  1. Past hour
  2. Personally I'm not even sure if I'm in the "he's a solid backup player" like so many people seem to be saying. Can he play the position if a starter gets hurt? Uh, technically I guess? Will I have any faith whatsoever in his performance in place of whoever the starter was? Absolutely not.
  3. McD defensive philosophy is conservative, bland and not creative, not aggressive, and soft like Charmin
  4. Last year vs Bears in preseason 6-3 at half 13-6 going to 4th Chi had 340 yards to Bills 200 Yesterdays drubbing was on a whole new level.
  5. Week one will be a great test. The Ravens are about as physical a football team as there is in the league.
  6. If you had a gun, you should have shot the guy that did the stabbing. That would have been a great punchline.
  7. Good thing this has nothing to do with her sneaking Corey Lewandwski in her back door.
  8. I think you're misremembering the latter part of last season a bit. I don't recall him notably screwing up much if at all. Obviously, he was bad versus Houston, but that was one game very early in his career. I'm not saying he's going to succeed, by the way. I just think it's too early to write the book on him. Safeties have a lot of mental responsibilities in this defense, which I suspect is one of the reasons why I think McDermott prefers vets/guys who have been in the system a while. Shifting from the Pac-12 and missing most of camp was always going to result in some mental errors last season. He IS physically talented, though -- far, far more than Hamlin. I think we should give him some time. Let's see how he's playing when we get to around week 9-10.

  10. I must have dosed off. 😂
  11. Spencer Brown brought some long-lacking toughness to our team. Josh Allen certainly brings it. McD's teams, though tend to be outmuscled by tougher teams. Last night (I know it was preseason!) was just another example of a lack of toughness and heart. I continue to wait for a "smack in the mouth" performance and wonder. Again... preseason... second and third string... but the killer attitude (especially for players trying to make the roster) really seems to be lacking. I am not overreacting to a meaningless preseason game but have always questioned if our leadership can get the most out of the players.
  12. Moore getting open on a great arrow route but the ball is tipped.
  13. Yeah, I dont think Dane is long for this team... at best PS incase we have a major issue... Hamlin is just not a good saftey.. he knows the system... but we need an upgrade... I havent seen Forrest play.. I heard Hancock was being looked at as a saftey, bottom line is our DBs are not good... Iike to the point that you are thinking hmmmm... is Poyer an upgrade LOL whats Ronnie Lott doing now a days... can we get AJ Klein out of the RV and convert him to saftey... LOL... 🤣
  14. There were 10 Safeties drafted from rounds 2-5 last year. All of them are solidified starters now except Bishop and Dadrion Taylor-Demerson.
  15. This clown crowing about a minimum salary contract is something else.
  16. Haven't read every page yet, but here are my thoughts. I thought Hancock had a very solid night. I'd love to see him get some reps with the first team and see how he does. I was hard on Landon Jackson last week, but I will say he did better. He went from stinking out loud to blending in and being largely unnoticeable. I suppose that's progress. I said in the beginning of the off season that Shavers had a real path to the 53 man roster in a Kumerow/Sherfield/Hollins type role. I think he's on that path. In addition to his STs ability, he does something we don't see many others do routinely...he creates space down field, can track the ball and catch it. Some guys I think really hurt themselves. Mike White, IMO, played himself off the roster last night. There are going to be some young QBs on the waiver wire soon. I'd love to see the Bills poach one of them and dump White/Buechelle as the practice squad arm. RVD. I like the kid, and he's a fine replacement level tackle. But, he was passed on the depth chart last year by Grable and I don't see him leaping ahead. He's also got almost zero position flexibility. He's ok at LT, struggles at RT and does not play inside. I really wish there was a way we could keep baby Gore on the 53. Love the way he runs. But Cook and Johnson are locked in and Davis isn't getting cut.
  17. But there is one of these major mental breakdowns in coverage every time he is on the field it seems. And yes, Hamlin is a very slow professional athlete.
  18. I haven't watched the all - 22 or anything, be it seemed as though the linebackers were not getting deep enough into their drop backs quick enough(see:Andreeson in particular) and with the safeties playing such a deep cover 2 shell, the middle of the field seemed absolutely wide open. Not sure if its schematic issues with the safeties, or if they are just slow in recognition and reaction...the Bills never clogged up the middle of the field forcing throws to the outside, and you saw the results
  19. And did what with it in the 4 years he was here? What about Donahoe? He brought in some great talent to. What happened? Beane has done more than fined the QB. He has nailed mid to late round draft picks nearly every season. He made a trade for Diggs which was huge in Allen's development. Like come on, really?
  20. Whaley missed on EJ and doubled down on Watkins. That was his downfall. Whaley did a much better job in free agency, but Beane found the QB.
  21. I'm looking to maybe get one at some point here. Tired of getting in and out of a car anymore and I don't want to drive a crossover. Any opinions are appreciated.
  22. Yes, but those were moreso a McDermott signings. Just like I believe that draft was more a McDermott draft than a Whaley draft. Whaley sucked every free agency and draft he was here but in 2017 he just managed to nail it all around right before he left? Lol. I don't think so
  23. Did you hear the news? Marijuana is now legal in NYS. I suggest a couple of edibles.
  24. People on this forum like to s--- on Whaley, but he had an eye for talent. Particularly in pro personnel.
  25. Guys like Damar Hamlin and Joe Andreesen are a problem for this team. They value reliable guys like this for depth, which isn’t a terrible idea.. but these guys are depth for starters that have lengthy injury histories. We need more upside in those areas and I wish McDermott/Beane would take some risks and go with a Hancock over a Hamlin when given the chance.
  26. Hancock again with a nice play to stay clean and slow down the back.
