  2. Hurdy Gurdy Man is the name of the album... not just one song.
  3. You have a strange view of this. Yes- Klay and draymond will both be in the HoF. I promise. Who cares if players are transient? Does that mean they aren’t as good? It means that players have more options and more control of their futures. The great players can go where they want and play with whom they want to play with for the most part. It’s just difficult to fit 3 max contracts under the cap unless you can draft/acquire bird rights to 1 or 2 of them. but again- saying that there never be another finals with 6 HoFs is just a reckless claim and will prove incorrect. Who cares if Durant hasn’t won since leaving Gs? Does it make him any less great? He’s also 36 years old and still playing very good basketball. Barkley, and Malone never won one and both tried to latch on to already built teams in order to get themselves one because they couldn’t win one. Are you saying Durant wasn’t great because he joined a super team to win a title? The thunder were competing against 3 dynasties in the warriors, heat and spurs for every year. What does this have to do with the talent level in the nba? Nothing please provide some insight as to how the league rosters, top to bottom, is lesser now than it used to be. ai sees it differently and provides examples I’ve already given you: Yes, the consensus is that the overall talent level in the NBA is higher today than it was in the 1980s. This is due to a combination of factors, including improved training methods, a larger global talent pool, and a game that emphasizes different skills. Here's a more detailed breakdown: Improved Training and Conditioning: Modern NBA players benefit from advanced training techniques, nutrition, and access to better facilities. This leads to players being bigger, faster, and more athletic than their 1980s counterparts. Global Talent Pool: The NBA has become a truly international league, with players from all over the world showcasing their skills. This expands the talent pool and brings in players with unique backgrounds and skill sets. Evolution of the Game: The modern NBA game emphasizes skills like three-point shooting, ball-handling, and passing, which are more prevalent today. While some may argue that certain aspects of the game were more physical in the 80s, the current game requires a broader range of skills from players. Role Players: The skill level of players in the bottom half of the league is significantly higher today. Role players in the 1980s often lacked the versatility and shooting ability of today's role players. Scoring Inflation: While some argue that the increased scoring is due to rule changes and a more favorable offensive environment, it also suggests that players are more skilled at putting the ball in the basket. Comparison to the 1980s: While the 1980s were a fantastic era for the NBA, with legendary players like Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and Michael Jordan, the game has evolved. Today's players are not just skilled in one area, but are versatile and able to contribute in many different ways.
  4. For me it has to be Greg Rousseau. I really like the way he plays football a lot. I truly do believe that he will be a 10+ sack, meat and potato type of DE.. He has developed well over the last 4-5 years and I still think he has upside.. Honorable mention for me is Dawson Knox. I have been highly disappointed with his play over the last two years, at one point I thought he was a top 10 TE in the NFL. When he is in a groove he is an absolute menace to defenses. I really wish he would rebound and be the player that we all know and love. Who do you guys got???
  5. I understand what you're saying about the g league and the effort for sure They are professional basketball players trying to make the biggest league in the world It has to be high effort.. but I'm just too ingrained in the college basketball and love the traditions and rivalries and hustle I really don't even watch the NBA except for some playoffs but college basketball is definitely a love
  6. That is an excellent point about the G League and effort. I’m sure there is little loafing going on there. Strangely, it’s an anonymous world to me and associated with nothing I recognize so I don’t care. They don’t have the teams you love and the teams you hate, and they don’t have March Madness.
  7. I want the View canceled immediately or I’m not donating for the mid terms. And John Oliver - deport him to while they’re at it. We don’t need hate American liars here on TV 24/7. It’s just wrong.
  8. Yep this thread still sucks.
  9. Disagree. He can make it based on statistics alone. And right now, Josh Allen is well on pace (barring injury) to shatter every dual-threat QB record on the books. For his first 7 seasons in the NFL, Allen is currently: - 1st all-time in total yards - 1st all-time in total touchdowns - 1st all-time in total wins Over 13 playoff games, he is also: - 1st all-time in postseason yards per game - 1st all-time in postseason touchdowns per game - 1st all-time in postseason touchdown/INT ratio Looking strictly at the Bills history, Allen is only a couple seasons away from breaking every Bills passing record currently held by Hall of Famer Jim Kelly. He's already passed HOF running back OJ Simpson in rushing touchdowns, and will pass HOF running back Thurman Thomas next year. He's currently #5 in rushing yards all-time for the team, and (believe it or not) it's actually possible for him to become #1 in that stat too. Has any QB ever broken the yardage AND touchdown records for their team in BOTH passing and rushing? Currently, Allen has 262 total touchdowns in his career. He's already over half-way to being Top 5 in the history of the NFL. Meaning 7 more seasons at the same pace, and he's right there. Now, I'm not sure if he will ever catch Tom Brady (677 total), but everyone else on that list (Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Brett Favre) can potentially be passed if Allen can keep playing into into his late 30s at a high level. Seven more seasons makes him only 36, and some QBs are now playing well into their early 40s. At the current pace, he's also half-way to being Top 10 all-time in passing touchdowns (#9 or #10 depending on how long Matthew Stafford plays). It's totally conceivable for him to land right around the Top 5 on this list as well. And the clincher... Allen is also half-way to being #3 all-time in RUSHING touchdowns (he will likely pass Cam Newton at the QB position either this year or next). Again, not sure he can quite catch Emmitt Smith at 164. But he could pass everyone else on that list, including LaDainian Tomlinson, Marcus Allen, Adrian Peterson, Walter Payton and Jim Brown.
