Do I think Beane and McDermott are the best front office we could have? No. Do I think they have the ability to win multiple Super Bowls? No. Do I think they have the ability to win one Super Bowl? Yes, with a little bit of luck and Allen playing at his best. Do I want Pegula to hire a replacement, seeing all of his previous front office hires across the Bills and Sabres? HELL NO!
-
Well yeah there’s 0% chance we’re fully healthy, and probably only like a 10% chance we don’t have injuries at multiple key positions.
-
We all want that. We’re just a little cranky that they lost like that and left the entirety of Bills Mafia two weeks to stew in that 💩 while they play 18 everyday for a week.
-
….yet cared less. I bet I got ya there. While we’re at it, passion for college basketball is a thing of the past for me. Empty times, but I’m looking for new stuff.

Not going to happen until they get rid of McDermott

Problem is Beanes philosophy of winning with #2 types, or who they thought would be #2s. He invested a 1st in Kincaid --- a move alot of this board liked. But it wasn't what we needed. He panicked when Addison went off the board IMO. Essentially a 1st in Keon. Someone who you liked, but isnt winning his matchups. Then decent #2/3 money, in Shakir, Palmer and Samuel. Im not against this approach of Beanes. He has just majorly whiffed on alot of these player decisions. To say we haven't aggressively gone after a #1, is like saying we know our 2023 1st and 2024 1st were gonna suck out of the gate. Those are legit chances to get a borderline #1 type. He screwed the cap with decisions on #3 WR types --- thats massively hampered us - and obviously made poor decisions. So my biggest gripe isnt what positional decisions, its their constant "misses"

At least we aren’t the Browns ……….

If this season continues the way it has, Brown and Smith will definitely have a big impact on their QB. Must be something in that Lake Erie water... -
Yea if we dont get the 1 seed this is pretty much a dream scenario
-
Yeah, like the Heisman Trophy BS the networks push in September lol. The Bills are playoff bound. Either Division champs ( most likely) or WC. The AFC is wiiiiide open folks.

Same.

Then eat your heart out!!! https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/rankings/national-universities/top-public?myCollege=national-universities&_sort=myCollege&_sortDirection=asc Go Blue!!! Now that we've insulted him multiple times, should we ask the OP to change the subject to what we're actually talking about? (and btw, "Songs of the Humpback Whale" is always a good listen when you're trying to come down from raiding a village) This takes "playing with our food" to the next level! I'm very sorry to hear Avisan. Not that it should make you feel better but many people I know right... close loved ones... are beset with serious health issues. I hope the levity here brings you some relief from the cares and worries. 👍 -

Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?

Okay, my last attempt at this. If everyone gets healthy after the bye, what happens? The run defense does get better with the additions of Hoecht and Ogunjobi, and Milano is back. However, the secondary with Rapp, Bishop, and Tre White, I'm pretty sure they still stink. Jordan Poyer, really? The offense, with everyone healthy and playing well, returns to a top-scoring offense. If the playcalling gets better, the run game works, and Allen has his top targets back. Shakir, Coleman, and Kincade, with the latter having the highest catch success rate at 66.7%. NO Saints WR Chris Olave has a 50% catch success rate. Josh Palmer can get separation, as we saw before he was injured against the Falcons, 2 targets, 2 receptions for 60 yards. We also know that Curtis Samuel can run a 4.31, Moore a 4.35, and Shakir a 4.43. More than enough speed to break away. It's all about how the Buffalo offense is schemed and set up. Right now, the Buffalo Bills are a run-first team that has a power run game, second in the NFL in rushing yards, attempts, and TDs. Bills OC Joe Brady has stolen my heart with his run scheme, but alas, his passing schemes appear somewhat flawed if he can't get the most out of his players like he does with RB James Cook. And even with Cook, he simply doesn't utilize him enough in the passing game. I can see perhaps why, with him having a 35.7 receiving success rate. pretty stinky. So, have him work with the JUGS more often. BTW, fans that say that Amari Cooper opened up the offense just by being on the field seem to ignore that it stayed open even when he was on the bench. McD should tell Joe Brady to get his crap together with the passing offense, or he will hire a passing game coordinator -

I don't think you could go wrong drafting an Ohio State WR every year somewhere in your draft...they are 3 and 4 deep every year and have been for the better part of 3 decades. Same can be said about LSU, but dam the Buckeyes 3yards and a cloud of dust is ancient history - though they still develop a ton of great running backs too... -

Right….and Brady is our offensive play caller for this year (at least). 🍻 to him figuring it out. If he doesn’t, we should trade him with picks for better WR. -

I shouldn’t have included the Pats in the discussion because they have so much cap space that they don’t have to play tricks right now. Sorry. What I’m talking about is the Eagles practice of paying players low annual salaries, instead compensating them via massive signing bonuses. This requires the owner to put up massive outlays of cash upfront. They then prorate that cap hit across multiple years, including 4 void years. Look at AJ Browns contract. They have pushed over 50 million of his cap hit into 4 void years. Their bill comes due in 2030 across the board, but until then they can keep signing players even though they have a QB, two WRs, a RB, and multiple defensive players that are amongst the highest players at their positions. The owner’s willingness to pay up front allows them to act like an uncapped team in a capped league. -

I've seen the idea floated out there but let me present it differently. I've seen people ask why can't Shakir be the outside (X) WR and there are a variety of answers with the most arguments ending in "his arms are too short". I'll put it out there again though. With the amount of tight formations we run with 2 TE's if we have the WR's lined up tight to the formation anyways Shakir essentially still has his two way run. He's quicker, a better route runner, and has much better hands than anyone else on our roster. -

Imagine not giving credit to Brady for winning his 7th Super Bowl in dominant fashion because he didn’t rack up a ton of passing yards.
