  1. Past hour
  2. Yes, but more importantly defenses still have the upper hand without the threat of QB run because they don’t have to designate a defensive player to account for it (Essentially playing 11 v 10 in favor of the defense). RPOs allows offenses to get the numbers advantage by putting at least one defender in conflict, as you said. So now it’s 11 v 10 in favor of the offense. With a player like Josh you could have old school triple option through RPOs where you are now putting 2 defenders in conflict playing 11 v 9. This is why you saw an uptick in our RPO game once Brady took over. He understands the numerical advantages it gives you, especially when you have a guy like Josh back there orchestrating the whole thing.
  3. I do agree that if Claypool would have signed with the Chiefs there would be a group that laughed about it and shrugged. There would also be a group saying "Andy will get him open and productive and he's finally got a real QB in Mahomes...he's going to be a weapon". It's the same thing here really. Some are high on the potential that if he recommits to football he can be a good weapon. And he can be based on his production in his first 2 seasons. So it's not that far fetched. And some here are rolling their eyes saying it was a wasted move and the dude is hopeless. And that could be as well based on his last 2 years. In any event, the dude has a Buffalo on his helmet for the moment. I'm going to sit back, watch how the process plays out for him and hope that Claypool figures it out and can be productive.
  4. Get rid of pass interference as a concept. RETVRN to old-school football
  5. I’ve never seen a sport in which it seems that pretty regularly a team is down 20+ in the first half yet “miraculously” comes back to win. And the way the end of games are manipulated is outrageous. There’s a hilarious Instagram feed of a dude who makes fun of the officiating and lack of traveling, palming, and other basic calls. Yeah, there are a few guys I enjoy watching but the game doesn’t hold a candle to watching the NCAA.
  6. I think the number of people who travel to attend the draft is smaller than you think. Certainly it’s fewer than the number who travel to attend the Super Bowl or be in the Super Bowl hosting city. I think a draft in Buffalo is coming once the new stadium is built and the existing one demolished.
  7. For sure and the two best players in the nba today can’t run or jump and are known for their indulgences with booze. They are exceptions rather than the rule, similar to Wayne. was wayne not considered a great skater? .
  8. There are a lot of rules that can be tweaked, improved, eliminated ect. The one thing I would change when it comes to rules is the enforcement of the rules themselves. Many of the rules are subjective and depend on the judgement call of the refs. And I get the "human element" of it all and that they can only see what they see. They have to see it in real time and at real speed with 1,000, things happening all around them. It's a much tougher job than Joe Fan wants to admit. However, in a day where the NFL fines players every week for miniscule things such as blocking...the errors made weekly by the officials go by without them being held accountable. But we do have the technology now to assist them. And that's what I think they should do. There should be an Electric Official assigned every game to call obvious penalties, overrule the bad calls and things like that. Furthermore, when there is a replay I wish the NFL would do what the XFL (or maybe it was one of the other "spring leagues" did...they all kinda blend together) and show the replay official in the booth with live audio so we can hear what they are doing/saying in the review process.
  9. Today
  10. This story is another of a long line of the mob and it's msm lying. It's the same voices
  11. Dems keep saying people can eat gdp. Stopped reporting crime so they can say it's down. This tool is just outright gaslighting.
  12. No one is saying the draft has to be held in or around the stadium - so where would you host the draft in downtown Buffalo and where would you house all those that attended?
  13. you do understand the difference between the two cities as far as the history of the league goes though right? If the league has to ferry and fish people all over the place in Wisconsin to make their marketing hit they’ll do it. They will absolutely NOT do that for Buffalo. They have no reason to. 1. There never be a Super Bowl in Buffalo. 2. There will never be an NFL draft in Buffalo. please bookmark or save or whatever you’re able to do on this terrible board 👍
  14. According to this site, Buffalo/Erie County has 10,000 rooms. Add what you have in Niagara County/Falls area and it probably tops out at no more than 13,000? Handful of Air BnB’s? Average 2 people a room and that houses maybe 26K to under 30K? Surely hotel rooms in Canada would be useful and a few thousand more? Buffalo would absolutely draw a ton of local folk. Not sure I see how Buffalo could handle the amount that attended in Detroit this past year. That doesn’t include restaurants and other distractions. Visit Buffalo Niagara
  15. How do German children tie their shoes? In little natzies ... American lager/pilsner is ***** ass- it seems good up until about age 17, or 34 in my case, but it is just wretched compared to a decently cared about beer.
