I would hope that Beane would be all over DK Metcalf if he were available in June. But I think they might be bought into a "rebuild" for 2025 mode and cling to all of their draft capital. I remember entering the 2007 offseason there was real hype building with media talking heads and Bills fans about how the Bills were putting together a young team that could soon challenge the Patriots. Fans were really in on Dick Jauron and drinking he and Marv's Kool aid. It was seen as OK that they let Nate Clements leave in UFA without using the franchise tag because they were getting their guys and getting younger. Then the Patriots traded a 4th round pick for Randy Moss........and proceeded to create MASSIVE distance between them and the Bills. They literally scored 8 straight TD's in the game at Buffalo that season as they went f*cking 16-0 with the highest scoring offense in NFL history. The moral of the story is that only a fool would expect that the championship team that you have been chasing will get complacent or be conservative and get themselves caught. No team has won 3 straight Super Bowls. The Chiefs KNOW that it will be harder to get this 3rd one and they may well just go to excess to create separation between them and opponents. The Bills should be in on a difference maker like Metcalf. He's not going to bring a 1st round return............so don't NOT get DK Metcalf just so you can get a shot on next years Cole Bishop.

Calling it now: You're all about to witness the arrival of Shakir
Scott7975 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Im big on Shakir. I was one of the first last season to speak up about him. Made a thread called something like "Shakir is our most explosive player on offense." That said, Beane had a lot of confidence last season in Davis and didnt really do much at the WR position then either. I take that with a grain of salt. -
Rd 5, Pick 168: Edge Javon Solomon, Troy

Same boat: was excited about the player in the pre-draft process, and remain super excited about him moving forward. I don't care that he's 6'1"ish. He has incredibly long arms, huge hands, and on-field explosion and bend that you cannot teach. The dude is primed to see the field early as a DPR because he provides pass rush juice the Bills don't otherwise have on the roster. Really like the pick in the short and long term. -

I love how you MAGA nutters have no balls to tag me. And yet, when asked to substantiate your feelings - you disappear like tear. -
While I'd say he outsmarted the gauntlet drill I agree with you about a lot of that- so many of the most reliable and productive receivers in the last 15 years have similarities to this kid's physical and athletic tangibles. Josh should thrive with a go-to that's not 5-9 and doing everything possible to avoid contact on every single play. It's also amusing/disappointing to see Bills Fans, and I know some percentage of them actually are, who would prefer not to simply voice their opinion and convictions with reserve, but instead choose to leave themselves open to being wrong in hundreds (or possibly 1,000s) of posts! At some point in adulthood you learn to take the weight off the pedal even if you're amped up.

Which player is the draft community too low on?
TBBills Fan replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
The true reason I bumped this post! My work is done here Solid. He was the first defensive player taken -
Welp, this thread being brought back to life proves for the 6,427th time: I'm an idiot. Not only was the draft community not too LOW on Troy Franklin, they were actually MUCH too high on him. I'm fairly certain no one here listens much to what I say as it is anyway, but...I'd recommend you go elsewhere for your lottery numbers.

What does it technically mean to be legally incapacitated? Does she have any hope for recovery? -
Wait, so Trump gets a pass for letting the virus hit the USA and destroy the economy and peoples lives... but Biden doesn't get a pass for having to clean up after Trump's incompetence? GTFOH Doc, our resident "independent" - quick to once again clean up the mess on aisle 45. Why do MAGA people hate and lie to themselves all the time?

Now that the stadium is a done deal, I can see him selling and just focusing on the Sabres. -
Does humor belong in music? Nick Mason, Pink Floyd's drummer, certainly thinks so. His 1981 album, "Nick Mason's Fictitious Sports", consists of songs written by jazz great Carla Bley and sung by ex-Soft Machine drummer Robert Wyatt, in general with a funny twist. Example: "Siam", with an Asian-sounding melody and references to tea, opium, and Siamese cats...

Oh look - another newbie. You didn't mind those PPP loans being forgiven, did you? You didn't mind Trump firing the watchdog who was tapped to oversee the $2.2 trillion economic relief package, right? And somehow, over $200,000,000,000 just disappeared... imagine that, right? go back to your safe place bich

Some think that some think the other. Look up ones where he wasn’t there for different honoree ceremonies and such. Regardless, the man has a wife who has apparently suffered a completely debilitation medical event. If that’s where his attention is focused fine by me. -

Just saw her interview with Sean Hannity....she makes it clear that the biased fake news lefty media have omitted key facts from the story: - the dog was 14 months old, so almost an adult, definitely not a puppy - the dog was given to her by another family because they found it to be too aggressive, she and her family gave the dog a second chance but it became even more aggressive, attacking both people and other farm animals, leaving her with no choice but to put the dog down. She seemed pretty genuine to me. -
You know, what you say is such good example of the fact that there different ways to look at a team. It's absolutely correct - how could the team be in a worse position now than they were then. They are much better off, physically. Of course, the real question is the roster as good today as it was a year ago at this time? That takes Bernard and Milano out of the comparison, and the secondary, too. Depends when you look. Nevertheless, I think your take is correct. That team last year won 5 out of six down the stretch - or whatever - to make the playoffs and win the division, and they did with the team you describe. If those guys, in that shape, could be that good, these guys have a chance to be much better.

That's sounds made up to fir a narrative. If you go to the sabres board that's linked to this board or somewhere like hf boards... most sabres fans think he's too involved. -
Simple question that answers it all. Where does our #1, #2 and # 3 WR rank amongst NFL rankings for WR’s? It’s an important question. We run a majority passing offense with one of the best QB’s in the league, and formerly one the better offenses. Extrapolate that out and the answer is simple.
