  1. Past hour
  2. Ten days ago, Shedeur Sanders was pretty widely considered the second best QB in this draft…now everyone is acting like they knew all along that he’s a fifth round talent. He could actually turn into a decent quarterback. I can’t stand the Coach Prime show, but it’s a stretch to think he’s going to have any meaningful negative effect on the Browns’ situation. Being drafted in the fifth round might have been just the shot of humility that that family needed.
  3. The Browns also fleeced the Jags of their 2026 first round pick and still got Mason Graham in the first round. I think the Browns had a good draft. They have no sure answer at QB, but at least they drafted two rookies who have a shot at improving the position for them. Their defense is going to be a pain in the ass and their offense will be much better.
  4. Calling a Jew antisemitic names while simultaneously calling him a Nazi, Homelander is a special breed of stupid.
  5. Yeah, F the Chiefs. Mahomes is on the downside of his career 😃 (a man can dream - he has taken a bit of a beating lately). But agree, kidding aside, we have to run our own race. And despite the recent past, I like our guy better than their guy.
  6. The sky is falling, the sky is falling , it's falling the sky !!!
  7. They didn't bring back Q who was a TE & did a lot of the dirty work in the offense when it comes to blocking, Cosell someone that knows a heck of a lot more about players than the Bills fans said he was the best blocking TE in the draft, and last Beane always follows his board and takes the best player available plus it was a position of need and more than likely cheaper than bringing in a FA plus bodes well for the future of the team and the run game . So what makes no sense ?? Just asking ...
  8. Really? You felt compelled to teach me NFL history? 🤦‍♂️ None of what you claim has anything to do with my belief that the Browns have butt ugly uniforms. They look like a toilet bowl filled with bloody hemroid stool.
  9. That’s a myth. The Bills don’t beat themselves. We did not lose the turnover battle in a single game last year, including the three playoff games. I’m not sure that’s ever been done before in the history of the NFL. As for the refs, remind me which games they cost us last year…
  10. Yep agree. I was a pretty decent semi-pro soccer player over here. I was never gonna make it pro but between 18 and 22 I earned decent money from playing in the leagues just below the professional pyramid. I had a knee cartilage op at 22 and I was just never the same. I never had the same confidence in my body, in my ability to explode into a sprint, in my ability to leap into aerial challenges. Even in my ability to plant with my right leg when I really wanted to strike full force with my left foot - which as a left back was a pretty key component of my game, I'd get the ball and had the passing range to drop the ball short, intermediate or long into that left channel for team mates to run onto. I lost control of my long ball totally. By 24 I'd slipped down three tiers of the pyramid (i.e. was playing in a league three standards lower) wasn't enjoying it and quit. So I do cut Kincaid some slack. It's fair to do so. But year 3 is massive for him. The Bills need to take a view on his option at the end of this season. Right now I'm not sure they'd pick it up.
  11. Today
  12. I agree with a previous poster there is no way to definitively answer this question as we’ve revalued our defense. It’s all simple guessing.
  13. First, your logic in no way follows from evidence to conclusion. Saying we should keep Cook no matter what he costs because the Bills have done well when they run a lot is like saying that eating oranges is really good and healthy for you and therefore you need to buy this particular orange right now despite the $500 price tag and the fact it’s got a huge black spot on it. Doesn’t follow. You’re right, Beane’s not stupid. Not at all. That’s why he refuses to get over-focused on something he wants and greatly overpay for it. Beane has a consistent habit of drawing the line and not going over it. It’s how he does business, and it’s smart. More, you’re very clearly showing how little you let your evidence affect your conclusions. Your prejudices are clearly visible. You say that in 2021 that when they lost to Tampa and then, according to you, they “ran more than any other team becoming the best running team in the league. They did not lose again.” That’s an extremely clear case of letting a pre-judgment deeply twist your conclusions in ways the evidence just doesn’t support. Not even close. (Just as a sidebar, pretending the evidence really does support that turning to the run caused these results, was Cook on the team then? Wait, we got these great run results with Singletary, Moss, Breida and Taiwan Jones? Well then what do we need Cook for?) Anyway, what the facts show is that when they were going according to game plans early, they passed far more often than they ran with the exception of the final game against the hapless Jets.. That’s why they had (reasonably) high run attempts. CAROLINA in the first half, 25 pass attempts, including two sacks along with 9 runs. They started off mostly passing and got way ahead and then started running more. In the first half, Up 17-8 at halftime and 25-8 by the end of the 3rd NEW ENGLAND Don’t need to spend time separating the halves. We threw 47 passes and ran 28 times in this game. ATLANTA In the first half the Bills ran 23 pass attempts including two scrambles and 12 runs (also including the scrambles). Then the second half was mostly runs. NJ JETS In this game, the Bills ran 46 passes and 33 runs. In the first half, 26 pass attempts and 14 runs, but that’s deceptive. We got the ball with 1:39 left in the half at our own 16 and ran 10 pass attempts in a row. Take out that drive and it was 16 passes and 14 runs. But again, overall 46 passes and 33 runs. Pretending that they did really well down the stretch of that season because they ran a lot? Flat-out ridiculous.