  10. Just watch it until you need glasses.
  11. Trump should immediately create a ministry of truth. Oversee every single “news” outlet. Just like the 1st amendment intended.
  12. Actually, this took me by surprise when I went to my first NBA game decades ago. I was used to watching (and playing) college ball where the effort was 100% all the time, sprint here, sprint there, it’s a pretty frenetic, grueling, non-stop pace. The first NBA game I went to in person was Rockets v Knicks back when Allen Houston, Latrell Sprewell and Stevie “Franchise” Francis were on the court. The amount of jogging the players do... I guess it doesn’t really show up on the television, but watching it live? Yeah, the guys definitely coast for most of the game. I haven’t seen a playoff game live, but noticed they still do a fair amount of jogging (especially after made baskets). When a college athlete can hit a high percentage of his jump shots pushing his body on both ends of the court, that’s beyond impressive to me. On the same token, as an NBA player it’s easier to hit a higher percentage of shots conserving that much energy, so the fact you’re already taking the best shooters from college and allowing them to coast/conserve energy, all they’ve gotta do is knock down the shot. If they’re extraordinarily skilled like Curry, they will feast all game. If you want consistent effort, tune in to the G League. It’s closer to college ball than NBA. Those guys hustle like they’re trying to get an NBA contract 😂
  13. Not so fast, my friend!
  14. Ya, it's real hateful and authoritarian how he calls for the first amendment to be followed. Makes his sound like Hitler or something!
  15. Big Ditz talking about authoritarianism. What a comedy on here.
  16. As I said he certainly wasn't awesome But there's a difference between being outright trash and even being subpar after his injury
  17. Coleman made huge plays with excellent yac so he had an awesome ypc........but wasn't anywhere near the consistent weapon they needed him to develop into by the end of the season. In 2023 Kincaid caught a ton of passes but his yards per catch was just pathetic. No juice. They were rookies being force-fed targets when they clearly didn't really know what they were doing. In his end of season criticism Beane strongly implied that Kincaid bought into the bogus hype that he had this excellent rookie season and thought he had it figured out and subsequently didn't work hard enough to get better in a league that now had tape on him. He thought improvement would come naturally. I think Beane cross referenced that when talking about Keon as well. Like Keon should learn from Kincaid's struggles.
  18. ….but…. what if you go blind?
  19. Sounds like the protest last week should have been called. "No kings unless I agree with the politics." Where are all of those protestors in responses to Obama's statement? Or was it only partisan and political?
  20. I think it's a moot point, as if he plays a long career and isn't hampered by a serious injury, he'll at least make a Super Bowl. But I disagree. If he plays for a long time and doesn't fall off a cliff early, I think he's already Hall of Fame bound. His accolades, numbers, records, and performances in games that are considered perhaps the greatest of all time alone will get him in. It's silly to say, "well Warren Moon was the last person to get in without a Super Bowl appearance so Josh can't do it without one". His career (again, without a major injury derailing things) will easily surpass that of Warren Moon. Dan Marino appeared in a single Super Bowl, but had he not, he'd have still gotten in. And Josh is a modern day Dan Marino level QB. I also feel pretty safe in saying Philip Rivers will make the Pro Football Hall of Fame without a Super Bowl appearance. Maybe not 1st Ballot bc of that, but he will make it in the coming years and reset the clock on that supposed qualification. We're obviously putting the cart before the horse here and I don't like talking about such things bc I'm slightly superstitious. But, in my opinion, Josh Allen is a Future HOF'er right now with or without a Super Bowl appearance so long as he doesn't fall apart before his mid 30's.
  21. Wait - is there some sort of silly conversation going on about Tua vs Allen? What is happening. Tua's own mother wouldn't choose Tua over Allen, they are not in the same league. Take away Tuas first read and good luck with that. This is the kind of silly conversation that happens when people try and form conclusions on cherry picked items from stat sheets. This is some pink offseason stuff lol
  22. I like the way you walk I like the way you talk Let me hold your hand Try to understand I want a girl like you Tell my troubles to you Don't be afraid You've heard what I said Let the four wind blow Let 'em blow, let 'em blow From the East to the West I love you the best #fats domino https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNTSvy4nDus
