  1. Past hour
  2. The defense did a good job in the second half. Only gave up 3 points. Considering how many guys we were short going into the game and how many guys we lost during the game, they did ok. Pass rush was decent, but had to temper that with the threat of Bijan going off. Pass defense was not great…Bishop had a bad game. Run defense was abysmal and they can’t tackle. That being said, the defense gutted it out and gave the offense a chance and that is all you can ask for.
  3. Who is that senior defensive assistant I have heard about? Holcomb? Maybe he could take over at DC.
  4. Just bad news when you have White, Poyer, Shavers on a field….and it’s not a practice squad field
  5. Josh can only do so much. This offense is predicated on quick passes. When Josh can’t find a receiver right away, it all breaks down. Line doesn’t hold up, Josh is running around and nothing. His rolling to the right is no longer working as defenses have figured it out. Beane needs to pull the trigger on a WR during this bye. Coleman ain’t the guy. Love Shakir but he can’t be the only threat. Where was Elijah Moore? Needed Knox to step up and that certainly didn’t happen. Trade whomever it takes to get a body on the team.. Certainly a sellers market. When will Gabe be ready to play? Gotta talk about Coleman more. Dude is pretty much a bust. A one-trick pony that adds nothing to this offense. He is not a “go to” guy. He’s a 3rd or 4th receiver that is used a few times in a game in the endzone or sideline. Not a guy who is on the field every play running routes and not getting open. The defense stepped up after the first half. Yes, they let a few big plays past them, but they did tighten down. Considering we lost a few guys last night on a defense that is already thin, they did all right. They gave the offense a chance and that’s all you can ask for. Only gave up 3 points n the 2nd half to a team that look poised to hang 50 on us.
  6. If we pick at 18 they better move up. Might be the only time in the Allen era we’re within striking distance of a blue chip prospect.
  7. The Bills are the Sabres if the Sabres had Connor McDavid. Beane and McDermott would have been gone long ago if they didn’t strike gold drafting Allen.
  8. If they have a 9-8 year … they better find that No 1 receiver at pick 18
  9. They’re married now. They stop a lot of those “things” when the ring is on.
  10. Writing is on the wall!!! - CBs are mediocre - LBs are mediocre with no depth - Zero speed off the edge - FSs are mediocre Offense- QB is Great, Great Oline, RB is great. WRs are not working. Nobody can separate. Its going to be hard to beat legit Super Bowl contenders.
  11. He tried to address the mess he made by drafting really poorly. The only defensive contributor is a guy that fell to them thanks to an injury history. The reach for Sanders was criminal and Landon Jackson mighty never be ready. I also don't think Hairston was going to be developed right away. Hopefully as the opposing defensive coordinator.
  12. Posting this here as well
  13. Idk who is more to blame, McDermott or Beane. This roster outside of Allen, Cook and the offensive line is filled with a bunch of JAGs or worse. At this point I think I’d actually take a defense full of JAGs vs what the Bills have.
  14. this is one of those things that comes down to coaching/preparation. im sure this has happened at some point during Josh's tenure. How much of a point of emphasis did the coaches make about it. Good coaches don't even need it to happen in their own games. They see it in another game, and make it a point of emphasis at one practice or another. josh was definitely trying to hurry them. i think they snapped somewhere between 8 and 10 seconds, rather than the customary 40. not sure how much was josh trying to get a regular play call in vs Josh waiting for the offense to actually be set.
  15. So like.... does anyone have any idea how far he's along in his rehab? Said this in another thread, I know it sounds silly to want Gabe Davis on the field. But with the lack of anyone providing anything in terms of getting open beyond Dalton Kincaid (who was so incredibly missed tonight) and Khalil Shakir - I'd be willing to give him a shot right now. Give me Davis and either Olave or Shaheed in place of Shavers and Moore. We need serious transition in the WR room or we're in real trouble. And yes, before anyone says anything, we definitely need help in the Secondary too. More talent would help. But the Defensive scheme isn't changing. And it really seems like after a decade plus of McDermott's scheme in the league, the blueprint on how to tear it apart is out. Which makes the need to score at will that much more important.