  14. I think we're still light in the LB area. Would have been nice to grab a couple. Milano is awesome but has been having troubles staying on the field for a full season.
  15. Bears have t proved anything. But they will get atleast 5 prime time games this year
  16. Yeah I get it. I am wondering if it's possible for the rights to go to a station that isn't necessarily sports. Ala 97 Rock years ago
  17. Liked the idea of bringing him back and hopefully he played up to his old potential. Seems like a team guy and he would have a handle on our offense. With the signing of Moore, don’t see him as an option any longer or needed. Unless he signs at vet minimum, which I do not see happening.
  18. Our worst matchup is against Burrow and Mahomes Mcd defense can't stop them when it matters no matter who's on the field they know how to pick a part his zone defense.
  19. I do think it is Baltimore. They do the most things well that matches up to Bills weaknesses.
  20. I already picked one but this could have been my answer as well
  21. I would've put Philly @ Buf at least 10. But the NFL has a yearly goldmine with KC/Buffalo.
  22. Yeah it is. You want all these guys competing for two backup rolls in an ideal world. So if Rapp gets injured we likely have to play a guy that should be on a practice squad. We had to sacrifice somewhere though and I keep hearing how good McDermott is with safeties. The value of having a defensive head coach though is supposed to be masking your weaknesses on that side of the ball. Other wise, what is it you exactly do here McDermott?
  23. We don't have a P.U.N.T.E.R. !!! 🙂 🙂 Seriously, the biggest piece that concerns me on this team is still defense...We are one injury away from losing Milano or Bernard and then there is no NFL caliber backups other than Williams. Last two years both these gentlemen missed significant number of games and it was evident in this teams inability to stop the run. On Offense, if you saw the highlights of the 1st half of last season, both Coleman and Kincaid made great plays before injuries stuck them and then they were never the same in the 2nd half including the playoffs. I expect both to come and contribute and improve that offense even more.
  24. Palmer has a legitimate chance to be that improvement over Hollins or Cooper, obviously.
  25. What do you think you are doing?? That was not part of the poll, not an option. Yes, what you say makes perfect sense ( and that in itself means your words have no place in this thread), as the Bills will clearly have a better defense next year, maybe even a top ten defense, or better, and their offense, well we all know what we will get from them. And with another year under Brady's belt, and the continued maturation of our young players, and some exciting new additions, and a healthy Knox and Coleman... But you know perfectly well that yours is not an acceptable answer, does not relate to the narrow poll and comically negative OP. Read between the lines: The lowly Bills, 13-4 last year, leading the AFC Championship game late in the fourth quarter, are not in the same league as those AFC behemoths. They are going to wreck the lowly Bills, just you watch. This super positive thread is designed to be a bash and then bash some more and then, well, you know... Perhaps you did not read the entire OP?, where each of those dynamic powerhouses, every team, is described in an extremely positive manner, and of course, all better than the lowly Bills, and all going to beat them up, duh, (And notice, duh again, not one positive word at all about the Bills , how they positively match up, as each of those ultra scary AFC giants is so glowingly described?) Go back and read it again, and see what i mean. You cannot disrupt this thread with this your over the top, ultra positive, albeit objective, jibber jabber. Get with the program! (And notice: not one weakness, nor negative quality, of any of those teams is ever mentioned, not one, for any. But for the Bills? In every instance an extremely negative, a fundamental weakness, is clearly included, in fact is the highlight, the main point. So the Bills are likely in serious serious trouble...)
  26. Do we have a top 10 wr room now....no. But the addition of Moore adds a John Brown element to our team. Palmer obviously replaces Cooper as a younger and slightly "better ability to separate" version of Gabe Davis. And Shakir is younger and quicker than Beasley. Samuel can assume the McKenzie role. I think the 2 wild cards and somewhat unknowns would be Coleman & Kincaid. They will either thrive or at least improve on 2024 or maybe not? If these 2 do really step up their game, then everyone will truly "eat" at the Allen buffet.
  27. This is just not true. New players, including rookies, become instant starters and contributors all the time for the Bills. Heck, even in-season trades have gotten on the field as starters almost immediately (Douglas and Cooper). White, Benford, Brown, McGovern, Dawkins, Coleman, Rousseau, etc, etc. There are countless examples of free agent signings and draft picks who came in and started and contributed immediately. When they don't, it is the exception. Bishop is going to start over Hamlin. So it's all good. Rapp played well last year. Not sure what people have against him. He is a good tackler and saved a lot of TD's, including some key stops in certain games. He needs to stay healthy, though.
