  1. I am a UGA fan and watch every game. Fromm had a great SEC championship. Other than that I can’t think of too many games where he impressed. I think we will see a more balanced even passing game from UGA this year with the OC change. Right now I am 50/50 on Fromm. I think Fromm could be seen as another Aaron Murray. He needs to put a lot more on film to move up to top 15 for me. As for Tua, I understand the hesitation and questions. Tua’s last couple of games were not very good. I still think he has all the talent.
  2. People know the end is coming for NE. Prisco is searching for the next teams bandwagon to jump on. NE fans and Boston fans have always been ‘look at us’ fans. When their teams don’t win they grab attention for jinxed and cursed when their teams do win they rub it in. When Boston and NE goes back to having not winning we will hear about it. Fact is they just aren’t content.
  3. This is a great topic. I feel like finding 4 eventual starters out of each draft is a goal. Strive for 16 starters homegrown each season.
  4. They will design some draws for him. I also see him still learning and holding on to the ball at times and then needing to scramble. The line has been flipped which should lead to different outcome. I also like having Daboll back for a second year. Hopefully this will lead to some good production.
  5. I believe it was Bosa. If so, good riddance. I can see the staff wanting to keep it quiet. I guess it says more about his level of player that you can’t tell if he was playing poorly on purpose or not.
  6. Wasn’t there a rumor that Mills intentionally missed blocks in the Chargers game two years ago because he wanted Taylor starting at QB?
  7. Oh well. Would of been a nice pick up. Let’s see how much and how long.
  8. Sounds like Fisher and Sweeney are similar in size and skill set. There is going to be good competition at TE.
  9. That is a good read. In regards to the handwork, that’s going to be a big transition. His coach is saying Oliver was able to use his speed in college to his advantage over o linemen. In the pro’s Oliver will need to develop his hand technique to become a dominant player. I believe Oliver did 225 pounds 32 times at vs Danold’s 35 times. Oliver sounds plenty strong enough.
  10. I’m not going to fire away. You are welcome to your opinion. I am glad Beane saw it the way I did. I also enjoyed watching the draft piece that showed how happy Beane was that Detroit didn’t take Oliver. Unless you have Tom Brady you win with good line play on both sides of the ball. Oliver was the right pick and is an instant plug and play guy. Let’s see how different Hockensons and Knox’s numbers are in two years from now.
  11. Good article. 6’6 and 268 is pretty lean. I am interested to see how fluid he is now. How well can he block 45-50 pounds lighter. If his strength is there and he can use his leverage and quickness he could stick around for awhile. I admire Fisher for giving it a shot at what he loves. We got Kroft, Knox, and one more guy fighting it out for the third TE...Or could 4 make the team with ST coming into play? Could Fisher be the emergency Tackle?
  12. Finally got to watch it. Great energy in that room and everyone seems to be on the same page communicating. Expectations for the first two picks set. Beane seemed to get his guys when he wanted them.
  13. True, the interview was conducted before the actual draft.
  14. Zay will have to have a serious off field issue and follow it up win a terrible preseason. Barring that, which I see neither happening, Zay will be on the team.
  15. Well anyone who thought the Bills should of picked Hockenson with the issues on the D-Line and Oline doesn’t know the Bills very well. Not to mention the fact that TE’s in the first are a luxury pick. I like what the Bills did and think the Bills addressed the biggest needs with the right picks.
  16. We can agree to disagree. Blank will fire the coaches and GM before he trades Julio. If there is a bad year, anything less than the Conference Championship game will be seen as a disappointment, look for changes with staff.
  17. Julio isn’t going anywhere. Why not ask ‘trade for Mike Evans’? They have the same probability of occurring.
  18. Dion says all the right things and I feel he is genuine. To be the leader he wants to be and the team needs him to be he has to show progression from his rookie production. Last year wasn’t good for anyone on the oline. Speaking as an old olineman it really is a group effort. He doesn’t deserve a pass. Dion can go out this year and prove he is the guy we thought after 2017 could be LT for the foreseeable future.
  19. I personally wish D.K. all the best. If he turns out to be the next young T.O then Seattle got a bargain. I have nothing against D.K. and will not root against him. The Bills had a lower draft value on him than the second round. Has anyone in Buffalo media asked Beane what grade they had on D.K.?
  20. Great article and shows scouts and front offices are getting more savvy. This was a weak WR class. I think Beane looked at who was available in the draft and felt the team already had players who possessed that skill set. He didn’t waste a pick on a player he knew wouldn’t have a great chance to separate himself from the others. Another sign Beane knew better than us what was going on.
  21. Absolutely not the same as the Peterman situation. We have guys in the wide receiver group who have shown they can produce well beyond the AJ level. Please tell me who the Bills needed to grab? This years wide receiver class in the draft is weak. There is zero can’t miss guys. Zero well rounded can do it all wide receivers in this class. Allen has better weapons and more time to develop with them in camps. Thank you for starting a good conversation.
  22. This is exactly right. To have a front office who sees a drafts strengths and weakness ahead of time. Sees depth and value can be had in different rounds is what has been lacking. Beane and McDermott are on the same page. I think McDermott and his OC are working together to identify needs and expressing those to the front office and they are executing. Great things ahead for this team.
  23. I don’t think so. Singletary will be there and most likely Gore and Yeldon. Everyone else I think is 50/50 for one reason or the other.
  24. Sure did and rightfully so. You think the Falcons picking the Tackle out of Washington late in the first was a curveball? I see the Bills didn’t have Ford in for an official visit. I love the pick and think we got a guy who is going to play hard and want to be good. Seems quite and determined. You need a couple guys like that on the line. One leader and a bunch of guys who buy into it being five working as one. Oline is the most critical unit on the football field. Nice to see our GM understand that.
