Parsons traded to Green Bay, given $188 million contract

Glad it is not just me. His "A fan's reaction to ..." and weekly round-up videos are great (sometimes, frankly, brilliant) but I have tried a few times to sit through his streams, both alone and with other podcasters, and have had to bail every time. -
Yeah I am really high on both TJ Sanders and Walker. I think both will make strong impacts this year, and if they are impacting the game guys like Oliver and our edge guys like Groot, Bosa, etc are all going to be better. And if a guy like Walker can command double teams it also makes life better for Bernard and Milano. And that dominos to the secondary, if we are being more disruptive upfront it makes life better on the secondary. The counter balance to that optimism is that they are still young, we are still playing in a rotation, but I do think they are going to be impactful as rookies. And our 2 guys coming off suspension after week 6 are guys who will contribute as well and will be coming in with fresh legs. So I am pretty optimistic right now about our defense, even with my concerns at Safety.

Had eye exam at Lens Crafters this AM. Getting bifocal lenses replaced with readers. Will be getting them in about a week . while I was there, I think I got a message from beyond. When I was walking out of there, I started getting back spasms. A good friend from when I lived in CA died at the time I was in the Lens Crafters. Got a call a couple hours later from another friend out there telling mete news.

Preseason is not an entertainment product is something people forget. It’s mostly for starters to shake some rust off and then for backups and PS players to get in reps to see if they can make the roster. I do hate how for season tickets they will make you buy the preseason games but that’s the cost of doing business no one forces people to get season tickets

I expect this is similar to some of the stuff McDermott and Beane did when they took over in 2017. They moved on from a bunch of players who were good (Gilmore, in FA) or could play (Ron Darby, 2015 2nd round pick - started for us 2 years and was still starting in the league last year at age 30). In some cases it was because they didn't fit what McDermott wanted to do defensively; in others it was because they had trade value and Beane wanted to stockpile picks; in some cases it was because they weren't "culture fits" Obviously Peppers has no trade value or they wouldn't have cut him, but my guess is, he either doesn't fit the culture or defensive scheme for Vrabel

I'm a little fuzzy on the rules here. If a team offered him a new multi year contract would the Patriots still be on the hook for all the guaranteed money they owe him? Basically, could Peppers double dip?
-
Exactly, plenty of people want to see the young guys, camp battles, etc. But some people are complaining about the games being "unwatchable" when the purpose of the game is about player evaluation, not entertainment. And there are a lot of people who do find camp battles, young guys, players battling for a roster spot, etc interesting still and entertaining even though the reason these games exist are for the coaches and GM's to put together their rosters.

I have heard that... he always wants the holder to carry a towel and wipe the ball down... then he loses focus and you have to get him back... LOL

Rapp is definitely the top one. I agree there

Get to know our offensive line - dope interview

Chemistry and consistency are big for offensive line play. So much data and institutional knowledge have all backed up that idea. Overall the Bills offensive line went from frustratingly ok to bad from 2020-2022 to one of the top units in the league -
FWIW that's the exact opposite of how Gunner Bill sees him in the post above yours.

I’ll give Vrabel and Wolf this, they are cleaning house on guys that don’t fit what Vrabel wants or expects. We’ll see how it plays out and whether it backfires or not

I like that dudes comedy (Pack fan) but hearing him just talk shop makes me want to punch his face -
They prefer salt?

This offseason/preseason seemed pretty thin on fun, dark horse candidates. Or maybe I'm just getting cynical. He's on the PS. I'm still holding out my dream of him someday playing sixth O-line in a jumbo package, and catching a pass.
-
Why would they release him if he’s so good? What would be their reasoning?
-
Poyer tho....
-
And yet you don't have to go.
-
The people on those sites don't usually have Poyer's steely baby blues or Rachel's....winning personality. They do tend to have terrific stamina and exemplary breath control, though.

The issue with high ankle sprains is that guys don’t usually get the 4-5 weeks off they fully need in season because more than likely teams are desperate to get them back and usually only give a couple of weeks off before pushing a guy out there at 80-90%. Shakir’s injury occurring very early in camp meant he got a month or so worth of time off which means he probably came back in proper time

Kenny Clark is a large run-stuffer, while Oliver is a quick penetrator. Both are DTs, but pretty much play a different position.
