  1. Past hour
  2. That would be true now, yes. Earlier in the week when I wrote it...no.
  3. I was never the biggest fan of his game. He was like a Jamal Adams lite. I think he has value used correctly but I’m not banging on the table for him. I’m not sure his skillset is what we are missing. imo, the Bills need the FS they can trust in the center of the field.
  4. I like that we're talking about slow starts but not remembering that Lamar Jackson also did not play this preseason, and that the Ravens started 0-2 last year after a week 1 loss on primetime against the team that bounced them from the playoffs and a very bad loss against the hapless Raiders in week 2.
  5. I'd go with Gunner because I'm worthless when it comes to players on other teams. PFF is the only reference I have.
  6. Yes, it's the title of the thread topic. Take your tds to the 1500 posts you start and just talk to yourself.
  7. we need a free safety....
  8. Unknown but mostly no. Here's how it breaks down: The Pats have $4.5M of amortized signing bonus on the books for Peppers ($4.5M at $1.5M per year). That stays with the Pats, no matter what. But according to Spotrac (and not included in that $4.5M) the Pats owe him $2.5M in guaranteed 2025 salary. If Spotrac is correct, then in theory another team signing could provide the Patriots with a minimum of $1.255M salary relief (vet minimum for 8 yr vet) up to $2.5M IF Peppers does not have language in his contract which allows him to double-dip. That's not a contract detail that usually trickles out to the fans.
  9. I’m not advocating for KISS in the big picture (the Kennedy Center honors seems to be a big circle jerk tbh) but just based on sheer popularity they were hugely popular and relevant for a long time. Joni Mitchell was an important artist on some level, but she was 152 years old when honored. Meanwhile a brilliant artist like Enrico Pallazzo is passed over again and again. It’s just not right.
  10. They extended him week 1 of 2023. He never came close to hitting FA. which is the larger point. Chris Jones was never available to get. If your point is “I’d rather have Chris Jones than Micah Parsons,” my counterpoint is that I’d rather have 26 year old Aaron Donald riding a unicorn than either of them. But the choice was never Chris Jones vs Micah Parsons, the choice was what we have now vs Micah Parsons.
  11. Oh hey another box safety who’s almost a linebacker
  12. Scheme fit I get but I also think much like the 2017 Bills trades if other teams liked his fit in their schemes then the Pats could have at least gotten a later round pick swap for him. He doesn’t have a gigantic salary cap hit either that would make him untradeable. I don’t mind the Bills grabbing him if they think he’s better than what they have but I doubt that’s true given the circumstances
  13. So let me get this straight - you want me outraged over allegations against Democrats, pushed by the most corrupt president and regime in history, while you’ve never once called out Trump or the endless parade of MAGA frauds. My record’s clear: no one is above the law, not even Democrats. Now go on, say the same about Trump, let's hear it.
  14. i don't live under a rock. i enjoy her early music. i keep up to date on the world. i find it interesting your insult insinuates that ignorance on this topic is preferred vs. knowledge when criticizing. sorry, i don't pride myself in ignorance. rather, i would choose to speak on what i know to make my opinions vs what i can only guess or make up. kind of interesting, don't you think? i know what i am talking about and can say i enjoy her music. i can say i do not know her and she does not have an impact on my life - this can also be true. logic is difficult for some. intelligence is uninteresting to others.
  15. rather stick with Poyer
  16. I've got 1OA in a 12-team snake draft, PPR, ESPN scoring. I think I want to trade draft slots. Thoughts?
  17. After spending all last season on the PS, Hardy should have looked much better in the preseason. As it was, he looked utterly lost-- like he had just been introduced to the Bills' defense. Really inexcusable. As athletic as he supposedly is, he's apparently in the wrong sport.
  18. Why can't a team ever release a Free Safety? Every time I see a S released, I get my hopes up then see it's just an in-the-box thumper type guy. Peppers is not even close to a fit for our current safety needs.
  19. Yes, we have to draft one of each as well, but I don't give it a second's thought other than to see who the W1 opponent is.
  20. I like this idea. Be aggressive. Just have someone for kickoffs.
  21. Yes, it seems Taron and the safeties will need to help out the second corner no matter who he is. But do you really start a guy who is promising but clearly wasn't ready even before he missed weeks of training camp, as well as the first four weeks of the year? I mean, you do if you're the Browns, but not if you expect to go to the Super Bowl. Right, hence my expectation that a trade is in the offing. The problem is just too glaring. Trouble is, you don't want to give up too much with a promising first-round pick ready to start next year, probably, so you're not going to get much, either.
  22. Glad it is not just me. His "A fan's reaction to ..." and weekly round-up videos are great (sometimes, frankly, brilliant) but I have tried a few times to sit through his streams, both alone and with other podcasters, and have had to bail every time.
  23. Yeah I am really high on both TJ Sanders and Walker. I think both will make strong impacts this year, and if they are impacting the game guys like Oliver and our edge guys like Groot, Bosa, etc are all going to be better. And if a guy like Walker can command double teams it also makes life better for Bernard and Milano. And that dominos to the secondary, if we are being more disruptive upfront it makes life better on the secondary. The counter balance to that optimism is that they are still young, we are still playing in a rotation, but I do think they are going to be impactful as rookies. And our 2 guys coming off suspension after week 6 are guys who will contribute as well and will be coming in with fresh legs. So I am pretty optimistic right now about our defense, even with my concerns at Safety.
  24. Had eye exam at Lens Crafters this AM. Getting bifocal lenses replaced with readers. Will be getting them in about a week . while I was there, I think I got a message from beyond. When I was walking out of there, I started getting back spasms. A good friend from when I lived in CA died at the time I was in the Lens Crafters. Got a call a couple hours later from another friend out there telling me the bad news.
