  1. Past hour
  2. What happens if Slay decides to change his mind and report to the Bills next week. I assume the Bills would either need to cut another player from the 53 to make room, or decide to release him then. If I’m Slay, I may consider this as a 4D chess move to get what he wants because I’m not sure I see the Bills cutting another player to make room for him again …
  3. I’ll have a slippery nipple
  4. Burrow gets the ball out so quickly, a few batted balls would be good for me. Neither teams pass rush will do very much damage in this one. It is possible if Tre, Max and Benford have outstanding games...
  5. Time to get that Megan Fox guy on the field!
  6. What a sad show of damage control this thread has become. Are we one stop closer to realizing j6 was just caused by a bunch of misguided rednecks?
  7. Good point. Kid has talent and even though I despise McD still being our head coach he’s actually pretty good with DBs. At the very least it’s a good depth pickup. I’m cautiously optimistic about our safeties not botching things up now that Hamlin and Rapp are out for the year and we have Bishop, Poyer, Hancock and now Savage
  8. Groot is a very good player who is appropriately paid for his contributions. The player you want him to be would have been extended for literally double the contract value. I feel like a broken record in these threads, but it doesn't change reality.
  9. Agreed, time for Rousseau to turn into these guys 😂
  10. Can I buy you a drink?
  11. It all depends on McD. We know the team Beane fielded us has holes but it also can put up points in multiple ways and the defense tightens up in the red zone. The question is how many times will McD give up the long downs, when we have the lead will he do his normal prevent D and let the bengals back in it, will he mismanage key moments when a FG early would lead to an easy win late (Texans), he’s proven to be horrible in tight games and this one is going to be a high scoring nail biter
  12. We get this goddamn thread every week. Sorry to come across as negative. I'm one of the more positive fans on the board. But seeing "Groot has to step up this week" is like expecting the sun to rise in the east.
  13. 32-27 Bills. Ty Johnson over 100 receiving yards. Let’s go!!
  14. IDK I think he's more like a Derrick Thomas or Lawrence Taylor type.
  15. Josh, no question, but only if McDermott and co. stop making defense their primary focus and get him more tools. Sadly, I am not super confident that they will be able to bring themselves do so, and I'm not sure how much longer Josh will want to put up with this madness.
  16. Except their losses are to the Raiders (yes, the Raiders) and the Steelers when they turned the ball over 5 times. I would say they HAVE tripped up, but did it early. What they haven't done is lost toss up games against good teams (Bills and Tampa in Tampa come to mind). I've also heard how awful it is that the Bills could lose to a team like Atlanta and the Patriots beat them by 1.
  17. I think this is a game where AJE actually does well. He can be disruptive.
  18. Groot is not a “step up” kinda guy. He’s a steady player who Beane overpaid.
  19. With Hendrickson still out, there’s no excuse for the Bills not putting up 30+ in this one. The game result all depends on which Buffalo defense shows up and the offense not turning it over.
  20. The odds of him stepping up with a practice squad guy on the other end, are very, very slim. If anything, Groot will draw more attention and the practice squad guy will have a better chance to step up.
  21. Adams should trade for that Winnipeg goalie he looked good
  22. This is a really interesting game, given how the league has played out this year. The unexpected has been happening a lot, teams have risen from the dead to knock off better teams, teams are up and down week to week, and games play out much differently than stats or recent performances would suggest. There’s no consistency this year, except for New England. They haven’t tripped up, whereas the Bills and every other team has had their bumps/potholes in the road. At the beginning of the year, it looked like the offense couldn’t be stopped, and now I cringe when Allen goes back to pass - is he going to get blasted, throw an awful pick, or have Cook wide open in the flat but throw it high to Coleman who misses it? Like @finn, I feel like this game will be a good barometer of whether the Bills are going to get their shlt together and go on a run, or be a consistently inconsistent first round playoff loser.
