Week 5, Cheats v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
corta765 replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Appreciate the post. People are freaking because the defense is a work in progress and has been bad against the run and very bad with 3rd down defense even though statistically since the Ravens they have been fine. People are freaking because the offense while scoring 30+ is not throwing the ball around like the 07 Pats every week. People are freaking because Maye has looked pretty good and to the Pats credit they look improved and division games are a whole different ball game which is a far more fair point. In general basically because the Bills are not winning 40-3 every week with the offense throwing 400 yds, the defense allowing 10 yards total, etc.. the Bills are the worst team in the AFC even though their 4-0. lol I expect the Bills to win as they simply have more talent right now, a more well rounded roster right now, and Allen is the best player in the NFL. The Pats are going to make a game of it and at points make us nervous. Maye looks good with the potential to be really good and if they build this right over the next two years it will be a major problem for us even with Josh. But for right now the Bills at home should take care of business, come December in New England I think I have had that as a loss all year. -

Last night Sal was on wgr and said that the way McDermott spoke, they're going back to Bass, once he's ready. That's a big mistake in my opinion. We don't need a big leg, we need someone that we can trust.

This is way over played. Tre is having a very good year by CB2 standards. Outside of getting beat by Waddle in man coverage once or twice, Tre has been a consistantly good outside corner. No data behind this, but the eye test seems to have me thinking we are also willing to man up more often this year.

Right now Drake Maye is nowhere near Justin Herbert, who himself is nowhere near the Allen/Mahomes/Lamar/Burrow tier.

This is a game the Bills D needs to come out and take care of business early. In back to back home games they've allowed Miami and New Orleans to ram the ball down their throats in the first Qtr. I haven't seen the urgency. NE is feeling themselves a bit, can't let Maye get comfortable in the pocket. Bills 28 Pats 20 -
Those people were fired because they couldn’t control their worst impulses. They were embarrassments to their employers. Let me guess, the media was distracted from Epstein? Do you think the national reaction was a normal thing based on the shocking nature of the crime and the political nature of it?

Decorum!!! 😂 Always the iron law. Always.

flutie was there for multiple years in the 80's jesus. how can a fan of team constantly be so wrong? like... all the time? holy freaking airball. dude legit started 13 games over 3 years for your team.... how tf do you not realize he was a starter? i mean, it was some of the worst years for the patriots but come on.

I assume you're referring to @Royale with Cheese

Not the greatest year for the markets, but pretty good. No complaints. In late March, I put some money in a Nancy Pelosi stock mirroring fund. It’s up 44.9% since then.

The season is a month old and they have a bye in 2 weeks, any talk of resting any players at this point in time is crazy imo. If they're healthy then get them on the field they get paid enough, and the last 2 games have been far from easy against supposed cr*ppy teams which the patriots aren't. People talk like the number one seed is already locked up, it's not

The Ray Davis-backup running back discussion
zow2 replied to TBBills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cook definitely makes people miss in tight amongst the giant guys... his little jump cuts in there, then he bolts. It's great stuff. I'm telling ya, Ray is going to get 10 touches vs the Patriots. Brady has already said this week that Cook is being over-used. I'm rooting for Davis but if he can't get a couple chunk runs in there I would be making Ty the primary backup and start thinking about Gore Jr. The only issue with him is that Frank fumbled in a preseason game and McDermott will not let that slide. He won't trust Gore for a while. -

Pats 31 Bills 16 The Pats score on the opening drive with a TD pass to Diggs, followed by a KO return fumble by Samuel, leading to another quick Pats TD. Bills make it close at half (17-10) but can’t double dip. Josh throws his first pick six, icing the game. -

Bills 33 Flying Elvis's 20 This is a classic new kid on the block wanting to make a point but the old guard isn't moving at this time type of game. New England's offense has been decent at points with Maye playing pretty well while their defense is more shaky as they grow. Their talent is not phenomenal and with Milton likely out or limited and Barmore also off injury that hurts them badly on defense. With that said while I think the Bills hold serve throughout and get out to a 14-0 lead early courtesy of a Cook TD run and Coleman TD, the Pats respond in the 2nd with a Diggs TD as Maye breaks contain on 3rd and goal and finds him scrambling. Bills get a FG after but the Pats respond with a FG at half to make it 17-10. Out of half the Pats get a FG as the defense again bends but doesn't break and the WNY faithful get nervous, but Josh and the offense go on a 7 min + drive and cap it with a Knox TD to make it 24-13. Maye gets picked off deep on the next drive by Benford and the offense converts it to a FG entering the 4th up 27-13. The Pats get a TD of their own and it is 27-20 with 10 to go in the 4th quarter, but the Bills offense again responds as Moore finally scores on one of those reverses with 5 mins to go to seal the win (Bills miss the XP). Allen 285 yds 2 TDs 23-29 Cook 123 yds 1 TD 18 rushes Coleman 98 yds 5 rec -
I think activating Bass from IR would obviously be the first step... you have got to think he should be ready by now and activated... but maybe not... my gut is as long as Prater is kicking well Bass stays and they dont use an activation move... If Prater faulters... then all bets are off.. jmo...

Turnovers are not discipline. That is a flaw of the talent and coaching. They are buying into the HC and are a tough team to beat. Bills have to play a better brand of football. Underwhelmed by the total team performance this season.
