  1. Past hour
  2. It's artificial. What I mean is, to some degree, these records are a product of schedule anomalies that will soon be remedied. Many of these 7-2, 6-3 teams are either in the same divisions or haven't had their AFC crossovers yet. Yes, they won the games they won, but they also still play each other, sometimes twice between now and the end of the season. In other words, there will be many losses allocated between these teams in the coming weeks, because they all play each other. It's just math. Some could very well still rise above, but I predict a lot of split division series and up and down weeks for these teams to come. This is exactly the dream scenario that the league wished for when they started backloading division games. When you have something like the AFC West, AFC South and even the AFC North where multiple teams have a real shot and they all play each other still, it makes for weeks of compelling games later in the year and teams not resting guys.
  3. There were several wide receiver needy teams in the market and neither of these guys was moved. Also the rumor was that Miami wanted a 1st and 2nd for Waddle. I'm pretty sure your proposal would not have enticed a trade. Actually Josh Palmer has been mentioned many times in this topic so I wouldn't call him an afterthought. Also it's been reported that he's back at practice (limited) this week so he's getting close to a return and considering that he had 2 catches for 60 yards on 2 targets against Atlanta before getting injured, I think there's a lot of excitement.
  4. Something like 45-50% of recent 2024 and 2025 graduates haven’t been able to find entry level jobs in their chosen field. AI is a mixed bag, where some prognosticators believe we’re far over-estimating its impact as companies that have been heavy in it are now peeling back due to inefficiencies and the AI tech producing slop as it essentially eats itself over reproducing the intelligence it feeds on. However, many lower level jobs will be wiped away by automation via AI and then as the tech advances, we could see world economies upended if we don’t address it. End game.. the end of capitalism and a first world reliant on UBI and a drastically lowered level of living. I think it’s pretty obvious we’re going full speed ahead into the unknown. This happened multiple times in our history.. Industrial Revolution etc., where jobs went extinct and others replaced them, but they were always human jobs… what do we do when the jobs are consolidated into AI and the only non-service jobs we have are in servicing the AI? That’s not replacing old jobs with new, that’s simply erasing jobs.
  5. I'd expect a pretty even split with the added benefit of Ty getting more passing targets if he's on for later downs -- Ty took a goal line carry last week and converted, I don't see Davis as being the unquestioned backup in any manner
  6. Duck on IR and Douglas likely out. This is the wort secondary in the NFL. Let Cook rest and light them up through the air. Keep building momentum for the passing game.
  7. You don't have to be scared of them, but I am most assuredly thinking about all of them. For comparison am I worried or do I give a second thought at all about the Steelers? The Jags? Even the Chargers? No, not a bit and not a moment. However, the Broncos, Pats and Colts are playing some darn good ball, and some darn smart ball, too.
  8. Bad teams can be dangerous teams. We already played them once and it was much closer than most thought it should've been. The Bills sometimes have the problem of playing to the level of their competition and not being able to put teams away. Not saying that's going to happen here, but they still need to bring their A game. Miami was a mess the second half of the Ravens game last week and appeared to have mailed it in. Let's hope the Bills can put them away quickly and get some rest for some of these guys who are nursing injuries.
  9. I’m anti-AI because I see it as ceding our humanity to soulless, unfeeling machines. We squishy bags of meat separate ourselves from the animals because we can make art and music. I find it highly disturbing that people would give that up just to save themselves time and effort to sit on their couch.
  10. There wasn't much available. Slim pickings. Also, takes 2 to tango in a trade. When the other side doesn't wanna deal, can't force them. One new DL guy, in our current situation, with all of these injuries and washed up players, not going to help. One guy will never be the cure all Magic Pill unless that ONE guy is the QB. Also, just ONE receiver? That's not going to help us. No chemistry/rapport built with Josh Allen and doesn't know the system. That's always built in the Summer.
  11. It's not right. That's life, but that doesn't make it right. 24 years old.
  12. do they miss Obama or life in 2012? I miss life in 2012. I made 45K and felt rich. 3.5% interest rate on homes which were 70% cheaper in asking price as well. Could go to the bar and get a mixed drink for $2 (and I did that a lot), and stop on your way home for a $4 combo meal at Burger King (I didn’t do that AS much)
  13. RIP Marshawn Kneeland. 24 years young. Heartbreaking.
  14. One thing is for sure, there is not a day that goes by that Minnesota doesn't thank their lucky stars that they made that deal. Wasnt the trade a 1, 4, 5, and 6th for Diggs and a 7th.
  15. How horrible for him and his family. He was realizing his dream. Simply, life just sucks sometimes. RIP young man.
  16. Exactly. If you allow for hindsight on the Diggs trade, then you have to allow the 31 other teams the benefit of that same hindsight. In that case, Jefferson would probably be the first overall pick, given what we now know about Burrow's injury history. At worst, the second pick. Tee Higgins probably goes top five too.
  17. I have never seen so many guys get hurt in PRACTICE
  18. Awful. I hate to speculate, but I will. In absence of a police report / accident report, etc. perhaps this was some sort of congenital health issue / defect. You hear about athletes at all levels, dying suddenly from previously unknown health issues. Very sad. Prayers to his family and friends, whatever the circumstances are.
  19. Tragic. RIP. Cowboys are on a bye. Just makes me wonder where he was and how it happened.
  20. 1:30 today Joe Marino live chat YouTube- Did the Bills whiff at the deadline?
  21. RB Durability is the main issue here. Its hard to give a man 8 digit salary when the odds say the player will probabaly miss some significant time during the contract. This is changing somewhat, thanks to what we witnessed with Derrik Henry Saquan Barkley, and now Cook and some others. WR became over valued when the league shifted away from top RBs and used the pass to set up the run, but it appears that the run game is witnessing a resurgence across the league to take advantage of defenses designed heavily at stopping the pass. I agree the game is won and lost in the trenches, no RB is worth it if the OL can't create the holes, and same can be said about a DL that can plug those holes and rush the QB. I put a premium on the OL and DL because nothing can really work well without solid lines. No matter the phase the league is in the OL and DL have to work well for the offense and defense to work well IMO
  22. Just tragic. Rest in Peace 🙏🏼🙏🏼
  23. I heard Beane say on WGR yesterday that the Bills have a championship roster. There.........stamp-of-approval.......'nuff said.
