  1. Past hour
  2. You seem to have missed the point entirely. That will be the least surprising thing that happens today.
  3. “Well if this hypothetical situation I came up with in my head happens, it’ll be totally the same thing!” It’s nonsense to appease the wannabe macho losers in the MAGA crowd
  4. 1st game favors the Offense I might guess. Bills might have the advantage imho
  5. You can keep your “vibes”. I’m after “Rings”.
  6. I'm guessing all of this nonsense started with a valid point, a rather lefty point coming from the granola faction. I learned this a long the same point a long time in an epidemiology class: in modern medicine we focus way too much on infectious disease and not enough on the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in highly developed nations. Things like cancer and heart disease, which are highly correlated with lifestyle factors. Valid point, based in large part on developed nations having largely eradicated deadly infectious diseases. (AIDS emerged in the 1980s to upset the applecart, but still.) And we did this through public health improvements (no more cholera!) and vaccination advancements. So maybe the CDC should spend more time and money on the non-infectious disease causes of morbidity/mortality. So more on diet/nutrition. More on environmental policy (which is RFK Jr.'s entry point into this hole world). More on ever "gun violence" and car crashes. Valid points. So maybe all this lifestyle stuff is really where the action is, and we can all move on from that whole infectious disease/vaccination obsession of public health. Maybe if we just let that ride and get rid of artificial dyes in our foods and eat healthier and ban glyphosate (that one remains strangely off the map thanks to the big ag lobby) and other chemicals in/on/around our foods we'll reach Peak Health and Happiness. Invalid point. It ignores the fact that we are now able to concentrate on non-infectious disease because we've been so good at eradicating a lot of infectious disease! It is the same thing as the famous stupid NYT headline: "Despite lowering crime rates, record numbers remain imprisoned." Only this time it's "Despite infectious disease deaths being way down, we still spend more on preventing infectious disease than ever." Invalid. Stupid. Illogical.
  7. That’s okay, I have responded to topics in the wrong thread more than once, lol
  8. Not to get picky but after the explosion the hull of the boat from what i saw looked intact. I would expect a hellfire would obliterate the target but I'm no expert.
  9. It’s a gambling house, they have zero to do with the actual game
  10. If Keon Coleman would’ve taken that hit by Kelce my money is on him playing the entire game
  11. Posts like these are stupid and waste space on the forum. The thread poster never said what you claim. All they said is that if the Chargers can somehow win that division, it will make a KC matchup vs Buffalo in the playoffs "less likely". Nothing about KC being done in week 1. It's posts like yours that make people not want to bring up an opinion or add an interesting thought to the board.
  12. Ironic that I used the wrong “there”. The jury is still out out on Worthy, the same as it is with Coleman. I believe Worthy had three deep receptions, including the one in the Super Bowl. His average was like 10 yards, but that number is probably skewed by gadget plays. “ Stinks” was probably a bit harsh. I have a hard time with how easy Worthy is brought down. That being said, I’m a bit testy, because I want the Bills to beat the Ravens.
  13. Sorry... jumping the gun... should be for tomorrow...but game weekend just SEEMS like time for game day discussion
  14. Chargers did look in control Chiefs defense looked slow and old against the Chargers Only one game though
  15. I've listened to a lot of coverage on this game. In the shop this morning I caught Carruci and dan lebetard on NFL radio. I've always always always appreciated their straight forward non-hot take perspectives. Which, when eating lunch just now I see nfl.com says that the game will be a shoot out, 10 TD's between he QB's. I guess I get the idea. Everyone is expecting fireworks. But, back to Carruci and Lebetard they seemed more balanced. I am, too. I don't see either team scoring the 35+. The Bills offense has the potential, and their defense has the unpotential to give it up. The Ravens offense has the ability to score but not the explosiveness of the Bills. Their defense can shut down and offense. If the winning score is something 31-20something I'd expect that about the highest. If both teams touch the mid 30's I will be amazed. I don't know the Ravens have the horses to play like that - I don't know enough about their depth. I know the Bills could score 40 if they fire off.
  16. I know it's a late game, but shouldn't we be metriculating on a game day thread by about now.?
  17. They did a good job scheduling the event. The Bills are playing a Thursday Night game & Josh is free that weekend.
  18. They've all ready lost a game to a division foe and have you seen the brutal schedule for them?
  19. Splitting hairs maybe but I view Allen as a “big slot” type, Ladd as a “small slot.” Ladd and Shakir have a similar body type and play style whereas Allen is more like what Keon could (and maybe should) be as a “big slot” (cue the “your mom” jokes I know). Long way of saying I still think Ladd would be duplicative here given that we have Shakir. But I could see an offense here with Keon and Shakir both in slot roles.
  20. KC losing was a nice way to spend a Friday night not gonna lie The idea that a lighter guy can take as much punishment as a larger guy is an extreme minority take. People upstream in this thread mentioned durability as a huge reason to pass on Worthy. Most rational people realize that Worthy's increased risk of injury factored into the FO's decision not to take him. And while, of course, wishing injury on anyone is a bad look, it does help support the decision made by the FO/Beane.
  21. Some of you are insufferable and the season hasn't even started yet. Saturday Night Live addressed you back in the 80s before some of you were even born: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUL7q8eyig8
  22. Just means more money is on the Ravens Cant say I disagree. Its a bad matchup before you add the questions marks at corner and safety
  23. Justice Hill is extremely dangerous every time he touches the ball. (He also made a great play to keep Von Miller from scoring on that fumble recovery in the playoff game.) I’m surprised the Ravens don’t feature him more.
