at least Anthony Richardson was a rookie when he pulled himself out for being "too tired"

Sign Peppers / Simmons? Can’t be any worse than these pathetic turnstiles!

Nominee for Weak Excuse of the Year
hondo in seattle replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was instantly happy when I saw they were punting, which meant it was obviously a bad call for the Ravens. 4th and 3. Lamar is cramping but all he has to do is hand the ball off to Henry. Henry always gashes the Bills and was averaging something like 9 yards per carry against us yesterday. The 1st down was likely. With the Bills only needing only a FG and Josh on fire, punting was clearly the wrong choice. Raven fans must be pissed. -
Allen is becoming Elite Pre-Snap(if he wasn't already)

He isn't Tom Brady or Peyton Manning level yet. Than again, no QB is. But it has definitely improved -
The "41-40 Game" seems logical.

The ultimate “so what do you do here” type team building. It’s a reality in the salary cap era that it’s basically impossible to keep together both a great offensive and defensive supporting cast. Usually, you have to pick one in spite of the other. But we have picked… neither.

Stop being so…..logical

Josh Allen, the most expensive hotdog in the league

It’s like I tell my wife: it’s not the size it’s how you dress it. … wait, what are we talking about? -
the whole Ravens last drive was odd. Handing off to Flowers when Henry was crushing our D the entire game. Just weird. Second time in a row the Ravens beat themselves against us.

Allen is becoming Elite Pre-Snap(if he wasn't already)
Big Turk replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
The irony is that with Allen, even the impossible seems possible and it's getting to the point where it's almost expected. Like if he DIDN'T come back and win last night after Henry fumbled we would have been scratching our heads...that's the ultimate sign of true greatness that Allen has evolved to. When regardless of the chances and how impossible the odds seem, you still think that he can get it done and nearly expect him to. -
If it’s any comfort, the Ravens are our worst opponent in terms of matchups, which football is all about. I doubt we will face a team as good as them, on both sides of the ball, for the rest of the regular season.
-
So that's kind of the problem, right? Our offense as constructed could work if it had a strong defense backing it. KC had a middling offense last year scoring just 24.1 PPG, in part because of below average weapons. But they went 15-1 because they had a clutch defense. Our problem is we have a middling group of pass catchers paired with a defense that looks like it is going to give up 35+ to any top tier offense. It's the definition of non-complementary football.

Josh looked so locked in preseason snap, his command was impeccable and definitely the best I seen from him.. Remarkable -
I really enjoyed a drunk Ray Lewis calling their own QB LeBron Jackson. He sounded faded.

I have nothing against Bass. I think he's a very good kicker. But bringing in a 41 year old with about 36 hours to prepare and having him kick a long FG and a highly pressured (remember: no TO to allow the FG team to come on) game winner tells me that maybe we overpay "very good" kickers. Bass is not peak Justin Tucker or Harrison Butker. Those guys are special. So was peak Matt Prater.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, it won't be long before this fan is publicly identified and publicly shamed.

Agreed. I never understood the intense hate for this man. Is he the all time best? No, but who is? Everybody has an opinion. Some people love Romo. Some people think Madden/Summerall was the standard. Who knows? As noted, Collingsworth knows football and he picks up on things I didn't see and I appreciate that. Can he go on about "a guy"? Sure, but that's just his style. There are FAR WORSE out there.

Wait no more. Stabbing video fuels MAGA’s crime message. MAGA influencers are drawing repeated attention to violent attacks to elevate the issue of urban crime — and accuse mainstream media of under-covering shocking cases. Shocking video of the fatal Aug. 22 knife attack on 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska on a light-rail car in Charlotte, North Carolina, dominated weekend conversation on Trump-friendly social media. The big picture: The rising number of surveillance cameras in public spaces, including on Charlotte’s light rail, has become a big accelerant in these cases. The video is easily shared or leaked, and can instantly pollinate across social media — a visual counterpoint to statistics showing crime decreases. Driving the news: President Trump, asked about the Charlotte video by a reporter Sunday, said he wanted to find out more about the stabbing before commenting. “I’ll know all about it by tomorrow morning,” Trump said. A Trump adviser told Axios: “This is exactly what he’s talking about, and it’s going to be an issue he’s going to highlight. This is not just about North Carolina. Other campaigns will deal with this.” As Glenn wrote on his Substack last night, “Since the number one rule for the legacy media is ‘thou shalt not support anything Trump does,’ naturally the Zarutska murder can’t be covered. And it won’t be, unless they can find — or manufacture — some alternative angle that will make Trump look bad. So far, they’ve come up a dry hole. So nothing.” And that’s why Axios started off Monday by blaming the video of Zarutska’s murder, and Republicans’ response to it. It’s adjacent to their fellow leftists originally demanding omnipresent police body cams, and then being shocked that almost invariably, they show the police responding competently to violent crimes being committed: https://www.axios.com/2025/09/08/iryna-zarutska-stabbing-video-republicans-maga https://instapundit.com/743050/

I don't hate any announcers/commentators/analysts. Part of it is that I just don't like to waste time and emotion on hating anyone. The other part is that I take what they say with a grain of salt. They don't like Allen? They don't like the Bills? I don't care.

Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory games
That's No Moon replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
MCM and 13 seconds followed by that crazy Dallas night game. MCM I had my wisdom teeth taken out a couple days before and I pulled a stitch through screaming at my television. Dallas was just disgusting. I felt dirty. That game was such a roller coaster of emotions I remember being spent at the end. I inadvertently broke a piece of furniture when Stevie Johnson dropped that pass v. Pittsburgh. The Cleveland night game was just bad. The Hail Murray was aggravating but it didn't mean much in the end and you have to tip your cap when someone makes a great play to beat you like that. 13 Seconds was tough.... -
The situation was another fan hitting a teammate. Stepping up for a teammate is not a negative.

13 seconds Wide Right Music City miracle. There are other heartbreakers… NADA as important as those three! -
Bass has more leg for sure, but even routine kicks have me hiding behind my hands and watching through my fingers. Prater seems to split the uprights with no drama.
