  1. You don’t need to spend a first rounder on a running back. You can get a good one in the third.
  2. Most underrated stat, sack percentage: Watson 9.1 playing with franchise left tackle Allen 6.4 (4.3 in 2020) all time career leader, Rob Johnson with a staggering 14.8
  3. Watson is good but not at Allen’s level. Allen has a stronger arm and is a better runner. Allen senses the pocket better and is more likely to survive against a great pass rush. Josh needs good but not franchise level tackles to be successful, so he reduces OL costs significantly relative to Watson.
  4. You have to consider the overall organization culture transformation when he signed. No other QB could have done that. Yes he got a bunch of Jordan calls during the game as well which were critical, but he showed enough game during the regular season that he kept getting the Jordan calls. If he was throwing nothing like ducks like he did v the saints mid-season the Jordan calls would have stopped. The league would have put him out to pasture if he could not still play.
  5. Nance snuck in a reference late In the game saying the family is in CBS’ prayers. Cringeworthy. I agree with you - — they did everything within bounds not to spoil the big day.
  6. Brady was smart enough to go somewhere that was just missing decent but not great QB play. Have to give Brady credit for going out and recruiting fournette and turning him into a team player.
  7. We all saw what happened. Brady gets PIs every time. It also didn’t hurt that GB and KC lost their left tackles.
  8. Fisher going down skewed everything.
  9. Man we would have been in the AFCCG if they called all the clutching and grabbing. Amazing
  10. The kid went back into the Raiders game making it look to the opponent that nothing had happened, though the pain had to be excruciating.
  11. Hate to say it but I wish he came up with something better against KC.
  12. A healthy Kenny Stills in 21 will easily outperform John Brown’s 2020. Thank you for the career year 2019 John Brown. Critical for Josh’s development.
  13. His grand exit was making a few monster plays to jettison Lawrence out of our division. Thank you Frank!
  14. Hard pass. I find him obnoxious and tad un-genuine.
  15. Someone should give Chan a shot with a real QB for once. Look at what he’s had to deal with over the years.
  16. Josh only overran this last year in the playoffs when the world championship was on the line. He certainly toned it down during the regular season. I’m ok with him running it in the playoffs if it’s our only chance to survive. Which it was.
  17. Song is not that great. I liked the Frank Reich song based on supertramps “bloody well right” or the Trent edwards song based on plain white ts “hey there Delilah”.
  18. in every game but one or two I’m like “our QB is way better”. It’s a good feeling.
  19. I never understood how he got, as his first job in the booth, the lead commentator for MNF. Why not start with some local cable show work. The naturals like Tony Romo are extremely rare.
  20. With all that he gets totally shut down in the playoffs. One and done.
  21. Beane can exercise cost control by continuing to be the master of the second shelf free agent market. Any pro player target of Beane, including Diggs, tends to be a third round or lower draft pick. He knows that the salary history of any highly drafted pro has been artificially inflated by their draft spot (often accompanied by name recognition pro bowl votes) and he’s not going to pay for it. He sees value where a pro has worked himself into a starter role after being drafted low. I would rather see Beane build through free agency and trades. He’s shown to be better in those areas than in the draft.
  22. Realistically, I think you would have to start at 4 1s to be taken seriously but that would not be enough. A top 3 QB like Josh can carry his team to playoff contender status every year even if the rest of the roster is totally mismanaged.
  23. Are Cupp/Woods really elite? My perceptions is that Goff was making receivers out of these guys, especially seeing Woods up close in Buffalo. Woods was a ceiling 2 in Buffalo and that’s being generous. With Goff, Woods has been elevated to a 1a.
  24. Rams don’t have a first round pick until 2024
