  2. On paper and experience certainly.... McD is a DB savant... We could start cam lewis at FS and I wouldn't be in a super panic mode I trust whoever gets the majority of reps in training camp and PS to play well... It's certainly going to be interesting without poyer and Hyde back there
  3. Safety. Because unless Bishop can win a job in camp it is the weakest unit we will put on the field week 1.
  4. I'm a little late to this party, so I'm just going to throw in a couple of random thoughts/arguments I had reading the thread. First of all, for all of those posters sick of people using Reid as some sort of comparison, it is just as annoying for posters to keep saying we should have multiple Super Bowls or be in the Super Bowl every other year at least just because we have Josh Allen. And since we haven't been, it means McDermott sucks or can/will never get over the hump. HOF Dan Marino, HOF Jim Kelly, HOF Fran Tarkenton, HOF Warren Moon, HOF Dan Fouts, Donovan McNabb, Philip Rivers, Steve McNair, Matt Ryan = 0 Super Bowls (future HOF) Aaron Rodgers, (future HOF) Drew Brees, HOF Brett Favre = 1 Super Bowl each (You could actually kind of add HOF Peyton Manning to this list as he was dragged along to his 2nd Super Bowl) So, let's just look at the current or soon-to-be HOFers on those lists. That is 9 Hall of Fame quarterbacks (four of which, at least, you could argue as Top Five All-Time QBs). Combined, they played 154 seasons of NFL football and yet have just 4 Super Bowl rings between them. That's 150 seasons with no rings for these HOF QBs. Just having a great QB does not guarantee Super Bowls. Now you could counter by saying, yeah, well if they didn't have good coaches, it's the same thing as the Bills situation. But in case you forgot, here is a the list of their head coaches: HOF Don Shula, HOF Marv Levy, HOF Bud Grant, HOF Don Coryell, HOF Tony Dungy, Mike Holmgren, Sean Payton Winning a Super Bowl is not as easy as some of you guys think. Just because you have an elite QB, does not guarantee Super Bowls, even with a HOF coach. There are so many factors to a football team and how their season plays out, plus lady luck (in regards to injuries, lucky bounces of the ball, etc.). There is context to every situation. And second, as far as getting over the KC hump, yes, we lost to them three times, but I don't see beating them in the playoffs as some insurmountable task. This is the way I kind of look at the three playoff games vs. the Chiefs: 2020: Bills first real taste/test in playoffs, KC was just the better and more seasoned team (both players and coaches); Beasley on a broken foot, and a bad knee; Diggs with an oblique injury; and the refs allowed the KC DBs to hold and manhandle our receivers all game long (just rewatch how unbalanced it was officiating-wise, now some of that too could just be a little lack of playoff experience and knowing that the refs let more go in the playoffs---but it was pretty bad on the refs part, imo). Not saying we would have won otherwise, just another factor. But, the Bills just weren't ready yet for a playoff-seasoned KC team as an up-and-coming team. 2021: The infamous 13 seconds. One of the greatest playoff games ever played. Let's face it, whoever had the ball last was going to win that game...both defenses were gassed and had been gashed all game. Those two offenses that year were just perfection. Yes, you can blame coaching all you want, but it's on the players too. And what if we won the coin toss? What if he missed the 48-yard FG? Etc. Plus, you can question coaching decisions for every single team that lost a playoff game in the history of the NFL. Sometimes things just happen. How many playoff miracles are there, where the losing coach gets blamed? Lots. And how many NFL coaches post-1960 are perfect in the playoffs (have no losses that can be questioned)---Zero. Reid was blamed in Philly for bad game mangement and every one of his losses was questioned. Time to get over 13 seconds, it happened, and it's in the past. But this game was obviously a complete toss-up as far as the argument of us "getting over the KC hump" goes. 2024: Bills injuries: No Matt Milano, No Jordan Phillips, No Tre White, Taylor Rapp (out), Christian Benford (out), Terrell Bernard (out), Baylon Spector (out), Poona Ford (out), T. Johnson (playing after concussion the week before), Rasul Douglas playing through a knee injury, Gabe Davis (out), Sam Martin punting with a bum hamstring, it was only Micah Hyde's 2nd game back after being out all season, it was Daquan's 4th game back after being out 10 weeks, and whatever the heck was going on with Stefon (whether it was injury or he just quit on the team---21 yards and no TDs on 8 targets with a fumble). And we only lost by 3? That seems more like a plus for coaching rather than a minus, even though it still sure sucked to lose.
  5. Of course anyone is free to feel anyway they want. The team that we beat ‘under their sun’ as you put it has also beaten us under ‘our sun’ to send us home for the season. Our victories over them were meaningless speed bumps on their way to championships. Fretting over a Cincy team that we have only faced ONCE in the playoffs while discounting a KC team that we’ve faced THREE times in the playoffs without winning once seems misplaced. But, like you said, we’re free to be concerned with whomever we want. I’ll be concerned about Cincy if and when we ever meet them in the playoffs again.
  6. Average temp in Miami in mid-September is around 90, and typically humid. Especially in oppressive heat and considering that everyone knows that Miami has arranged their stadium so that opponents are in the sun while they're under shade. But hey, if that's what they feel that they need to win, doesn't say much for 'em. As long as they keep sending Allen Father's Day cards we're good.
