The thing is, three of his first five games were at 50%. After that, he was under 70% just twice. Throw out those first five games and he's at almost 80% for the rest of the year I suspect that difference is an aberration...just a guy adjusting to the NFL in his first few games in the league.

I think those are the likely starting points. I'd imagine with the Bills already tight on cap, it took some doing to get Beane up to $12M, and then an even heavier lift on getting the guaranteed money up. I'd also be interested in hearing if Beane started at 3 years and came up to 4, and how the Cook camp felt about that (there's pros and cons for both sides). We'll never know any of it tho.

Fair point but I’d imagine the vast majority of players receiving stats also trend downwards, although maybe not as drastically as Ladd. Also where’d you get those numbers from? Not saying I don’t believe I’d just like to see that breakdown for other players as well.
