  2. Oh I absolutely think mental fatigue plays a role here. A good chunk of this team has made the playoffs multiple years in a row and almost every year outside of 2020 and 2022 they've lose games they could have and arguably should have won. There has to be a certain element of feeling like "man just get me back there so I can do it right this time!!!" I know for me I've really approached this season with a "wake me up in January" approach. I watch all the games and have fun watching them (yes, I'm one of the fans still having fun... and it might be because of this approach), but I don't really care all that much about these games because it's just the regular season. I know others will disagree, but I still really don't have a doubt that the Bills get into the playoffs. And once they're in, all of these regular season games are meaningless. Yes, I realize they matter for where the games are played, but Allen is a gamer and I still very much believe that this team's extensive experience in the playoffs is really going to help them. Now... the problem is that my approach to the season is just fine because I'm just a fan. Bills players need to find ways to not fall into that same mentality. However, they're human beings. And truthfully, they're the ones who were actually up close and personal to those losses in the playoffs over the years. So I could absolutely see them just looking ahead. I think we should prepare ourselves for this roller coaster to continue. I think we'll lose 1 or 2 of our remaining games and end up in the playoffs as a wildcard team on the road. And I'm fine with that. Maybe sending this team on the road in the playoffs will actually weirdly take a little pressure off their shoulders.
  3. Just get to the playoffs healthy. That’s where I’m at with it. 2020 the Tampa Bay Bucs didn’t win the division and had to win 3 road games to get to the SB. I truly believe there isn’t anybody in the AFC the Bills can’t beat when they are playing at their best.
  4. Ty Johnson I guess. This is an incredibly specific and little to choose from question
  5. BUMP I think this is a very important point and I concur. the Atlanta defense smacked us in the mouth but the Bills still could have won. a game I want to scrub from my mind ASAP. its just depressing on many levels
  6. I worry about both of them, plus Cook - three high-usage players who are somewhat on the smaller side. The way they use Shakir he is going to get destroyed, it is just a matter of time. Cook is great at avoiding big hits but at some point the wear and tear is going to take a toll. Benford looks like his body is already starting to break down. Bernard is another one, a smaller inside LB with injury issues is already on a downward trajectory.
  7. I'm not doing either of those. How much time do you spend spamming the board? Cope and seethe, moron.
  8. Yes. Spreadsheets and numbers.
  9. I'm still happy with Benford's contract. He was rough to start the year but he has rounded into form. If he keeps getting knocked out by injuries then I'll begin to question it more but considering the AAV we got him at it's hard to complain. Shakir I am worried about because his play style earns him a lot of big hits and the injuries have been piling up this year. I supported re-signing him but I'm starting to wonder if he'll be healthy enough through the duration of his contract to be worth it. Ultimately though we spend so little on the WR room he was practically a must sign.
  10. You’re right to some extent but weekly I see plenty of guys in the league make TFL’s on the opposite side of them. Groot was excellent last year, I’ve acknowledged that on this board and even praised him. This year however is different. He doesn’t see a vast number of double teams and is paid to make plays. Groot is as underwhelming as the rest of them on the line. If was as great as he’s made out to be, that would show up. Sadly for the Bills and Gregory, it doesn’t.
  11. Exceeded Spencer Brown as I worried he was going to regress back to his injured version and wonder if his 3rd year turnaround was a fluke. Granted he did get hurt last night but who didn't?
  12. Maybe the NFL will move the Cleveland game to Detroit again. That one really boggled my brain lol.
  13. To think a couple weeks ago there was a thread where about half this board actually preferred this team play 3 road playoff games instead of getting the bye and 2 home games just to avoid 2 teams we already beat in KC and Ravens. This is not a team we need to rely on to beat 4 teams to win a SB and have to do 3 of them on the road for just the shot to win the SB. Honestly think there is no team in the NFL that needs the 1 seed more than the Bills right now - and of course after going 3-4 in its last 7, is pretty much killed any hope to even get the 1 seed this year. Hell, now we are left wondering will they even make the playoffs.
  14. The Texans went ultra conservative in the second half because they had the lead and their defense was dominating Too much is being made of the defensive performance in the second half. They went into a shell to not make mistakes
  15. For sure. But human psychology is what it is. Money doesn't change that.
  16. O Line was horrid and to be honest looked old tired and lazy. Especially Dawkins, the two OT’s were getting beat like a drum. Couple that with wr’s who struggle to get space, and horrendous offensive playbook it’s no wonder we looked like arse.
  17. I'm sorry but no excuses these guys are paid fortunes
  18. What our O-line looked like last night.
  19. Free will is a foundational Catholic doctrine. Dems are allowing people to exercise it. I don’t know of any Catholic Dems who are advocating abortion but rather are advocating for choice.
  20. Which we all knew, even us fans so where was the offensive scheme to deal with that and maybe a second half adjustment?
  21. That one has been unfortunate. I had no issue paying him and would do it again. It may not work but we’ve seen him play at an elite level. Hopefully we see it again.
  22. We finish 9-8 and just miss it.
  23. Once again nothing learned from the Tampa game No for 2020, and not during the 21 playoff run....
  24. So he is the new "spreadsheet guy showing options". Thanks.
  25. Not with me you wouldn't... I hated him...
  26. Oh they've already started.