  7. Who said that? That wasn't one if his weaknesses coming in via the Draft.
  8. Well, WRT Samuel, again, IYO. I don't think that I'm undervaluing him at all, he's been a below-average WR in the NFL over 7 seasons, reasons aside. Claypool, we'll see. 5th time's the charm players aren't high-percentage. For Samuel it's the 8th time's the charm. Last year there was a whole lot of talk about Harty and Sherfield too. Keon has a moderate shot at being productive depending upon how we define productive. I envision Samuel being no better than the fourth leading pass catcher on this team this season, if everything lines up for him. There's way too much hype for a WR that's absurdly overrated in the "contested catch" category and whose collegiate production was based upon plays that aren't going to work nearly as well in the NFL for him. His personality and comedy routine is great but it's not worth anything on the field. IMO fans are going to be incredibly disappointed in his rookie performance. The original post of mine was in response to the hype video being Shakir stepping up. Think as you may, but it's incredibly unlikely that if Shakir, who's got chemistry with Allen, doesn't become our top WR this season, that a WR that's never caught a pass from Allen is going to be the one to do it. Claypool may not even make the team, and Samuel's averaged fewer than 500 yards and about 3 TDs/season. Pretty unlikely he does it either. Time will tell.
  9. Yeah, it was a pretty remarkable stat…especially for a guy so many people told me earlier in the year “couldn’t catch” lol.
  10. Good catch! Next WR was 5% points worse and ranked 14th.
  11. Thats great your halfway there! A guy I used to work for had a daughter that lived in Seattle, he loved visiting there and went to a few Mariners games
  12. So, since Madden 25 came out 10 years ago for the 25th anniversary of would this be Madden 25 Part II?
  13. She’s an opportunist playing to folks like you. She a subhuman pos.
  14. Houston—quick flight and closest this season other than Miami. Would like to see the Bills smoke CJ and Diggs in their first post-trade season meeting. The NASA Space Center would be on agenda if there’s time. In 2025 the Bills come back to Atlanta, so @Augie has already promised to be the designated driver for our local TBD contingent to that game and spring for Fox Bros. BBQ on the way! 👍😆 http://foxbrosbbq.com
  15. Well, they've got to do some kind of feel-good story to help fans feel hopeful and be inspired to buy tickets. Khalil Shakir is the only WR on the team who caught passes from Allen last season, so who else they got? I will say his training with Moulds helped him go from a 50% catch rate to 86.7% catch rate (apparently makes him practice catching bare-handed) so...
  16. He’s already penciled into job though, he’s not so much battling for it like how say Hollins, Claypool, and MVS are battling for their place in the pecking order. He would have to either get hurt or have a pretty disastrous camp for someone in the bottom half of the WR room to over take him while they simultaneously had a sensational camp. And Coleman was one of the more NFL ready WRs in the draft and has already shown early signs that make the concept of him having a disastrous camp feel pretty unlikely. So you’re not wrong, he hasn’t proven anything, but he’s shown enough that the idea that anyone but him will be playing the X WR1 position week 1 feels pretty unlikely.
  17. If you want to have a good litmus test of who is worth listening to, this thread provides an excellent example. People willing to believe a random FB comment because it supports their worldview while dismissing the obvious red flags are unserious people not worthy of your attention.
  18. Happy Birthday and Godspeed, Mrs. Pegula!
  19. I walked around the grounds a few times when the cages were on the outside and the building(asylum) was dark, bleak, abandoned and rundown. The place was creepy. The architecture, impressive as it is, added to that vibe. Never thought it be what it is now.
  20. Shakir was thought of as a steal when drafted, and has since shown steady improvement despite limited opportunities early in each season. Had some rookie year issues, and also had some issues with drops and whatnot in camp and preseason of year two. Nevertheless, Shakir became a supremely reliable and explosive target down the stretch last season. He's not a prototypical (?) deep boundary threat, though, so we're supposed to find only fault? Even though "prototypical #1 WRs" don't win many championships. Even though Tyreek Hill and Jalen Waddle and Amon-Ra St Brown and Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp and the San Fran WRs and blah blah blah all seem like the perfect options in reality (despite their measured limitations off the field). I'd argue that having Shakir and Samuel moving around from Z to Y to tight to the backfield, with MVS, Claypool (or Shorter), and Coleman lining up wide, and Kincaid and Knox as interchangeable and moveable TEs...is a pretty great headspace for the elite #17 to be in this year. Just scheme and leverage and who gets open. No more insane egos that outlived their usefulness. Sign me up.
  21. Very very very dumb question. Here's another dumb question. Why do nearly 15 million people live in NYC, LA, and Chicago, where the rent is super expensive, and they could get way more bang for their buck elsewhere? Because it's terrible, obviously. Instead, the mouth breathers keep asking why people are leaving. That's how the GQP mind operates.
  22. Personally I prefer the prospect of veterans McGovern and Edwards being the default OC and LG until definitively proven otherwise. Morse was clearly a finesse/movement OC, and it appears the Bills might prefer a beefier IOL after all. McGovern has been pining to play C since he got moved in college. I'll bet the guy can do the job and do so with a little more mass in the ass than the last guy. Although that last guy was pretty damned mobile and ostensibly a great locker room influence. I like to judge the Bills on the moves they CHOOSE to make. They definitely CHOSE this o-line reshuffle. So let's judge them on how well it works. Shall we?
  23. Because the question is dumb. If you ask 10 people you might get 10 different answers. I know people who left for sunshine and warmer weather, others to be near their kids, etc. People come and go. Many people leave NY for CA and vice versa. Many go south to FL or TX. I know people who have moved from the south to NYS too. Many leave NYC and CA due to high rents because of high housing demand. There are advantages and disadvantages to wherever you choose to live. MAGA likes to paint Dem states as unlivable hell holes. Anything that isn’t Trump/MAGA approved is the worst thing imaginable. It’s all part of the cult mentality. I know plenty of people in NYS who would never move to TX or FL if you paid them. If people don’t like where they live, they should run for office or move.
