  1. One reason to look forward to a Monday!
  2. Jim Kelly scramble and dive into the end zone to win the game against the Dolphins. All time favorite play. What year was that?
  3. No TE at pick 9 or anywhere in the first. Stay at nine and get an impact player in the DL. I really think this is what the Bills do. There will be someone they like available there. After that I think all bets are off as to what Beane does. I know he will move around some. Get back an extra pick or two in the top 100 by using the later picks.
  4. This reaffirms my belief they will not take a TE at 9. Thank goodness.
  5. He played great against UGA. i like Riley Ridley in the 3rd-4th round. I think Ridley is going to be a good pro. As for a #1 wide receiver I am not really sure you need that anymore. The great offenses spread it around. Role players playing to their strengths is how NE has done it for years. Look at LA and KC, no stud WR there. I don’t think the Bills view WR the same as a lot of posters here do.
  6. He will get paid like one. Personally I would like to see the Bills sign Hughes to a 3 year deal and not exercise Shaq’s 5 th year option.
  7. Ronnie Harmon drop against Cleveland in 89 playoffs. Rumor was Harmon was into bookies big.
  8. I will say it in everyone of these threads that gets started. I will buy the OP a beer IF the Bills draft a TE at 9. No way is it happening. I don’t think the draft a TE before the third round UNLESS one of the ‘can’t miss guys’ slips into the second half of the second round. You guys wanting a TE early are going to be disappointed.
  9. Love the highlight reel. No doubt he can play and would most likely be a more impact player this year than a 3 round or later draft pick. I understand the Browns have Chubb and Hunt but teams carry 3-4 backs. Why trade Johnson? He isn’t making huge money. He can be a ‘third down’ back for them. Love for it to happen but makes little sense to me for the Browns to trade him. Which is probably why the Browns do it.
  10. No way the Bills take a RB in the first with the 9th pick. Holyfield in the third is also a stretch. I am a UGA fan and don’t see Holyfield going till the 4/5 round.
  11. This is kind of how I feel. I think Beane is a very good GM. I think Mc Dermott is a great DB and LB evaluator and a good D coach. IF McDermott can become as good at the Offensive side of the ball as the defensive side then everyone will be considered great.
  12. They might of taken him to dinner to pick his brain and get some insight into the situation. McDermott and his D staff know LB’s and DB’s . If they feel the kid is worth a late round or UDFA signing then I am all for it.
  13. How many times do you think GM’s use the line ‘hey, Brady was a sixth’ , when trying to use late round picks to move up?
  14. Does an offense need a deep threat to open up things for the underneath receiver Or is it the other way around? I am very glad to see this signing. In years past it felt we would know what the Bills need to do. Then the team would do something different and then the team would not be good. Just feels like everyone is on the same page finally. Number one area needing improvement was OL. Beane has addressed it big time. Beane will draft some more oline men but they can be guys who need to develop for a season. Spain signing is huge.
  15. Both he and his wife are great people. This is very sad. She has the right outlook and I hope nothing but the best for them.
  16. Nauta has a bad combine and didn’t improve much at his pro day. I still think the Kid is going to be a good pro. A 4th or 5th round pick on him will be a steal.
  17. Blank just said Julio will be a Falcon for life. Julio isn’t going anywhere.
  18. Love the Williams pick in the first. In this mock i would see the Bills grabbing Rock Ya-Sin in the second before the Falcons pick. Love to have those guys in a Bills uniform next year. Talk about an elite D in the making. Grab edge rusher and LB help in the mid rounds and wow. We could be looking at a defense like the Broncos and Seahawks when they won Super Bowls.
  19. Good buddy and mine have made it a tradition to go to every Bills vs Saints game. He is a huge Saints fan. Always get treated great in NO.
  20. That is interesting. He doesn’t specify they move up from 9. I could see them trading up to get back into the first.
  21. I really hope they do not take a TE in the first. TE is a position they needs time to develope. Get a project guy later. I think they go D first because McDermott will not miss on the pick with his talent evaluation. Beane will check the player out on the personality side with coaches teammates etc. I think McDermott will get better at understanding his O needs.
  22. I don’t see an early pick at RB. late round pick would be Elijah Holyfield out of UGA. Holyfield is intriguing to me. Rushed for over 1,000 yards for UGA. He was more of the heavy hitter back for UGA.
  23. I would not pick up Lawson's 5th year. I would sign Hughes to a solid deal. Hughes has not been hurt, and has very quietly turned into a leader on this team. Hughes has cut down on the emmotional outbursts. Love to see him here for at least another two years. In regards to Poyer i have to believe Beane relies on McDermotts evaluation on what he is worth. IF the Bills do not extend Poyer it would leave me to believe that McDermott believes he can replace Poyers production with a cheaper option. McDermott knows D backfield talent.
  24. Did you watch Hard Knocks? What about Dorsey makes you value his opinion? I will say he has a nice team there talent wise. Let’s see if he finally found them a coach.
  25. It was a phone call. Beane not doing it would make him look negligent. Bills had a glaring need at wide receiver. I do not fault Beane one bit for the inquiry.
