See!? This is the type of stuff Beane just isn’t paying attention to!

Learned a bit about this while naming one of my kids. Jr and the 2nd are two different things. When you make your son a Jr. you become Sr. When you die, he loses the Jr. and just takes the name. If you name him the 2nd, you become the 1st and when you die, he continues to be the 2nd. Also, the naming can skip generations (name your kid after a grandfather, etc) or even branches, (named after an uncle) as long as the name is exactly the same. Useless fact of the day 😅😁 Go Bills!!

That’s pretty much it. He was drafted on a projection of what he COULD be, not what he is. He’s a giant man, with good, not great athleticism (by NFL standards) and by all accounts a hard worker. I think fans were expecting more than he’s shown thus far, but based on him falling down the draft boards from the original projections, it looks like the NFL talent evaluators saw something they weren’t as hyped on as the fans. TYPICALLY, those guys are more right than fans. He looks to lack the “bend” around the edge the really good ones have, I don’t know if that can be taught per se or if it’s really more of a God given gift. He was getting flushed with ease in the preseason, by guys who also aren’t on active rosters right now, so it’s not a great start. There’s a chance he could be something, there’s a higher probability, he doesn’t work out to be anything in the NFL, the odds are not in favor of people making it, no matter what we all want to think. At the end of the day, there are 32 teams and at best there’s 6 DE spots a team, so less than 200 people employed world wide for the job, it’s not great odds of making it, even when drafted to do it. I have hopes he figures it out and develops into something, he seemed like a solid value in round 3, much like AJE in round 2, but take a look at AJE, he’s nothing special (again, by NFL standards). Odds are, if Jackson gets it going, you might get a similar type of production from him. I know people saw a big, crazy looking, white guy and thought Max Crosby had landed here and maybe he will turn out to be that, but it’s 99.9% more likely you get Chris Kelsey at best. You may be right, but honestly I think he has some talent and might be showing more in practice. He’s another late round guy, trying to make a mark and I’d agree he hasn’t been able to do a lot, but he is on the field and that’s no small feat for a guy in his position. I don’t think they would play him if there wasn’t something there. With the depth at DE, he must be doing something to see the field.

Technically it could be K-Gun 2.0 since the K stood for McKeller, the TE who had WR like athleticism...in this case it would be Kincaid.

My best guess. Solomon is playing teams and has seniority. Over the summer Jackson didn't clearly surpass him. My best guess is Solomon is getting extend looks because when Huecht and Ogunjobi return decisions have to be made. At this point Solomon looks to be in the outs. He hasn't done much with his opportunities. Vs athletic Qbs he has not done well with contain or open field tackling. I dont understand his placement in rotation.

I’ve never seen a team lose a Super Bowl using a tight end at punter ive seen a ton lose it with a punter punting

As a 60+ yr old white guy I realize that I'm not in the target audience for a Super Bowl halftime show. I think the last one I watched was Tom Petty what seems a million years ago. I take that back, I watched Shakira. The NFL knows my halftime ritual is to burn one or two, get rid of old beer and get new beer and another slice of pizza... 30 Minutes gone... If I want music during halftime I'll put on you tube and select something to my liking... My wife will be glued to the TV for this halftime show.

I don’t think the coaching was bad overall. That 4th down call from Brady was kind of dumb. Defensive calls were fine, but the players did not execute well on D overall. A lot of misreads, lot of missed tackles, lot of dumb decisions (Bosa on setting the edge especially). Still we win by two scores and put up over 30. A workman like effort and victory.

9/28/2025 Bills vs Saints post game thread

Yeah, I dont think it has anything to do with Codrington being "bad" or doing something to get himself benched, but more to do with Samuel being paid $9M/yr and the other guys coming back. Codrington is a one-trick pony. And we are too short on roster spots to keep guys who only do one small thing. -
Dude is getting blown up way too often. Getting old and soft?

He's the longest tenured Bill according to Deon.

The penalties in the 2nd quarter were maddening. -
TO 2 there was only 10 guys on the field, and it led to stopping their 2 point conversion. Not necessary?

Time to discuss Reid Ferguson...

I have wondered whether teams might change up how they kick. What would happen if the placekick was placed an extra 3 yards back? Or if kickers on short FGs used no steps to wind up? I also still don’t get why the NFL doesn’t allow for the whacky college punt formations. -
Zack Davidson for punter

Come to think of it, ALL of our injured players got hurt playing their own positions… -
It’s this kind of in the box thinking that got us here in the first place, it’s time to go big.

It's hard not to like the guy, and I hope he develops into a solid player, but I've been skeptical about his talent level since seeing him slipping all over the turf at the combine. I believe it was during the 3-cone drill, but it may have been a different metric for pass rushers. I forget exactly, but I remember thinking maybe he's got the wrong cleats for that turf. Considering what I saw at the combine, and now following training camp and preseason games and not getting on the field, I have to think he may take time to develop or could be a gamble that won't pay off. At least not this year.

Or, or, or, what about, maybe they sign a guy to punt, that is an actual punter?

listen, the trick play is him actually punting
