Your 2025 Democrat Party
Orlando Buffalo replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
This is another amazing comment from a Democrat, makes an insinuation and then pretends differently. AR-15 is QB, Daniel Jones has had a one good year in the NFL, Richardson has had one good game. -
McDermott - "Still looking for that other safety"
MrEpsYtown replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I complained a bunch when they re-signed Hamlin because I think he is terrible and I feel like McDermott likes to stay in a comfort zone with guys. I was fearful having that dude around would tempt coach to go with ole reliable and that’s where this is probably headed. Hopefully, Bishop or someone steps up. The Simmons thing has been a no brainer for 2 years now, perhaps he wants too much. I am guessing McDermott is trying to light a fire with his public comments but that stuff is cheesy. Get the Bishop coached up…the mistakes he is making are fixable. -
McDermott - "Still looking for that other safety"
Beck Water replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Now that was a Shot Across the Bow I believe McDermott said it's the hardest position to learn in his defense (I would have thought that would be MLB, but whatdoIknow)? Hardest to learn not the same as "most important" -
OBAMA’S ‘OBSCENE MONUMENT TO HIS EGO’ DRAMATICALLY BACKFIRES AS $850M VANITY PROJECT SPARKS OUTRAGE: President Barack Obama’s promise to build and revitalize blighted neighborhoods was a centerpiece of his first term in the White House. But now, nearly nine years after he left the Oval Office, he might be destroying one critical area in the city he called home, the Daily Mail can reveal. His $850 million presidential center in Chicago – due to open in April – has come under fire from residents, community leaders and even onetime supporters who now warn that the massive 19.3-acre facility in Jackson Park is gentrifying the neighborhood, increasing rent and forcing families out. Alderwoman Jeanette Taylor, who represents much of the area where the center is being built, told the Daily Mail she is a fan of Obama and believes in the project but has fought aspects of it to protect her constituents. Her efforts have had mixed results. ‘We’re going to see rents go higher and we’re going to see families displaced,’ she told the Daily Mail. ‘Every time large development comes to communities, they displace the very people they say they want to improve it for,’ the Democrat added. ‘This was no different, and we’re living what is actually happening. The city of Chicago should have done a Community Benefits Agreement before the first shovel went into the ground, but they didn’t.’ A CBA is a legally binding document that outlines what a developer will provide for a project such as affordable housing, local hiring and environmental protections. C’mon — it’s a moment to a guy who said that merely winning the Democrats’ nomination to be president was “the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.” Surely you can trust his environmental intentions! In 2019, Jon Gabriel described the library as looking like “A discarded Chinese take-out box. The backside of a Star Wars sand crawler. The Washington Monument with the interesting bits lopped off. That’s what sprung to mind when confronted with the initial design of the Obama Presidential Center.” Over the past century, it’s a truism that the vast majority of modern architecture never looks as good when built as it does in model format. And the Obama Presidential Center was looking stillborn while still only styrene: https://archive.is/0fRUW

Spoiler alert....2nd game gets worse!

Yeah i was proud of Sean. He senses that complacency and guys reading their press clippings of how good they are. Too bad they came out against Chicago and did the exact opposite of attack. But let’s see the starters in week 1.

McDermott - "Still looking for that other safety"

Luke Kuechly was the most important player in McDermott's Carolina defense. And no, there wasn't even a close 2nd there either. -
Mine always seems to start at 9:05. Anyone else have the same issue?

Anyone still watching? It's about to start! I wonder if HBO is gonna keep it all warm and fuzzy or if we will see anything that resembles real

It's going to be sad if both of the Chiefs early pick WRs develop into legit weapons. Rashee Rice looked like he was on his way to becoming a true WR1, while Xavier Worthy was developing into a big home run threat. People defend Beane's early round draft failures saying it's partially because we pick so late each round, yet the Chiefs actually pick later than us. And so far they've managed to get their D right before us, find an All Pro CB before us, draft at least one great WR before us... We already couldn't beat them despite their injuries & missing weapons, or when they had to finally play on the road, but now they continue to add great players & all while staying in better cap shape than us. Beane has had 8 drafts now, and we've only found 1 star player in the early rounds & several good - very good players in the later rounds. But we need more ELITE players on both sides of the ball. The fact this team got to the AFCCG with 1 All Pro is a miracle.

Truth. Spicy Dragon is killer. The Rachel is my other go to. But, yeah, Jonny C’s got pricey. It’s close, so takeout is easy at least.

I know McD has said that safety “is the most challenging position to learn in our defense.” And I remember that quote because it took me by surprise. I would’ve thought MLB was the most challenging with all its responsibilities. -
