  1. We must sign Freddie Jackson. He was one of the true bright spots of our team this season. He always gives 100%. Wish the camera stayed focused on the field versus the mo's sitting in front.
  2. C'mon Dean, sometimes leads from "sources" don't always pan out. He must have them because he drives a BMW that is worth more than many houses in Buffalo and his avatar has a picture of Scooby and the OC.
  3. I could not agree more. Penalties of the nature mentioned here are indicative of "individuals" that lack discipline. In the heat of the moment, they commit a foolish penalty that can in certain instances cost the team a game. The drop off in penalties was positive, however there were instances (the shoving match between NE players and Preston/Schouman most recently) that need to be remedied.
  4. I could not agree more!!! As for the prediction of 11-5 and after viewing our schedule for next year, your optimism is......optimistic?? Bar keep, i'll have what he's having! GO BILLS!!!
  5. Sullivan is spot on with this latest editorial! Previous poster also nailed it. Sullivan has praised Wilson, Jauron and company when it was appropriate but also speaks out when these guys err, which is putting it mildly in this case. I don't always agree with the guy but the alternative is writers like Chris Brown and the other official Bills "Toadies" who only give you the party line because they are on the payroll.
  6. This is going to be a killer schedule. The teams on the cusp that you listed (maybe with the exception of Jax), will throttle us next year if we play like we did in 2008. Interesting to see what we do in the offseason. If Ralph's latest moves regarding Jauron and the coaching staff are any indication, we will likely not be a major player in the free agent market. I hope I am wrong, but.....
  7. There is still time, go grab your gear....it is probably only a little blackened around the edges!
  8. Absolutely. What else is he going to say. As one of Ralph's "toadies", he is only going to state the party line.
  9. Wait and see what happens tomorrow. I don't always take what I hear from ESPN as gospel however. If this is true, we are royally f d and I would say that your 3-13 predicition is quite optimistic.
  10. Wow, never saw that one coming! Doubt that Cowher would consider going to Denver.
  11. Jauron being retained is really not a big surprise unfortunately. From what I have read, it sounds like Ralph's plan was to retain Jauron, but require a major shake-up in his coaching staff. The feeling was that Jauron would resist making these required moves and possibly quit. I am purely speculating here (because I do not have the inside sources like Scooby), but I see Schonert and many of his O-assistants gone tomorrow. They may even release Fewell but I doubt it. If the release of Schonert or other offensive assistants did not happen, I would be very surprised. Again, purely speculation but from past history, this seems to be how Ralph operates, especially in light of the fact that Jauron appeared to have renewed his coaching contract earlier in the season and if Wilson fires him at this point, he is on the hook to pay the guy.
  12. Supporting another AFC East team is out of the question for me, so Jests, Fish and Patsies are all out. I would probably go with the Giants as they have their summer camp in Albany and all of their games are televised. Downside is that tickets to their games are almost non-existent and cost big $$$$. Being a life-long Bills fan however, I pray that our team stays in Buffalo.
  13. Once Poz has a few years under his belt, I could see him stepping up and becoming a more vocal leader. However, other than Whitner, I do not see anyone else on our defense prepared to "light a fire" under their fellow teammates or spark any kind of intensity whatsoever. For that matter, the same goes for our offense. It would be refreshing to see a few players getting into the faces of other players. Unfortunately, we have a bunch of 9:00-5:00 players that do no more than what is asked of them by a lackluster "Casper Milktoast" of a coach. If you think about it, I really cannot blame the players entirely. If you had leaders that showed little or no intensity (positive or negative), why would you put your neck on the line and start calling out fellow players who may not have your back on the field in a gametime situation. It all starts with the coaching staff!
  14. I cleared snow out of the stadium once as a kid, so do I also qualify as a "source on the Bills payroll". Oh wait a minute, your source is part of the "inner circle"...Doris the cleaning lady AKA "Deepthroat". Stop smokin' doobies Skooby and quit speculating on what Ralph is going to do. All these conspiracy theories from "sources" are getting old.
  15. OK, now for the important question, do you think I can have all your Bills stuff since you were going to toss it out anyways?
  16. Are you kidding me. Lighten up Francis...Jonathan Smith is ancient history. I will continue to use a moniker that I feel describes him to a tee. If you are sensitive to that, I could give two . Regardless, this "Fast Freddie" is the real deal and he needs to be locked up long term.
  17. I will tip one back for Fast Freddie who not only had a special day, but IMHO, had a special year!!! He is arguably one of the best back-up RB's in the league and would be a starter on several teams. He and Lynch make an excellent one-two combination, each having their own unique style of running the ball. What I like most about Jackson is that he never gives up on a play and keeps his feet moving. This season on numerous plays, he would turn a negative or no yardage play into multiple yards. He is also a class act which may explain why our o-line seemed to play harder when he was running the ball. Way to go Freddie!
  18. DJ's laid back, non-emotional behavior leads to lapses of discipline with players. It passes down to the coordinators, assistant coaches and finally the players. Duke Preston's outburst at the end of the first half could not be a better example. Can you imagine being in Preston's shoes if he were to pull this kind of stunt with a HC like Parcells, Cowher, Gruden, or Coughlin to name a few.
  19. One of the few things I will tip my pint to today.... Next will be the announcement of Jauron's firing.....
  20. I agree Rande. I am fine watching this one from my recliner. Paul and Lisa left yesterday. Rumor has it that if Buffalo is down at the half, Paul plans to storm over to the other side of the field, park himself behind the Bills bench and give the coaching staff a "piece of his mind". Should be an interesting game to watch more from the fan response in the second half versus the play on field. Regardless, I still support my team and think there could be an upset in our future. That combined with Dick's ouster would make the season complete. GO BILLS!!!!
  21. Went to see the Giants play last year and to an Army/Navy game several years ago. Good tailgating (lots of beer and good grilling). No fires were allowed in the stadium lots although there were some fire pits in some of the private parking areas. It was fun but definitely not on par with tailgating at The Ralph. God I wish I was going to the Bills game this weekend! GO BILLS!
  22. I have never tried it but have heard that it is excellent. I have a turkey fryer but have only used it for steamed clams. I do want to give it a try for turkey at some point. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! Oh and.....GO BILLS!!!!
  23. This post is one of the funniest in a while! I better tie a double knot when I put my flag out this weekend..... GO BILLS!!!!
  24. Well yeah, it does. If the Bills fans in the CD through calls and e-mails could get our local station to switch the game, it could certainly happen there based upon a larger Bills fan base. Let the calls and e-mails begin..... GO BILLS!
