Oliver Still Leads Bills in TFL, 2nd in Sacks
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Kaenon's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills WILL make the playoffs. If they flub an 84% chance then i just don’t know anymore, but i highly doubt they miss them outright. If we can somehow get Oliver back by the 2nd round then the Bills have a legit shot (assuming we also have Kincaid back.) I’m holding out for a magical playoff run. The team IS talented enough IF firing on all cylinders with a SOLID OFF/DEF GAMEPLAN. We’ve seen crazier things happen in sports. -
Sanders? I honestly have no idea what his uniform number even is. Anybody know?

A truly unhinged and embarrassing post. I don’t know if you noticed it in your overemotional state, but the tweet and words from that lady did not mention anything about presidents or anyone else by name. Really nice work on your part. It’s going to be very sad for you when your Internet hobby dries up isn’t it? A lot of other people will be glad that the killing is over. When it eventually happens, that is.

The first line of the 2025 Bills’ season video will be…..

Super Bowl aspirations require Super Effort... that was not the Buffalo Bills in 2025 -
I voted yes but I cannot and will not try to justify this vote.

I often hear this from posters as if they know how Terry Pegula thinks and operates when it comes to the Bills I get that he operates the Sabres a certain way, but to assume he will settle for mediocrity with this franchise, with a superstar QB entering a new stadium next season is kind of silly IMO Unless someone here has more than an assumption based on how Pegula has handled a completely different franchise that doesn't bring in nearly the same revenue, then you don't really have any idea I think McDermott and Beane are very much in trouble if the season ends with no playoffs and no enthusiasm going into the new stadium. In fact, I can't imagine that Terry would want to open the stadium with a team that the fans are not excited for.

“6. Two-minute drill: Bills' predictable offense? Bills quarterback Josh Allen took eight sacks, and his offensive coordinator, Joe Brady, took criticism from some analysts for overusing mesh concepts on third down in a 23-19 defeat at Houston. What's the truth? On the sack front, the Bills have empowered Allen to handle free rushers instead of leaning on intricate protection schemes to do the job, according to coaches familiar with Buffalo. Allen can make defenders miss and break away from their grasp as well as just about any quarterback. He can also play freer without directing more of his energy and preparation toward setting protections. But with Allen taking sacks at a higher rate this season (7.9 percent) than in any since he was a rookie (eight percent), that's an area the team might be wise to revisit. The Bills have also led the NFL in rate of plays using five-man protection, the minimum number possible, in each of Brady's two seasons as coordinator, per TruMedia. The answer is nuanced regarding Brady's love for mesh concepts, which deploy receivers running shallow crossing routes to create natural rubs against man coverage in particular. Critics had a point Thursday night when Brady called mesh concepts on failed third-down plays with 1, 3 and 6 yards to go for a first down. Houston played Cover 3 Seam and Cover 1 defenses on these plays, ideal schemes for either defending crossing traffic (Cover 3 Seam) or making tackles immediately before the sticks (Cover 1). On the one mesh rep against zone Thursday night, Allen found no one open and tried running up the middle, only to have Texans linebacker Denzel Perryman slam him to the ground from behind with great force. Mesh was a successful go-to concept for the Bills last season, but Buffalo's effectiveness on those plays has plummeted in 2025. How Brady adjusts will be important for Buffalo.” https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6808180/2025/11/24/chiefs-eagles-playoffs-super-bowl-hopes/

We were 4-0 before wearing those ugly *** Silver uniforms and 3-4 since. The only consistencies with the team this year is the non stop penalties, the never ending injuries and not filling our gaps in run Defense (we hear that one every week from McD). The magic this team has had the past few seasons seems to be gone and they show up flat and not ready to play far too often ... we're collectively becoming Keon Carpenter. 2-4 in the final 6 games wouldn't be a shock, 4-2 would be.

Wonder if Jordan Addison will be available this offseason
MikePJ76 replied to gonzo1105's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am more interested in Kevin O’Connell. Maybe he gets the axe for staying with McCarthy over Arnold. he would be a great head coach and play caller here. -
Carroll got tired of wooing coeds, figured it was time to try a Vegas showgirl.
-
That was definitely the plan. But what cab they do? The injuries are real.