  16. For the Sabres? Yes.
  17. 2023 should’ve been the year. - Cook had his breakout year - Diggs, Davis, Kincaid, Shakir, and Knox catching passes - Dawkins, McGovern, Morse, Torrence, and Brown (breakout year) on the OL - Defense was #4 in the league - Leonard Floyd had the most sacks by a Bills player in the McBeane era - Benford breakout year and Rasul playing great after trading for him - Taron 2nd team all-pro and Bernard breakout year - Ended the season on a 5 game win streak (3 playoff teams) - Homefield advantage over the Chiefs If McD couldn’t get it done with that team he’s never gonna get it done
  18. I don’t think so but whatever Hailee was doing to him last year she needs to start doing again.
  19. Today
  20. To me Ed Oliver has one great play every few weeks then disappears. For a top ten draft pick he has been disappointing
  21. Yeah, I thought that’s what Josh Palmer was supposed to bring. He did make a nice catch on that deep ball early in the game. Then he gets hurt. Shavers looked decent. Let him play more.
  22. If JA really believes that ..then I hope he will speak up … because it isn’t going to change otherwise anytime soon I suspect …
  23. Our best chance to win it was while he was still on his rookie deal and we could afford some good weapons around him. Is the issue now that we can't have our cake and eat it? Having this elite qb means we have to pay him elite money and we simply can't afford to surround him with elite offensive weapons unless we draft them well. And we seem to either keep picking the wrong guy (Coleman) or drafting defensive players. I'm not convinced this front office and coach is at an elite enough level to build a roster around a qb on top money. 13 seconds was the one....
  24. That didn't work out for ya. Dallass blew my day yesterday
  25. That's unlikely to change. Sanders just had Knee surgery and McDermott said Jones "popped his calf" and he was in a walking boot. I don't think that's something that's just gonna take 2 weeks. I'd like to be wrong though. We'll get Ogunjobi for Week 8, which should hopefully be better than Jordan Phillips in replacing Sanders. Hopefully Palmer can recover in a couple weeks. But he was still limping post game. It's encouraging that he was walking around and didn't go to the Locker Room bc it looked *bad*. Samuel, just.... ugh. I assume he'll be back, but Dear Lord has the injury bug been ridiculous with him. They really need to be on the phone with the Saints. The fact that we have no WR's that can win their battles with any remote amount of consistency is as big of a problem as our Defense. And does anyone know how far along Gabe Davis is? Like it sounds insane to want Gabe Davis, but I'd take Davis and one of the Saints WR's over Shavers and Moore every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Much like DT, this isn't changing either. Dorian Strong is on IR with a Neck Injury, he may be done for the year. And I knew that it was unlikely that we'd see Hairston until Week 8. But since they haven't even opened his Practice window yet and they aren't going to throw him into the fire the first week he's activated - we aren't going to see him for a while. McDermott still hasn't ruled out not seeing him at all. Milano, Milano, Milano. Another ugh like Samuel. Who knows when we'll get him back and how long we'll have him when we do. The Pec kept him out multiple weeks and then he almost immediately re-injured it. Now he's in the dreaded "week to week" category. I wouldn't put him out until it's fully healed at this point. Bernard is hopefully a low ankle sprain. Fingers crossed that he comes back after the Bye. Not that I think he's playing great. Man, was he missed tonight. The entire passing game runs through Shakir and Kincaid. He's the only guy who could get open with any sort of consistency last week and this week, no one did. Here's hoping we get him back and again, make a move with New Orleans for either of their guys. Otherwise, offensively, we're in big trouble. Well for Week 8, we'll definitely get Hoecht and Ogunjobi. Likely Kincaid and Samuel (not that he matters). Hopefully Bernard and maybe Palmer, but neither are a guarantee. But unless you're counting hypothetical additions to the team, I don't see 7-8 key players being added to this team in 2 weeks when we play our next game. It's important we try and make some moves at WR, CB, Safety, or LB. This team needs more help than what we may or may not have coming back after the Bye.
  26. Need to acquire more injury prone small defensive players
  27. Not sure what is worse, our soft defense or boring offense tonight. Defensive backs are horrible and defensive line does nothing to pressure the qb without blitzing.josh is now a game manager who looks like he lost his gunslinging fire and is now Hollywood Josh. Both offensive and defensive coordinators are horrible and punter sucks. Draft this year has been a disappointment with first three round picks.
