  1. Gino- If it is worth anything, your brothers to the south will join you in taking up arms against the evil empire that we know as CBS 6 Albany!!! Strategic placement of a few catapults around Niskayuna with pitch fork armed infantry should do the trick. DISCLAIMER: Sorry, it has been a long day and I just read Jennifer Gish's article trashing Bills fans.... GO BILLS!
  2. NOBODY circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills AND THEIR LOYAL FANS!!!!! Great responses to this condesending hack of a journalist. Thanks Jennifer but I think I can "keep things real" just fine without your poorly worded essay and/or diatribe aimed at trashing fans like myself who are passionate about their team and the sport of football. Does this trash journalism sell papers....really!?!? With newspaper subscription volume continuing on a downward spiral, when will these idiots wake up. We used to subscribe to the Sunday Times Useless. After reading the aforementioned article, our subscription has been cancelled. On another note, I look forward to catching some games in Albany with the Bills Backers there. We have a large contingent of Bills fans in the greater Scotia-Glenville/Burnt Hills area that meet for games and look forward to connecting with fellow fans in Albany some time.
  3. Thanks Scott and all involved for putting on such a great party. The BBQ was fantastic! I am already looking forward to next year. Thanks also to Rande for the wonderful stromboli and to Hammer for hosting all of these festivities. Great way to begin the season and meet several new friends!
  4. YES AND YES!!!!!! Section 107, Row 3, Seat 17. BATAVIA PARTY ZONE!!!!!
  5. Their RT Nate Solder is a machine! Throwing Cameron Wake around like a ragdoll.
  6. Scott, Our group will bring chips, pretzels and some dips. We will be sure to include a few bags of Tostitos Hint of Pepper Jack. See you Sunday!
  7. Thanks Rande! Looking forward to our first TBD Tailgate! Can't wait to get back to The Ralph. GO BILLS!
  8. Poz also has the distinct pleasure to get to play for Jack Del Rio. There was an interesting quote from former Jag DE Hugh Douglas in this mornings newspaper, "if there was ever a coach who needs to be punched in the face for not being truthful to his players, it's Jack Del Rio."
  9. "It's the most wonderful timeeeeee of the year." Happy opening day everyone! Beer me. GO BILLS!
  10. What type of merchandise are you referring to? What about Sabres gear? I am seeing more and more Sabres fans popping up in this area. I also feel that there is still a sizeable contingent of Bills fans around. When the Bills start improving, I would certainly bring Bills merchandise back. The "fair weather" fans will come out of their holes and need to stock up on new Bills gear.
  11. Author's (and I use that term very loosely) preview missed many items aside from what PTR mentioned. What do you expect from what sounded like something written by a 12 year old. I cannot wait for Sunday!!! GO BILLS!!!
  12. Great story! I was in the Gulf at the same time on a ship. We were able to catch the entire game on Armed Forces Radio in the comm center. A bunch of Bills and Giants fans sitting around in the wee hours listening to the game. Oh the $&@% we took after the game. Great memories though! Remember Baghdad Betty as well as nightly calls from the "Filipino Monkey" on VHF marine channel 16.
  13. When I hear the word "Haiku", it reminds me of the Beavis and Butthead episode: Hippie Teacher: "Today we're going to explore the world of Haiku" Butthead: "We're going to explore the world of getting high? Cool!" Sorry, I digress..... Football on Sunday (5) Merriman Dareus swarm (7) Buffalo gets WIN (5) GO BILLS!!!
  14. These posts brought back many memories, especially of Two Guys. My mom used to take me shopping at the Two Guys in Schenectady. They had a little bowling alley in the store, so she would give me a few quarters to bowl while she went and shopped. Mom got to shop in peace and the kids were kept occupied. What a concept! P.S. Thanks for the VCR alert. Set my DVR last night and will watch today.
  15. I wish I was going! Lived in San Diego for four years while stationed there in the Navy. Lived minutes from the stadium near SDSU. Great place for games and the fans are very cool towards fans from opposing teams (with the exception of Raiders fans). While you are out there, check out a great little local restaurant in Mission Valley (stones throw from the stadium) called Bully's East. Great steaks and prime rib. I believe it used to be owned by Dan Fouts when I lived there in the early 90's. Nothing like So-Cal in December! Enjoy! GO BILLS
  16. Where do you think the "authentic jerseys" are made. In the very same factories that employ the 11 year olds you referenced in your quote. I have no problem ordering through DHGATE, especially when the mark-up on a real jersey is so significant. $350 for an authentic jersey that I may wear for 2 or 3 seasons. Get real. I support the team by purchasing tickets, paying for parking, buying beer, soda, food at the stadium. Get off your high horse!
  17. Win - win for both Lynch and the Bills. Great run by Lynch but then watching his sideline antics after (spiking the ball by their bench and acting like a kid playing Pop Warner Football who scored his first touchdown) and you realize that he is still an immature punk. I will take the 4th this year and 5th next year all day long!
  18. HONKKKKKK! Fireman Edwin is going to be putting out many fires when his team gets "smoked" at *NE next week. LT will not be running on the *PATS like he did at Indy....
  19. A Pittsburgh fan in front of us puked on another Pittsburgh fan. Her towel was put to good use covering the puke on the ground. What drove me nuts was some idiot Steelers fan two rows in front of use with a stupid sign, thinking he is either going to be on the jumbotron or on TV. Somebody grabbed it from him and the damn usher gave it back to him. Sign did not come out much after we tied the game however.
  20. The 3 million that NYS gives the Bills pales in comparison to the the amount of money that the state has lost to inmates within various county and state lockups that have been illegally collecting unemployment benefits. TENS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS to criminals currently serving sentences and collecting more $$$ on OUR dime. This story aired during the same newscast. Where is the outrage from these same politicians about this $&*@. I would also imagine that Tedisco and Amedore's counterparts in the NYS Assembly and Senate that represent Western NY would have very contrary opinions on this subject.
  21. The greater tragedy here is how many people witnessed this and did nothing to intervene. If I ever saw a Bills fan do this to a kid, I would be the first to jump in and use whatever force was necessary to subdue the individual and wait for police to arrive. This kind of stuff is why I would never bring my kids to a Jints or *Patsies game and am very reluctant to bring them to a Bills game until they are a little older.
  22. I agree. It is very hard to criticize the secondary when our front seven creates no pass rush. On another note, how about a safety blitz every once and a while....oh that's right, our LB's are terrible in coverage so scratch that idea.
  23. No to Alex Smith and No to taking an OT early in first round. Draft a QB or move down and stockpile some picks to address both O and D lines. Good free agent market next year for LB's as well.
