  1. Past hour
  2. This is so true. We are pretty much waiting for hindsight to dictate how we feel about this guy when it's all said and done.
  3. Goodell is just doing his job of trying to make his 32 multi billionaire bosses more money. Reducing the bottom line exists in every major corporation in America and around the world, workers are a big part of the bottom line. Goodell has to do more than hug draftees to earn his $$$.
  4. U.S. Department of Education Finds California Department of Education and California Interscholastic Federation in Violation of Title IX https://www.ed.gov/about/news/press-release/us-department-of-education-finds-california-department-of-education-and-california-interscholastic-federation-violation-of-title-ix
  5. I am not here to say who is better or not between Payton and McD - that is subjective. But I will say using "way better" is an exaggeration. While Sean is a great coach in general, lets not also forget he and the Saints struggled to even consistently make the playoffs in NO with prime Brees, he had a lot of things that became critical of him while he was in NO as well. He is a prime example of how a SB ring can mask a lot of things and make people forget a lot of things. Would I put McD ahead of him - no, at least not yet, but I also don't think its fair to say Sean is "way better" either. If McD wins a SB this year, his body of work, win %, and track record will all be better than Sean's.
  6. Bingo. Everyone universally agrees he’s pretty good. Everyone universally agrees he’s not close to the best. The majority of folks with worse would gladly take him tomorrow and the few folks with better are glad they don’t have him. Perfect analogy.
  7. I would say he's more like the Dak Prescott of HCs. He can put up some great numbers that everyone will point too, but in the back of your mind there's always that thought of "Hmm not sure if this is the guy that can ever get it done." You could do better, but you also could do a LOT worse, so you hope the stars will align one year.
  8. Probably his love of drift cars. It actually makes him a logical choice as a grand marshall...to me at least.
  9. Call it whatever you want, he still missed the playoffs with the same exact record that McDermott made the playoffs.
  10. I have 6 extra for Sunday July 27 if you want two. No $ PM your email so i can transfer to you.
  11. You are a Payton guy, but if McD went 7-9 three straight years with prime Josh Allen, there would be blood in the streets. Payton had the better highs, but I don’t think he’s THAT much better tbh.
  12. I waited on Irv, he was a short man and was rather curt. I worked at a very popular restaurant/nightclub ‘76-‘81.
  13. No.. a lot of finance bros live outside NYC and from what I’ve heard, most of them who do live in Manhattan voted for Cuomo or not at all. Women in NYC corporate jobs easily fall into the 50k-100K and 100k+ range and militantly voted Mamdami. It was the working class Black & Latino women who voted Cuomo to no avail.
  14. You do know that Allen made some of those bad decisions in the final drive of the Houston game and its why McD was pissed on the sidelines right?
  15. I am not a fan of PFF and in this case, I totally disagree. Some in their top 10 deserve it but to put Stefanski in ahead of McDermott is frankly a joke.
  16. I think you're talking about his legacy which is fine - he has a better resume than McDermott. In the upcoming season...? I don't really see him as the #2 coach going into the season. Other than beating the chiefs backups in week 18, they lost their last 3 games and beat almost no one with a winning record all year.
  17. Wrong century. Its all mouse clicks these days
  18. The greatest HC of all time was like .500 without the greatest QB of all time. I think it’s safe to say McDermott isn’t in Bill Belichick territory, no? Speculating he would be far better than the greatest coach ever is kind of a bridge too far imo.
  19. such an iconic great Visual here. one of my fabs a-ha take on me
  20. I actually think Cam's "student" co-host is what makes this video funny. Taking notes and acting like he doesn't understand football. That part was entertaining to me. When you can be funny without being obnoxious and keep in character...that's the stuff.
  21. They didn't "hit the wrong spot." They hit exactly what was intended, and followed it up seconds later with another, again, exactly what was intended and what the physics suggested. Nonsense.
  22. that people don't understand how HR works in todays world blows my mind. i can excuse people not getting the whole point Roger serves. He acts on the decisions of the owners en masse. he's supposed to be the face of the bad guy, the heel to the guilt and blame of the problems to keep the individual owners at bay. that people willy nilly don't get upset at the league corporate system is what is funny. the administrative stuff is amazing. not to be political at all but that the league was willing to fine teams for not changing their logo during June is an example of how the administrative wing of the nfl is far more powerful than just Goodell.
