Tend to agree with this, except Pitt might play us hard on the road and Cinci should be a W. I knew a short week in Houston against that defense would be tough. almost unfair. But the team is just flat and I don't think we win enough to do more than a WC road game. I'd like to say we win that, but depends on the matchup. The Bills just don't do well against teams with good pass rushes.

Well the top D was still 5 and 5 and we got beat by a 3rd rate qb.

Brady has definitely become too predictable. He also drew up a terrible game plan, as he should have anticipated that pass rush. Why don't the Bills have a screen game so as to counter that pass rush? McDermott is just not good enough.

Its like they want the other time to have the option of rushing any of 11 guys and on run plays our guys have to block all these guys. Spread it out and at least limit what the D can do. I think Brady has gotten so obsessed about turning WR's/TE's into run blockers.

I say yes, he should have been gone a few years ago. The main issue now is, for what? The cap mess is going to keep the necessary rebuild from happening in Josh's last years. Salary Cap is not the problem with these Bills. They are ranked #19 (Spotrac) in dead cap. That is not bad at all.

I still think we make the playoffs - will we win a game? Well thats a whole other question.

Groot hasn’t been great. The injuries to Oliver, Hoecht, and Bosa have been killers though..but I do think McDermott is doing his best he can with what he’s been giving. The defense always seems to settle in as the game goes on. The defense gave the Bills plenty of opportunities to get back in the game last night. Held the Texans to 3pts and less than 50 yards of offense in the 2nd half and the Bills offense did nothing.

It's a very common phrase and a very common play. Read the defense and throw the ball where there's going to be space. The receiver can adjust easier than the defender. Edit: For an example, go watch the Josh Palmer catch against the Ravens. Jaire Alexander is "running the route" with Palmer but Josh leads Palmer upfield on a rope where there's space and Jaire can't react fast enough. This happens all the time in the NFL.
