  1. Past hour
  2. No. Bishop can play both spots. Might be better in the box at the moment, but he'll be well coached. Also I'd say there's still a possibility of having Hyde returning after June 1,which would still be a better option than Rapp or Edwards
  3. There’s another scout saying, “he doesn’t separate and is a number 3.” I get that you want to be happy with the pick. Pretending that he isn’t polarizing and discrediting MULTIPLE redouble sources that don’t like him isn’t helping your case. If you believe that HE IS GOOD AT SEPARATING please provide the data that disputes Harmon’s analysis. Otherwise, it’s just blind homerism. We all want him to be great. Some of us are just willing to use actual data, analysis and film study to identify his strengths and weaknesses. We don’t need to pretend that he’s someone that he isn’t and we don’t need to discredit reliable sources because we don’t like what they are saying. It’s okay to live in reality. That doesn’t make you a worse fan. Also, do you care to list the WR groups worse than the Bills or are you still avoiding that harsh reality?
  4. So after the draft I believe we've filled out our roster pretty nicely. Everyone is absolutely freaking out about our WR corps, but I think we've underestimated the likelihood that Brady has some planned role in this offense for Hamler or Isabella... whoever wins that 2-way competition. Those 2 guys are basically the exact player that would complement the drafting of Coleman. And Justin Shorter still lurks at the bottom of our depth chart as that sneaky 5th round contributor Beane is known to draft.
  5. Agree on Coleman v Mitchell. When it was apparent the Bills would pick at 33 ( probably got offers to move down again ) I thought Mitchell would and should be the selection. Was definitely surprised it was Coleman, but I’m warming up to the pick for sure. Definitely rooting for this kid.
  6. In the last 6 weeks, we have gotten significantly younger and/or cheaper at 18 positions on the 53 man roster... Poyer, Hyde, Sirhan, Dane, Matekevich, Dodson, Floyd, Phillips, Shaq, Settle, Poona, Morse, Bates, Diggs, Gabe, Harty, Sherfield, Murray. Plus we have an extra 2nd rounder, an extra 4th and potentially another extra 4th and 5th next year. $54m in dead cap and still replacing 18 guys when the only significant question mark on the roster now is WR 1 is GM of the year type stuff.
  7. I just picked them because I always thought that was a cool name for a baseball team.
  8. I think you're generally correct. Having said that, for the buzz around the three top guys, it sounded like those guys have good shots at making impact from day one. One or more of them is the exception. Working into the lineup more slowly seems to be the norm. I gather that the complexity of the route trees and choosing the correct option of the route tree given what the defense is doing makes it tough for most receivers to break in early. They're running option routes in college, but the reads are simpler, I think. And they have to block, which isn't a part of the game for a lot of college receivers. On top of that, we keep hearing players talk about what a whirl-wind the first season is. Combine, draft, introductions, press conferences, moving, learning a new scheme, adjusting to the speed and strength of all the competitors on the field, all add to the difficulty of just learning to play the game at this level. Many of these guys say their game is enhanced greatly going into their second season, when they have all of February, March and April to get rested and their bodies well, and to be focused on the things that they learned in the first season. As I said elsewhere, I think the Bills' challenge this season will be escaping the first half of the season with enough wins to be in at least decent position to compete in the second half. I think Coleman, Bishop, Carter, and Davis all will begin to emerge as the season progresses. Having said that, I think it's possible that Coleman might flash early because of his unusual athleticism. If I'm Brady, my plan for Coleman is to quickly get him into a few sets and patterns that get him open for short and medium completions with opportunities to run. If the Bills can do that, Coleman might do some damage early and get the attention of the defenses. If that happens, he could become more productive than many rookie receivers. Coleman could have a great rookie season, but I think it's reasonable to expect no more than 600-700 yards. And of course, he also could be mired as the Bills' fifth or sixth option all through the season. Eric Moulds had 279 yards his rookie season.
  9. Excellent points, full agreement. I personally think we’ll be acquiring a vertical threat receiver after June and we will be good to go.
  10. Just learned on this video that Coleman is cousins with CeeDee Lamb.
  11. I was a bit surprised how many old guys the team drafted. At least 4 draftees will be 25 years old before the season ends. Overall, I have no idea how the draft went. Nobody does really. On the surface, I still believe the Bills are weak in a number of areas. Last year I thought the Bills would be 7-10 or worse if it wasn't for Josh Allen. His heroics masked the weaknesses in the team. There is work to be done.
  12. I give Mcdermott all the credit in the doubt with this pick. Seems like the guy he wanted at safety. Seems like the same way he wanted Bernard 2 years ago.
  13. Keon Coleman name dropped Hamler in his first interview after getting drafted. Said something like "fit in with KJ Hamler and those other guys up there." I thought that was interesting at least. Did someone on the Bills clue him in that Hamler was going to have a bigger role on the team than anybody has thought? Or did he just see his name on the roster and assume? If Hamler is fully healthy he has legit field stretching ability. Feels like quite a long shot to bet on though.
  14. As a former Toledo resident I'm offended. I also offending myself for being a Toledo resident.
  15. Giving up a 1st round pick for Diggs doesn’t count ? Or drafting Kincaid in the 1st rd last year and Colman this year? That’s 3 1st round picks
  16. The extra second and extra fourth along with Tre money and a Josh restructure could net a real WR1!!!! A stud WR, a vet RB, and a vet safety (Hyde/Simmons) would end all this ridiculous talk of a rebuild and we would be talking Superbowl once again.
  17. Trump's vice-presidential search may have taken a new turn Washington Post https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2024/04/23/donald-trump-vice-president-selection/
  18. ⬆️ Commie non-scientist. Daily double of useful idiocy.
  19. I do agree thar we haven't prioritised offensive assets - wide receiver in particular even nearly enough. But I am 100% confident that would have been the case wherever Brandon Beane was the GM and whoever his Head Coach was. So long as Beane has personnel control he will prioritise defensive line, linebackers and running backs. It is Carolina 101.
  20. The one thing I specifically hate about this draft is the “ Drafting for need” feel of it as opposed to BPA, with Coleman appearing to be example 1A. Character matters but it should not be the overriding concern it seems to be. Drafting for need is a perfect recipe for failure .
  21. It's more excusable for the Chiefs with Andy Reid calling the plays. If they add, it will have to be a trade for a roster player that isn't a washed headcase, or maybe someone shakes loose that isn't currently available due to the draft.
  22. Im not discrediting facts, I literally said I trust the facts coming from actual professionals not a fantasy football fan who turned his love for fantasy football into a job. And you just shared a scout comparing him to a borderline HOF WR. If he has the same rookie season Boldin had we might finally advance in the playoffs. PS: He’s also faster, taller and more athletic than Anquan Boldin.
