Weird...I think I said this when we passed on DK Metcalf to pick Cod Ford in the 2nd round.

Ironically, I’ve recently been working out the keyboard intro to Bloody Well Right. It has some tricky timing that has escaped me forever, but I finally decided a couple of weeks ago to finally tackle it and practice until I have it down. I started playing it when the record came out, but only got about as far as the first 8 bars before winging it (playing it wrong). So now with the composer watching from above, I need to get it bloody well right.

Statistically he was no bueno. I thought he was okay by the eye test.

What I'm about to say is not intended to diminish Josh's participation on this play. It is exceptional. The first motion is often designed into the play to ID the coverage: man or zone (though some newer defensive wrinkles will move a DB with the motion and then play zone). That said, Cook's motion is all Josh.

Hard to believe he is punting all training camp etc was any different than in the game. Why wait until after week 1.

Oliver causing Henry to fumble might have been the most important play in a series of plays that started the comeback. I give the defense and Oliver specifically credit for that. Hopefully they can get better as the year moves along. Have to think Beane will try to improve the defense if there is anyone he can bring here.

I really just hope they don't trade him back to Kansas City

I think he’s due about $36 Mil next year with none of it guaranteed, so it seems a safe bet that he won’t be collecting that.

I was joking, but leadership is a talent. McDaniel doesn't have it. He will make a great OC somewhere, where he can focus on play design and let others lead.

Kickers are literally the only position where you can sign and play that day/next. Doubt we see any significant defensive lineup changes because of learning curve...unless its via trade in a few weeks.

This is a head scratcher. So new kicker, new punter and new place kick holder by week two???? Did the punter get hurt? Seemed like he was booming it during the game.. Didn't notice any issues with the punter or his punting...

Was waiting to see if they brought in a practice squad guy, but looks like Robbins is being cut. He was BAD week 1 - horrible hang time, net avg, and that final punt was just awful.

What happened to Brad Robbins? I don't really care who is punting, but the FG unit relies on the punter being the holder and that unit looked smoothe the other night. Why disrupt it.

I’ve only needed one, but the other one will certainly need it soon enough. Medicare covered 100%, but I elected to get the upgraded lens for an extra $2900. I can’t tolerate eyeglasses, so I’ve been wearing contacts for about 20 years. Now, only in left eye. What’s amazing is how bright everything is after getting surgery. It’s like somebody turned all the dimmer switches to full brightness. Agree with the recommendation.

I get the point but what he really needs to do is practice good leadership. I knew army leaders who were skinny and somewhat nerdy who nonetheless successfully led guys into combat. Unlike McDaniel, they had a command presence, spoke with confidence, acted decisively, and led by example. I do appreciate that Tua said something to the effect that McDaniel was the first coach to believe in him. Good stuff. But I remember seeing McDaniel on Hard Knocks or whatever and thinking: "That guy is not a leader of men."

Glad to know this is what our staff came away with from the Ravens game! Dead last in D but we need a new punter! That will fix it!
