Their defense is the biggest issue at this point. Their offense has been very up or down, but the defense all season has been very good all season. Top in yards allowed and top defense against the pass. The one flaw is their run defense which could favor Buffalo if they can eliminate the penalties, but they have a lot of youth they invested in on the defensive line. Penix is starting just his 8th game so he is still very green which means you will get some good and some bad. The game to me comes down to the Bills running it down their throats and not letting Penix get comfortable in the pocket. If one of those things happen they still win but close, if both happens probably closer to blow out, if neither happens could be Sunday all over again. Didn't return his shopping cart at Tops

Man the afc south really throwing a wrench in the wildcard path so far. Houston looks like they’re gonna climb into the race too it seemed impossible someone like the chiefs could miss a couple weeks ago but now I’m starting to see some paths

I think Tre was brought back kind of like Hyde was to be more of a depth/mentor to the rookies but because of the injuries he has had to be put into the starting line up . I hope this is only the 4 week IR and he can come back to shore up the secondary if Max and Strong were playing to gather in the back I think it would be much better than those there now !!

Kinda all hinges on Chris jones for me…he looks like he just doesn’t like playing football anymore suddenly.. not sure if he’s regressing or just goin through the motions until playoffs all the talk of mahomes being amazing has masked it a bit but he’s been equally as responsible for huge plays in critical moments of playoff games this jags game was pretty jarring because it felt like the refs did everything they can to keep the chiefs in that game up until that last drive and they lost anyway. everyone is probably overreacting a bit to that one game

I think their defense is where they've been getting exposed, specifically the secondary. The two young safeties Cook and Hicks have really struggled. With Chris Jones not as elite as he once was the pass rush isn't as scary either so a combination of middling pass rush and out of sync secondary is leading to too many big plays downfield. And then on offense once they get past Andy Reid's scripted plays they don't have legit pass catchers that can create consistent production so the offense has been a bit all over the place. Yeah they have speed and they know how to use it but that's not enough in the NFL. Also Mahomes to my eyes still just isn't performing as well as we know he can on schedule. When he gets off script he's still elite but that pick six for example was an on schedule play where he just didn't see the undercutting LB, and he's missed a bunch of wide open deep throws that Andy Reid has schemed up for him. Off script is nice but eventually you have to just drop back and throw downfield to win games and they haven't been able to do that consistently enough.

Call me an optimist, but I think the Bills look good in this one and win comfortably. There are reasons for concern, but my gut says they come out remind people why they are considered a contender.

The afc south lookin pretty good record is trouble for them wildcard wise.. it’s shaping up to be a bumpier road competing for a wildcard than I thought a couple weeks ago IF they’ve gotta go that route might be the team we just lost to that potentially keeps the chiefs out funny enough. Still a longgggg way to go though they could easily win the division still. Really don’t have to panic in the division race unless they lose to Denver or LAC again
