First 3 picks are the same and would expect a RB picked at 74 or in the 4th. Carolina has a number of needs, including WR with funchess likely leaving. So not sure they are going to want to give up that 2nd rounder to get to #9 given there are going to be some good picks likely on the board for them still at 16. Also, doubt we need to include one of our 4ths either for this swap. I really wouldn’t want to send our 4th back in this deal and value wise we don’t need to.
  18. While AAF is better than I expected, I would remind everyone the level of competition is lower and not to get ahead of ourselves here on a couple guys having a good start to the season. Most these guys had shots, even multiple shots, in the NFL and couldn’t stick. That being said, I’m sure there will be a number of guys who get camp invites out of this. I think this league has a real shot to stick and will be a great place to try and earn NFL opportunities moving forward.
  19. I think we could pursue some of the following guys in FA along the OL: Donovan Smith, Trent Brown, Mitch Morse, Rodger Saffold, Matt Paradis, Daryl Williams. We already signed Long, who I think could compete to start, but also could be a good depth player. He was much better in Washington surrounded by more talent. Last year with the Jets, he had an injury on his snapping hand which greatly impacted his performance. But right now, I do think he could have a bounce back year now that hes healthy and if we have some better players around him than Jets had. But if can also sign someone like Morse/Paradis to start at C so Long can backup C and maybe even start at G, then it could be a very good signing for us. Then go add one of those tackles and we will have the makings of a much better line already. Be great if they also found a way to add Saffold too. That being said, I have no issues taking an OL in the draft either and think Bills may be eyeing someone like Risner who also seems to want to come to Buffalo. I do however think OL will be one area Beane is most active in with FA so he can get some veteran help to try and immediately stabilize the line for Josh.
  20. Jason Reid literally wrote the best summary I’ve seen, thanks for sharing and totally agree with you
  21. Well considering our FO has repeatedly said he’s part of their plans, I have no reason to doubt at this point he won’t be. So until I hear something different from Beane/McD, I’m moving forward assuming he will be part of the team until at least camp and they can start deeer evaluating how he is playing with the new OL additions. I do expect them to draft a RB in like 3rd or 4th round though, maybe someone explosive like Love or Henderson that can be a Kamara or Cohen type player.
  22. All good, and your opinion is not without merit. Just think is unfair to hang certain things on him that are not being hung on other players.
