Being appalled by loss of life isn't a strategy. The President's job isn't to make lions lay down with lambs or protect foreigners from their own stupidity. It's to shape strategies that shape events to our advantage. So what's in it for America if our strategy is an all-out push for peace on humanitarian grounds?

The 2022 class which is the foundation of the new core didn't really start making a mark until the back half of 2023 and only by the end of the year could you look and start really really feeling good about where it was going. Making any type of judgement on 2024 good or bad is a mistake until at minimum after this season and really like you said it should be year 3 where its yay or nay.

Wilson has his own issues like Mitch though. Namely, holding the ball and escaping backwards to his throwing side. Teams know this - the second he pats the ball the plays over. If the young kids had it between the ears - they wouldn't be available. It's not always coaching. Jones, PIckett, Wilson etc. have put out a TON of bad film and formed a ton of bad habits. Some of the options above are a bit better at other elements of the position, but their arms will let them down.