  16. I'd love for you to be right about this! The way I see it, there are several possible outcomes for Coleman. 1) Bust 2) Significant disappointment 3) Stevie Johnson level play, ideally for at least 7 years in a Bills uniform. 4) Eric Moulds level play. 5) Hall of Fame level play. I'd be happy with outcome 3). Not thrilled to the point where I'd be doing naked cartwheels down the street. Which perhaps is just as well, because I'm no good at cartwheels. But I'd be happy. Anything over and above outcome 3 is even better.
  17. -Defensive holding and illegal contact is ten yards but not an automatic first down. -If an offensive player fumbles the ball through the opponents end zone then the ball will be placed 10 yards behind where the fumble occurred with the offense getting to keep the ball on the next down. If some defender pulls a Leon Lett then the offense takes over first and 10 from the opponents 11. Also, move the Super Bowl to Saturday night or the Sunday before President's day.
  18. Today you control the NFL rules committee with dictatorial powers to demand changes. (1) Give me an existing rule you would either (a) take away completely, (b) just tweak a bit, or (2) add your own rule, and why? So many categories to choose from…DPI, kickoffs, fumbling into the end zone touchbacks, uniforms or celebrations to name but a few. There is a great video primer on the existing rule book narrated by none other than Rich Eisen, located here: https://operations.nfl.com/the-rules/nfl-video-rulebook/ I’ll start. Through the years the NFL has managed to muddle the answer to what should be a simple question—what is a catch? While some of the most egregious portions of the convoluted Rule 8, Section 1, Articles 3-4 have been amended since the infamous Dez Bryant no catch of 2014, it hasn’t been reworked since 2018’s removal of “surviving the ground” language, but because of other notes contained in the rule, the same call problems remain: https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-catch-rules-2023-explained/gsuetg81khhjariyrqhgulzy#:~:text="How do we make this, secure and control the ball. After all, what could be more crystal clear than the 3rd catch component of “a football move?” <sigh>. A fun compilation of controversial calls for your recollecting pleasure in this regard: https://youtu.be/ZgbKNgXrFXs?feature=shared My rules committee by fiat will adopt Larry Fitzgerald’s definition of a catch as outlined by Bill Barnwell all the way back in 2017: “If a receiver catches the ball and gets two feet, a knee, an elbow or a cheek on the ground, it's a catch. If he stays upright and the ball is stripped out of his hands or he bobbles it, the ball becomes a live fumble. Doesn't that feel refreshingly simple and comprehensible? We still need to come up with a clear definition of "catch," but let's try to keep that to the shortest possible definition. Maybe it becomes a catch at the moment when the receiver grabs the ball in his hands without bobbling it. Perhaps you put a time frame on it, like the receiver cradles the ball for a half-second or a full second.” https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/21798623/three-options-fix-nfl-catch-rule-2017 Anyway enough of my ranting, what rule or rules do you need to see changed, removed or added?
  19. Yeah , I've never heard a coach say I want to be a one dimensional offense who can't stretch the defense vertically lol Of course it's not a novel idea and everybody wants to implement that But some coaches say it to save face.. knowing they will never have that aggression But others are dedicated to stressing the defense at all levels... Vertically and horizontally to create stress in the back half I do think we have the pieces the quarterback and coaches to do it
  20. AI to rule the world. Also AI…. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-8889809/amp/AI-camera-used-replace-humans-soccer-games-confuses-referees-bald-head-ball.html
  21. If Claypool had signed with the Chiefs, we would’ve collectively shrugged that off and not expected anything from him. But sign with the Bills? We’re all hoping against hope he becomes a main contributor. Perspective. Funny how that works.
  22. Your life is a HOAX, just like your hero's story. Never forget how gullible you are.
  23. August and Sept are the only months I like to get away from Florida. Living here in South Florida and SW Fl for almost 2 decades, I can say it will be hot, possibly rainy and very humid which leads to rain. I would stay at the hard rock hotel unless you really want the beach then I’d go to lauderdale or Dania beach. Unless you like tons of people then go to Hollywood / Miami. Traffic is a nightmare so plan in advance for game day travel. I never had a bad experience with dolphins fans most are fair weathered and just there for fun. This isn’t Philly 😂. If you are looking for some most do’s I would check out key biscayne state park beach, deep sea fishing, or an airboat ride in the Everglades
  24. Trading for a WR1 after June 1st has never been the plan.
