Every July, they have a fireworks show at a local park near my home and the amount of trash the next morning is astounding. What is really sad is that there are trash cans everywhere, yet you see garbage strewn on the ground and the cans are practically empty. My point is that this unfortunately happens everywhere. I have been to many games around the league and you see the same thing at other venues. At the Ralph, they could certainly use more garbage cans, but then again based upon my example above, would people actually use them. We also used to have a small fire after the game and burned much of the paper trash that was left around where we parked. With the lots closing at 6PM, no more fire.

The Fitzy experiment may have worked if we had a servicable o-line. We clearly do not. However, even when Fitz has time to throw, the ball gets away from him. He can put some serious velocity on the ball, but his accuracy is terrible. If the coaching staff feels that Brohm is the long term answer, it is time to get him snaps beginning after the bye week.

Good point. Nothing productive typically comes from players that post stuff on social networks. GM's and HC's should include this in their player codes of conduct. As to what was written, all I can say is that every dog has it's day and the Jests will get theirs. Their arrogance and cocky attitudes from the top on down, will in the end be their downfall.

Since Jimmy Spagnola "the Jets self proclaimed muscle man and resident goomba" is out of a job now that Trent has landed in Jax, maybe Tommy could hire him to beat up this Frenchy.

Thanks for posting up the link. Although I believe that Jim Mora could have been a little more tactful in his responses, it certainly sounds like Gottlieb did not prepare for this interview. Questions were ridiculous. I have heard better interviews given by communication students on college radio.

The keeper of the Batavia Party Zone sign informed me this morning that after a lengthy conversation this week with Chris Voigt (Director of Operations and Event Services), there will be NO SIGNS PERMITTED INSIDE OF THE STADIUM until further notice. He referred him to the stadium guide, which states the following, "banners and signs may not be affixed, hung, or held over the field level ring wall". End of story, no exceptions, no signs what so ever along the wall. My friend asked if there was anyone else he could speak with and Mr. Voigt stated that this decision rested with him and that there was no one else my friend could speak with. When pressed why they were implementing these changes this year, he implied that they trying to make for a more "family friendly" experience at Ralph Wilson Stadium. I ask all of you this, how do signs like "Batavia Party Zone", "Skid Row" and the like tarnish the atmosphere within the stadium? None of these signs are offensive or derogatory and based upon the huge response I received from my last blog, are a big part of the fan experience at the stadium. Many people watching on television specifically seek out the signs and they are also found on the Madden games. They provide "a unique brand" for our stadium and banning them is IMHO a poor decision on the part of stadium officials. If officials are truly concerned about the content of signs within the stadium, they could consider an annual review of each sign and the placement of a permanent seal or sticker that labels the banner as an "approved" sign for hanging within the stadium. Only signs that are approved would be allowed to be hung along the field level wall. However, my gut feeling on this is that they are paving the way to utilize the interior wall for marketing and advertising.

I saw Paul this morning for coffee and he has been contacted by someone from the Bills organization along with a sportswriter from the Buffalo News. He will be calling the guy from the Bills back on Monday as they have been playing phone tag. Hopefully they will come to their senses about the hanging of signs in the stadium. If they are concerned about their content, they can simply view them, put some sort of permanent seal that marks them as an approved sign by the Buffalo Bills and Ralph Wilson Stadium and allow them to be hung. Paul's "Batavia Party Zone" sign hangs in a spot that does not cover any of the graphics along the wall. When I hear back from Paul this week, I will post up the update.

Paul Bouchard is the keeper of the "Batavia Party Zone" sign and his step daughter Bailey and her friends along with her mom and Paul were sitting two rows in front of us and were what originally prompted my blog on this subject. A good friend of mine is a HUGE Raiders fan and has been so since the mid-seventies. After we signed Green he told me that in his opinion, Cornell Green was one of the worst O-lineman to have ever played for Oakland due to poor play and ridiculous penalties. I discounted what he said as maybe sourgrapes or something. However, I saw first hand yesterday what he was talking about. This guy needs to be riding the bench.

