Um, I just made a passing comment. You're the one dwelling on it. What's not positive about a single personal opinion. Carry on. Don't worry, the Bills will be fine this year.

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
Scott7975 replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Was gonna post yesterdays video but someone beat me to it 😃 It's coming along nicely. I was one hoping for a dome but it's whatever. If I was still working I could afford to go but SSDI has me broke. I hope someday I can afford to go to one game just for the experience. It's hard for me to sit for a game like that anyhow but I have to experience the stadium at least once. -
Ideally, the Bills PS this year is well suited to BOTH a) contribute weekly to the preparation of starters and coaches, and also b) fill in at a replacement level for a week or two late in the season when a particular position group or two come down with the injury bug. Can't have any more guys putting off an RV trip to instead suit up against an HOF HC, QB, and TE trio in the playoffs. (Would a Ciarlo or a Jenkins represent upgrades to a retired AJ Klein in a playoff pinch after their full seasons in the program on the practice squad? Would Dane Jackson or Jalen Kimber outplay Elam from the AFCCG? *personally I think Ingram would have (?) and still could...)

But he didn't go to Harvard. You have your facts mixed up... after signing Jordan Poyer and Jordan Phillips, Beane then attempted to sign Jordan Mills and Jordan Palmer but Pegula nixed the plan. It hasn't come out yet but the team is very concerned with Beane's mental competency. He's starting to do some very silly things... the Davis signing the most recent. Did anyone see Beane's maniacal laugh on his recent podcast appearance? He's cracking up. Apparently there's what can only be described as a phobia, that he'll somehow ascend to the 53. Hear and heed! (great post)

Gotta admit that remix at the end with Marv and the “Right Here, Right Now” gave me the chills.

What is your X-Factor(variable) for the Bills this year?
DaVinci replied to BillsPride12's topic in The Stadium Wall
I believe the X factor this year is Josh Allen. I think Allen is going to improve his accuracy and be better at making quick decisions, reading defenses. -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - On the Eve of the 2025 Season

Bills melancholy is excellent. I do sort of feel that way. I suspect it will pass once I see some real football Sunday night. -
Gabe Davis signing with the Bills (going to practice squad)
NewEra replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Samuel is a WR. His only problem is injury. He may not be worth his contract, but he contributed in some of the biggest games last year. Not splashy numbers as some like to point out, but he made some clutch plays. Moore, imo, is the guy that has to make some plays in the first month or he may end up hitting the bricks. He could be one or two drops from not having a job. -
OP, if you're going to start a new thread that could have fit just fine in the existing game week thread, you should really double check your numbers.

A lot of #4 WR have unreliable hands, incoyand average about 35 receptions a year on average and that’s what Gabe is…. Someone broke down Gabes 2022 “monster” season of 800+ yards….roughly 50% of his yardage came in 4 games. FYI, he had more games with under 20 yards than he had over 100 yards receiving. 7 games under 40 yards receiving. He was a non factor the majority of the season.

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - On the Eve of the 2025 Season
US Egg replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
Reading this spikes a sort of Bills melancholy I feel with the advent of the new stadium and a sort of disconnect with it all. But I digress….It is a season to believe, like a kid on Xmas eve. -
You both are right. The only thing hard knocks has produced is drama and now they changed to rules and went to a team that is winning with a winning culture so they can't make chicken sh!t out of chicken salad. So we get all the B/C/D reel stuff instead of the good stuff that we likely wouldn't even care about but the bills want to control all of that internally/dont let them air it and I give them credit for it. Now hard knocks knows not to come back any time soon.

I saw the “highest completion percentage 55%” part of the post and thought, “ I don’t remember him struggling with completions in the playoffs. Low and behold I check Allen’s stats and he was 16/22. That’s 72.7%. Maybe the rest of the stats are legit but I’m not bothering looking them up. EDIT: Just checked the 2020 playoff game. 23/37. 62.1%. Yeah, for real I’m not looking up any more.

Marv had the best take on the locker room at Jim Kelly's HOF induction: Leadership, was he good in the locker room? Heck no, his locker was a mess! Our equipment managers Hojo and Woody were good in the locker room; Jim led by his actions out on the playing field.

Too early, but there’s a decent chance that if we end up dropping this game, we look back on it as the playoffs begin and say “man, that’s the one result in the regular season I’d love to change…”
-
This was shocking to me. That locker room is a goldmine of humor and slapstick competition that in itself could have created a dozen quality episodes. Instead they chose to try to create overdrawn melodrama in a place where there is too much genuine character for that crap to exist. The little I saw ended up being nothing more than a microcosm of the modern NFL; pushing fake manufactured drama instead of allowing organic entertainment to happen naturally.

Game week thread - Ravens at Bills SNF
newcam2012 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Your CB2 position was dicey early last season but played pretty well at the end of the season. Let's see if that position gets stronger. I'd be pretty frustrated if I were a Raven fan. You arguably had the best roster 2 years and counting. Lost a stinker at home vs KC and lost to Buffalo by playing sloppy. I think the Ravens were the better team. Not sure what it's gonna take for the Ravens not to choke again. -
The one thing I don't get though is they must have had so much content that had nothing to do with drama/controvery/secrets that they chose not to use. They have hundreds of hours of guys mic'ed up - there had to be lots of fun/goofy stuff that wasn't dramatic or controversial - there seemed to be very little of even that. It's kind of amazing to me they didn't really even fully reveal the humor/goofiness of Josh, which is almost hard to do. In this last episode they end up filming parts of other interviews with Brandt and the Bills social media as their content? I still enjoy any Bills content, including this, but think it is a letting them off a bit easy to just say it was boring because the Bills didn't want any drama.

Thanks for another insightful contribution on the subject at hand; we all appreciate you no longer trying to make it all about yourself and how everything is beneath you in a way that got you tossed out of here for the last seven months. Congrats on such a successful step forward on your personal road to developing more meaningful understanding and the ability to be a positive contributor.