Oliver Still Leads Bills in TFL, 2nd in Sacks
ProcessTruster replied to Kaenon's topic in The Stadium Wall
yeah Beane has no luck in FA, goes and gets key guys (miller, hoecht) and then they immediately get catastrophic, career altering (ending?) injuries. I guess, as always, Buffalo is not allowed to have nice things Since the regular season is kind of a wash at this point, Let's get as healthy as possible for the season-end tournament with JA17 and see how that turns out -
Very good chance Week 18 we are playing for the postseason, and I'm not sure they make it. I can think of really good reasons they could lose any of their upcoming games: With the way they struggled with the Texans pass rush, how do you think they are going to perform against the Eagles? I could see them also struggling badly with the Steelers and Browns rushers. Bengals get back Joe Burrow, so their record is irrelevant. The Jets also pose a much bigger threat with Tyrod Taylor, and Aaron Glenn might be coaching for his job in the final game. I've also finally accepted the Patriots are a better team than us this season, and will probably sweep.

We're Heading to Pittsburgh... The Stadium is Haunted
Bill from NYC replied to ryguy101's topic in The Stadium Wall
It is haunted, and I am living proof. In 1996, the Bills were headed to Pittsburgh for a playoff game. I read in the paper that Bruce Smith was listed as doubtful due to the "flu." I was beyond furious. I called him everything but a child of God. Flu? I can't express how much of a wimp I considered him to be. We lost, and Bruce was just so great we may have won with him in there. Who knows? Well, a week or two later I was driving home and was freezing on not the coldest day. i was so cold put on the heater full blast. Walking from my drivway to the house I was shivering, and had the worst flu of my lifetime. I lost 14 pounds in a week, and was hallucinating yellow and red cartoons on my bedroom wall. On the 4th day I was able to eat half pice of toast with no butter and a few sips of black tea. I realized that I would more than likely live. That same flu today would surely kill me and I am the first on line for flu shots. My point? I was just so angry at Bruce for not playing. I wanted him to go to Pittsburgh and play professional football with that flu in 20 degree weather, and it turned out that making it from my bed to the bathroom was barely if at all possible. I guarantee that others on this board remember that game. Bruce wound up in the hospital as I recall. Well, karma came around to haunt me for my judgemental rant lol. -
Sounds like a really strong, humanitarian argument for ending the war as soon as possible. Should be pretty easy to do with skilled diplomacy and a fresh set of eyes. Especially now that Sleepy Joe is gone. It's not like we're sleepwalking through a bloodbath that Biden couldn't prevent and Trump can't end.

Yep. It's the bolded. Where once he was the coming force he is now clearly yesterday's man. How much time can a guy in his 70s get? That is why it sucked as a hire. That was a multi year rebuild.... with a coach who is in his 70s. Nonsensical.
-
Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

We will see.

Completely done with mcdermotts defense. I don’t even want to hear him talk anymore this year. When they win he says certain things that make me cringe and then when they lose there is no mention of that thing.. total nonsense. He sounded like a sad sack with no answers after the loss to the Texans Thursday. there is no excuse for the defense to be this bad. I give him a pass vs Atlanta. The team was decimated on defense that night. He doesn’t get that pass for the Texans game or going forward. we play the most pathetic run defense in the nfl. If McDermott was the coordinator under a head coach and the defense played the way it does every week he would be the one called on to be replaced. He just gets a pass here because the team would create so many takeaways and Josh Allen can make magic late in games. I have basically just had it watching this defense.

Is that Chip Kelly? Or just a generic RaiderFan? Could be either. 😁

Nope. Was horrible hire. And bringing Chip with him was clown show territory.

Diana Russini in The Athletic - draft and tanking idea
GunnerBill replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Cleveland 1-15 came after that and was definitely a tank. They even traded cap room for a pick remember allowing the Texans to essentially dump Osweiler's contract onto their salary cap for the cost of a 2nd round pick. That is the definition of a team trying not to win. But agree the Colts tanked for Luck too. They are the only two genuine tanks I can recall. -
