What’s my point? My point isn’t about anything you said in this recent post. It’s not about whether or not I blindly support the team and management. None of that was part of the equation. My one & only point… I think it’s wild that fans can look at a guy on TV for three seconds and surmise that “he looks shaky.”

I mentioned this under the "Brady is the issue" thread, but it certainly deserves its own. While, yes, it's not the "best" metric, it is still an indicator that this offense is very good, despite what some people think of Brady.

Yea the worry isn't that this stat is misleading - it's not. It is that without the incredible efficiency Brady has generally been able to coax out of this offense with Josh at the helm it struggles. There is no "cheat code" for the days or even the drives when they are less efficient.

I noticed this as well, Poyer has also been solid. Spelling with Hancock is definitely the plan moving forward to keep him fresh. I may be wrong, but it feels like Bishop/Poyer alternate sides more than Bishop/Rapp had been.

The current thinking seems to be starting to shift to we miss on second round picks most but we do love to overreact to 1-2 games of course 😂 our first rounders in the josh era have been Josh, Edmunds, Ed Oliver, Greg Rousseau, kaiir Elam, Kincaid,Hairston Second round picks are Cody ford, aj epenesa,boogie basham, James cook, Torrence, Coleman,bishop, TJ Sanders it’d be pretty cool to give up a second for a trade instead haha

Yeah, it annoys me that there are 272 games in an NFL season and the pundits believe only one of them doesn’t matter. When the Bills beat the Chiefs. Hell, I guess it only matters if the Bills lose. Then it would tell us something. They trot out the same line on every show “until the Bills beat the Chiefs in the playoffs it doesn’t matter.” It’s like they don’t realize that NONE of these regular season games have a direct impact on who will win in the playoffs. Why bother covering the regular season at all? Just show up and cover the playoffs. It’s lazy. Just break the game down like you do every other game. Kudos to the Athletic Football Pod for doing exactly this. One of the many reasons it’s - easily - the best national show out there.

Hendrickson is out right now with a hip injury. And he actually is hurt because the Bengals are trying to win to stay in the AFC North race. He would also cost not only a first, but also a massive extension (top non-QB type contract) in order to make it work. I think if anyone makes that move, it will be the Pats (unfortunatly) because they have the assets and cap space.

Dion Dawkins: second rounder (and while this happened in 2017, I strongly suspect Beane fed info to the Bills. The Bills jumped right ahead of Carolina to take him, and Beane joined the Bills the next month.) James Cook: second rounder Spencer Brown: third rounder O'Cyrus Torrence: second rounder Kincaid: first rounder Ed Oliver: first rounder Rousseau: first rounder Cole Bishop: second rounder Terrell Bernard: 3rd rounder although I'm unsure of his worth (he is a team captain, though, and was legit good in 2023) Dawson Knox: third rounder. He's obviously not elite, but he's a core player in their run game and has had a solid career.

You are right and don’t discount Poyer’s input. I don’t think it is a coincidence that his two best games came when Poyer was active.