After attending yesterday's game, I was shocked with some of the new policies that have been implemented this season. The first was a "no standing" policy that is being interpreted incorrectly by stadium personnel (ushers and some security personnel). Several individuals in our section (107) were told that they could not stand for prolonged periods of time during the game. Certainly understandable in between plays, but a select few individuals complained to security when these people were standing during some offensive plays and most of the defensive plays on second and third down. Instead of stadium personnel correctly explaining to those individuals the proper policy, they told the fans that were standing that they needed to sit down. I overheard one sheriff say after, "how can they tell these guys to sit down when a majority of people in this place are standing...unbelievable." The second is closing the parking lots two hours after the game. We enjoy tailgating as much after the game as we do before. We are respectful of others and enjoy cooking out and relaxing before the long drive back to Albany. Transit Road is also free of traffic between 7 and 8PM, which is the time that we would typically leave in the past. We were all very surprised when we were told at 6:05PM that we needed to pack up and leave. While we were packing, security would come around literally every five minutes telling us to wrap it up. All I can say is Hammer's Lot here we come. Lastly, a very good friend of mine was told that he can no longer display the "Batavia Party Zone" banner that has been a fixture for as long as I can remember. In fact all banners have apparently been banished from the field walls at The Ralph. Can anyone on Two Bills Drive explain why this new policy is being implemented? Security officials stated that this was a new "NFL Rule" and that it was out of their hands. My friend plans to appeal to officials at the stadium, but it does not appear that they have any intention of allowing signs to be hung on the walls as before. Further, he recently spent money to have a new sign prepared and is absolutely crushed that he will no longer be able to display it. For me, the signs were always a big part of the game day experience and were a welcome "brand" for our stadium. The signs are even found on the Madden games which says something. I truly respect the opinions of many of you on The Stadium Wall and certainly welcome your input and also your support, especially regarding the signs in the stadium. Thank you. Flutie Flakes

I would love to see Levi continue to get more reps at QB. He is exciting to watch and his throwing velocity is extremely impressive. Great pocket presence and DOES NOT TELEGRAPH like Tredwards.

My mom was born and raised in Buffalo so there really was no choice as far as football teams were concerned. She was even offered a spot as a cheerleader for the Bills in 1960 but turned it down to go to college. Grew up in the Capital District and my earliest memory of being a Bills fan was wearing my Bills Jacket from Sears (with the fake leather sleeves) in the early 70's and my poster of OJ on my bedroom wall. Oh the abuse I took as the Giants and Jets were the perennial favorites in Upstate New York. The Bills were such a big part of my life growing up and some of my fondest memories were watching games with my dad who passed away a few years ago. Every time I see Jim Kelly, I still think of my dad yelling at the TV, "GO JIMBO, GOOOOO". Bills fans are an amazing bunch. Their passion for their team and the sport of football is second to none and I consider myself fortunate to be a part of it. Whether I am out with my Bills hat/shirt on or in my car (which has both a Bills and Sabres sticker on the rear window), I always run in to fellow fans no matter where I am at. I have also formed some of my strongest friendships with other Bills fans, one of which is a neighbor and arguably the most passionate Bills fan I have ever met. Going out to games is the highlight of the season for me and the tailgating before and after (we are usually one of the last vehicles to leave the parking lot) is amazing! When the Bills are away, we all meet up at a local watering hole to watch the games together on TV. I cannot imagine being a fan of any other team. I will be at the opener (section 107, row 4) and cannot wait for the season to begin! GO BILLS!!!!!

Relax. Bills will fill the LT position before training camp with a FA signing and WANG will start at RT. Cornell Green is a back-up at best. No way he starts. Only unknown is whether Wood will be back for the start of the season.

Was not keen on Shanahan handling both GM and coaching duties, so this news is fine with me. Focus should be on bringing in a quality GM and keeping Fewell as HC.
