  1. Why are certain people making such a big deal about this. They perseverate about something over and over again. Wow, he said "appalled"....and meant to say something else. Who cares....move on. I thought his speech was well done and quite inspiring. Most of his comments, though he did refer to his papers on occasion, were off the cuff. Great job Ralph!
  2. One of the funniest parts of Bruce's speech last night was when he fessed up that he was the one that hid Thurm's helmet...I laughed my @$$ off!!
  3. Favorites: Kurt Warner, Joe Flacco Least Favorites: Miss Brady, Miss Pennington All-Time Favorite: Roger Staubach All-Time Least Favorite: John "Mr. Ed" Elway and one of the biggest cry babies of all-time...Dan Marino
  4. Great speech! Mr. Wilson is certainly a gentleman with a capital "G". He is an amazing man. I also cannot think of a better person to give his introduction than Boomer. From one Navy man to another, "fair winds and following seas" to a class act. Congratulations Mr. Wilson!
  5. Excellent report NOLE! Your observations are spot on. These are the types of posts that I really enjoy reading as I have yet to get out to camp. Thank you!
  6. I think we see Maybin signed sooner than later. I think that the Orakpo signing at 13 plays a big part of a deal getting done. Based upon Orakpo's numbers, I see Maybin signing a 5 year deal in the neighborhood of 25M with 16M in guaranteed $$. Would love to see this deal get worked out TODAY so that he is in camp tomorrow!!!!
  7. Great pictures Andy! Thanks very much for sharing. Can't wait to get out there with my boys. Let the season begin!!!!
  8. I Bring him in at minimum with performance incentives, and use him on situational downs. If something happens to Edwards, I like our chances with Vick who brings much more to the table as a pure athlete than Fitzpatrick or Hamdan.
  9. I have to say that I also have no compassion for those that abuse the bankruptcy system for their own personal gain. They play the system like a fine instrument...old sidearm included. As far as taking shots at low life parasites that don't want to work and want to ride on the backs of hardworking folks, fire away! I see it almost every day as I am leaving the office at 7 or 8 PM only to walk outside and see the "night of the living dead ritual" of boozers and druggies walking down the street in a haze to buy more beer after sitting outside on their stoops all day sunning themselves and living the life of riley while I work my @$$ off.
  10. Some of the replies on this post are priceless. Sounds like some posters are getting more than mary jane in their pipes..... "What a long strange trip it's been....."
  11. This guy was real exciting to watch when he played at FSU but can he stay healthy? Doubtful that he makes the roster but it will be great to see him at camp this summer!
  12. What a great video! Thank you for posting this as it brought back a lot of great memories. It is great watching Marino stomp off the field...I never liked him and I never will. This was also classic footage of Shula who looked like he was going to choke on his gum after the game. With a field general like Jim Kelly in charge, you just knew that they would find a way to win....GO BILLS!
  13. I agree 100%. Henderson reunited with Stroud on our D-Line would be fantastic. Rumor was that Jacksonville was looking for a third or fourth pick in return. Someone posted a video of Henderson from YouTube with a trainer slapping him during a pre-game routine. Would love to have some of that attitude on our D in Buffalo!
  14. If you knew about this guy in his days at WASU, this really is no surprise. He had a ton of baggage while in college but was a physical specimen and obviously played well. San Diego chose to overlook his "off-field" antics and personality flaws, which in retrospect was a huge mistake. However, it is still truly a sad situation to see a guy go from having everything to having nothing in a few short years.
  15. Shannon Sharpe...that course in ebonics that I took a while back sure comes in handy. He also speaks like he has a "c@%k" in his mouth. He needs to take a lesson from former Fox Sports announcer James Brown (who I think was one of the best in-studio people in the business). He would keep a bowl of lemons close by and chew on them before he went on the air to help with his speech articulation.
  16. My thoughts and prayers go to the Kemp family. You were great human being in so many ways and will always be remembered. You were also a gentleman with a capital "G". R.I.P Mr. Kemp.
  17. The owner, Walt Robb, is not only a shrewd businessman, he also is a firm believer that character counts. When he heard about this deal, he put the cabash on it immediately. Another reason was that Vick is on house arrest and would continue to be through most of their season. When all was said and done, he would have only been eligible to play in their last game, which is an away game. Deal made no sense on several levels.
  18. Good post Skoob. I only hope we move on it. Stroud AND Henderson...combined with drafting an end in the first round would be a huge step in improving our D-Line. Great video also! Kelsay would look good in teal....
  19. Moving up for a linebacker in the first round.....what are you thinking??? With Peters and Dockery gone, we now have to shift our focus back to the O Line. Not to mention our non-existent pass rush which should also be addressed as well as tight end. Way too many other needs pressing to even consider a move like this. I like Curry, BUT... Also agree with other posters that from a dollars and cents standpoint, 11 and 28 look pretty damn good!
  20. Oh really...what do you think is the REAL reason. I rarely purchase a newspaper for the reason that I cited and know many people that have cancelled their subscriptions as well because of sloppy and liberally biased reporters and editors. Less circulation = less advertising $$$ = less revenues = newspaper company out of business.
  21. Looks pretty legit to me but regardless of if it is real or not, seeing that name and number on a Bills jersey has got me pumped for the 2009 season. GO BILLS!!!
  22. Don't know what "Hooterville" is but I think it might be near Pominville.
  23. I think you summed things up very well. When I read the original article, I was ticked. I am so sick of a-holes in the media that pen articles without doing any research. It's no wonder that so many newspapers are going out of business. People are tired of reading bull$#it from idiots that are too lazy to put in work.
  24. With the 11th pick, Buffalo Bills select....Everrette Brown, FSU (Orakpo will be gone by 11). Pure pass rusher that will get after the QB is what our defense needs. If we pick up a FA end in the offseason, then I would be happy with Maualuga (move Poz outside or switch to 3-4) or Mays. GO BILLS!
  25. I can't see us taking a TE in the first round. At least one of the higher tier TE's will be there in the second/third rounds. A lot will depend on free agency and also the re-signing of Crowell. If the right defensive lineman for our system is there at 11, and we have not addressed this in FA, I say that would be the priority. Lack of pass rush was a far more glaring issue this year than any other area. It is obvious that Kelsay, Denney and company cannot get it done. Who knows what Schoebel will look like when he comes back. If Crowell is not re-signed, I would look at best available player between LB and DL. Maybin if he drops (doubtful) or Maualuga in first round and DL in second round.
